On a dusty hill overlooking a small Egyptian town, what appeared to be an abandoned construction site suddenly stirred to life. Mixers, excavators, forklifts, bulldozers, cranes, and drag buckets sat motionless in the desert heat—yet no workers were anywhere to be seen. Then, as if responding to some invisible signal, every piece of machinery began to move.
The heavy equipment rolled and rumbled across the sand, drawn together by an inexorable force. Metal scraped against metal as the machines collided and interlocked with mechanical precision. A silver-white mixer locked into position as a head, while a red excavator formed the torso. A yellow bucket became the right arm, a light brown bulldozer the left leg, a yellow crane the left arm, and a green overload device snapped into place as the back. Within moments, a towering robotic ape stood where the construction site had been.
"Control, this is Thirteenth Team—we need immediate support! Large-scale Decepticon confirmed!" The monitoring agent's voice crackled urgently over the radio. The massive combiner before them was Devastator, and his sole purpose was to excavate the ancient pyramid.
As if Devastator's awakening had been a battle cry, hidden Decepticons throughout the region revealed themselves and launched coordinated attacks on the approaching human and Autobot forces. This time, humanity's defenders were different—Bio-Mech Corps teams from nations around the world, equipped with advanced weapons and enhanced reflexes. Their improved capabilities were so remarkable that skilled soldiers could take down Decepticons in single combat. Fighting alongside the Autobots, they struck devastating blows against their mechanical enemies.
Meanwhile, Devastator had reached the ancient pyramid and began his relentless climb toward its peak.
Air Force reconnaissance helped Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and the other Autobots track the enemy's movements. Though they didn't fully understand the Decepticons' objective, they knew it had to be stopped at all costs. The Autobots spread out, racing toward the pyramid through waves of Decepticon resistance that slowed their advance. With no alternative, the others provided covering fire while Optimus Prime pushed forward alone to confront the primary threat.
But the Autobot leader hadn't run far when he suddenly stopped in his tracks.
"I have a partnership with the humans now," Megatron said, stepping into his path. His voice carried an odd mixture of mockery and resignation. "And you protect humanity, so... we are allies now."
"The humans didn't kill you," Optimus Prime observed, his voice low and measured.
"No. They've been studying me, torturing me, dissecting every component to steal the technology they desired. Why do you think human technology has advanced so rapidly in recent years?" Megatron's tone dripped with bitter sarcasm.
"Then what are you doing here?"
"Activating the Star Harvester. The Fallen is coming, and I—at the humans' behest—am here to delay your progress." Above them, the sky blazed with weapons fire, yet the two ancient enemies spoke like old acquaintances meeting by chance.
"You think you can stop me?" Optimus Prime's battle mask slid into place as an energy sword materialized in his grip.
"Let's find out!" Megatron charged forward, wielding the ion blade that Aidan had crafted for him.
But five years of captivity had taken their toll. Megatron's reflexes were slower, his movements less precise. Optimus Prime's relentless assault quickly overwhelmed him, and the ion blade went flying from his grasp during the fierce exchange. Without his weapon, Megatron found himself on the defensive as Optimus Prime's attacks grew more aggressive. A devastating sword strike carved away part of Megatron's head, sending him staggering backward.
Clutching his wounded cranium, Megatron transformed his hand into an energy cannon and fired a concentrated blast. The shot connected, forcing Optimus Prime back several steps. But the Autobot leader quickly retaliated with his own energy bombardment, his sword held steady while an energy shield manifested on his other arm. The battle's tide had turned decisively—wounds multiplied across Megatron's frame until he finally collapsed, unable to continue fighting.
As his fallen enemy lay defeated, Optimus Prime turned to see Devastator already at the pyramid's summit, his massive claws tearing into the ancient stone. The Autobot leader abandoned Megatron and rushed toward the pyramid, but a devastating energy blast from nowhere struck him directly. The impact sent sand and debris swirling like a tornado across the desert.
Through the settling dust, a figure emerged—a robot with a massive sniper cannon for a head. Behind him, a colossal black spacecraft descended like some predatory beast from the stars. The bounty hunter retracted his energy weapon, revealing a skull-like face that seemed to grin in the dim light. This was Lockdown, sent to Earth by Quintessa to locate Merlin's descendants and the Quintessa Scepter. But days ago, he had accepted employment from The Fallen to help activate the Star Harvester, with energy crystals as payment. He was the instrument of humanity's betrayal.
The two titans clashed with earth-shaking force, their battle so intense that no one could break away to stop Devastator's excavation. At the pyramid's peak, the massive Decepticon's claws finally broke through to reveal a mechanical framework—an ancient device that resembled a signal transmitter. The Star Harvester had been found.
Several drones suddenly burst into the war zone, bearing the corporate logo of KSI. As their cameras activated, people across the globe witnessed the unfolding catastrophe in Egypt. They saw Transformers locked in brutal combat and the desperate struggle of human Bio-Mech Corps units. Finally, the footage focused on the battle between Lockdown and Optimus Prime. The massive spacecraft loomed overhead while on the ground below, Optimus Prime was being systematically overwhelmed.
At the pyramid's summit, a dark figure materialized beside Devastator—a robot of pure black with blood-red energy coursing through its frame. It held an ornate scepter, and its face resembled an ancient pharaoh's mask. The Fallen had arrived. He observed Devastator's work briefly, then turned his attention toward Optimus Prime's position.
In the live broadcast, The Fallen's form dissolved into shadow and vanished. The camera feed switched to Optimus Prime's location just as viewers worldwide watched in horror—a scepter had pierced straight through the Autobot leader's chest. He was lifted off the ground and displayed like a trophy before the watching world.
"Earth is about to be destroyed," The Fallen declared, addressing the drone's camera directly. "Enjoy your final moments." Once the Star Harvester fully activated, all surface life would perish as the sun's energy was drained away. The broadcast signal then flickered and died.
Despair gripped the human viewers. Military commanders prepared to authorize nuclear strikes in a last desperate gambit. But KSI's presentation was far from over.
"Look!" In a crowded square, a man suddenly pointed excitedly at the restored video feed.
A massive steel figure was plummeting from the sky, its enormous shadow engulfing both The Fallen and Lockdown.
The impact shook the earth like a seismic event, sending desert sand surging outward in towering waves. When the dust settled, a mecha as tall as the pyramid itself stood revealed in the broadcast.
Joshua Joyce appeared in the corner of the screen, ready to explain the Wanderer mecha to a stunned world.
