Chapter 435 - Beating A Bunch Of Girls!

Trap A had always been meant to be infallible, no matter who walked into it.

Saiko Intelli had found her greatest helper in making Trap A a success, not among her schoolmates, but in the Hero Commission, which organized the Provisional Hero License Exam.

The entire stadium was divided into zones.

City. Industrial area. Forest. Mountains. Plain and rocky unoccupied fields. Even a proper lake and a waterfall fueling it.

These areas not only provided different terrain for the students to play to their strengths, just as Yo Shindo from Ketsubutsu Academy had done using his Tremoring Earth Ultimate Move, but they also served a quite practical purpose.

The industrial area? It literally had chemicals and compounds generally found in a typical site in the real world.

The mountains? They had several caves for those who were stealthy, letting them wait it out and plan their ambush.

The water bodies? Well, they provided an unending supply of water.

Then there was the city, with several buildings. These buildings weren't all alike, some being office buildings, some housing shops and restaurants, and some… like in the case of Trap A, apartments.

In itself, the presence of apartments was nothing special.

However, these apartments also carried all the living essentials… including gas, with a pipeline running from the industrial area to the city block.

Along with that, just like in the real world, there were controls to seal the windows with steel shutters in case of a Villain attack outside, preventing the residents from getting hurt.

All Saiko Intelli had to do was use the Blow Torch Quirk of one of her schoolmates and seal the opening leading to the ground floor from the first floor, filling the entire building with flammable gas to the brim.

Then, no matter who fell into Trap A, she could take it from there using her IQ Quirk.

The same happened when Bakugo and Kirishima walked into the city block.

Knowing how hotheaded Bakugo was, Saiko decided to goad the two UA students into an argument, first, taking their minds off the real trick.

She paired it up by sending the girl with the Cold Air Quirk, knowing that the coldness would mask the smell of the gas, giving the boys a wrong impression of what she had planned for them. Not only that, but the cold air would also expand as the gas lit up, giving them no chance to escape.

The gas that the Hero Commission had installed in the Stadium wasn't nearly as flammable as the real one, Saiko had confirmed.

Otherwise, the building wouldn't have just rattled. The resulting explosion in the case of the real thing would have laid waste to the entire city… mortally injuring anyone caught up in its reach.

Still, the explosion would have been strong enough to take out two of the strongest UA students, as per her intel from the Battle Royale, Saiko had believed.

The only thing that remained, then, was to give a way out to her schoolmate, who had generously offered to sacrifice herself for the plan to succeed.

Saiko had rejected that, though.

It would be a defeat for her and her Quirk if she couldn't checkmate the opponents without sacrificing her pieces.

Fortunately, neither of the two boys had any sensory-type Quirk.

With the thick, cold air blurring their vision, it would be easy to replace the real Quirk user with a distantly cast hologram, using the Hologram Quirk girl's Ultimate Move.

All that would remain to do, then, was to light up the gas from outside, for which the Aim Quirk was the most suitable.

Everything…

EVERYTHING had gone according to her plan, Saiko noticed, her lips curling high into a sadistic grin.

In front of her, she saw the result of her plan — smoke and fire draping a scorched building like a gown.

"Find them and bring them to me…" Saiko ordered. "Those steel shutters weren't enough to keep them in, but… they wouldn't have escaped the explosion in time either. Once I am done kicking those two out of the Exam, I will give you detailed plans regarding Trap B and…"

Saiko Intelli never got to finish her words.

The girls around her never got to thank her for her generosity.

Like a wraith, a figure appeared behind them, half of his body scorched on the right side.

The moment this figure appeared, loud booms rang out in all the Seiai girls' ears as the sound caught up.

Bakugo, missing the gauntlet on his right arm and right ankle, let out a breath, smoke coming along with it.

"ATTACK!" Saiko Intelli shouted, her heart skipping a beat.

From the girl with glasses, her hair extended as she used her Hair Manipulation Quirk. The white-haired girl's arms lengthened, becoming tentacles. Hundreds of steely spikes sprouted from the back of the short girl, all aimed at him. Another girl's nails extended, becoming razor-sharp claws. Hammers came blasting out from another girl's back, arming her and the Hologram Quirk girl. The girls with the Blow Torch and Cold Air Quirks put themselves in front of Saiko, completing the fortress.

A crackling hiss echoed as the girl with the Aim Quirk began the attack, firing the electrified steel ball from afar.

Bakugo dodged the attack by the width of a hair without even looking at it.

Silence.

Suddenly, Saiko's gaze found his eyes, hidden under a layer of soot and dust, and her heart skipped a beat.

Because Bakugo, half burnt and fully battered, was… smiling.

"Girls…" he mumbled, smoke escaping his palms and soles. "… why do most girls go for these schemes and traps?"

Sensing something amiss, the Seiai girls pounced upon him.

And Bakugo's lips curled into a smile before becoming a mad grin, finding the answer he was seeking.

"YOU!" He roared, taking a step forward. "YOU ALL… ARE WEAK!"

Seated on the benches, Luke, Todoroki, and Aizawa expressionlessly watched as loud explosions brightened the space above the city block.

In the next moment, they heard another announcement.

Katsuki Bakugo had passed, taking out an entire School by himself…

… a School with only girls.
