Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Shadows in Syrup Village

The Mirror Star docked quietly at the edge of Syrup Village. The small town was peaceful on the surface, its streets lined with cobblestone paths and simple houses, flowers in their windows. But Vihaan had grown sharp in reading the air—and something about this place reeked of secrets.

Luffy, Vihaan, Zoro, and Nami walked through the town with casual interest. Luffy, of course, was drawn by the scent of food, while Nami scanned the area for anything resembling a treasure map. But Vihaan's eyes locked onto a particular mansion up the hill, nestled between trees. A grand estate, yet the servants looked nervous, their steps too measured.

"Something's not right up there," Vihaan murmured to Zoro.

"Tension in the air," Zoro agreed. "Like someone's watching."

Later that evening, Nami overheard gossip at the local inn—the young heiress Kaya was in poor health, her butler Klahadore handling the estate in her stead. A man who had supposedly reformed from a troubled past.

"Klahadore is Captain Kuro," Vihaan said instantly. "Has to be."

"The Black Cat Pirates?" Zoro's hand fell to his sword.

Vihaan nodded. "I read a bounty sheet once. He faked his death years ago. Now he's back. And he's planning something."

They didn't have to wait long to confirm it.

That night, while Vihaan crept through the trees near Kaya's estate, he spotted two twisted silhouettes lurking near the rear entrance—Jango, the hypnotist, and Kuro's twin butchers, Siam and Butchie. The trio were whispering by torchlight, blades in hand.

"Tonight," Jango hissed. "The crew moves in. Kaya dies, and the estate is ours."

Vihaan didn't hesitate. He turned and sprinted back.

The Mirror Star's crew assembled quickly. Luffy cracked his knuckles, Zoro tightened his bandana, and Nami reluctantly picked up her staff.

"Our goal?" she asked.

"Stop Kuro," Vihaan said. "And protect Kaya. I'll handle his goons."

The attack began at dawn.

The Black Cat Pirates swarmed in from the cliffside, claws gleaming. Luffy launched into them, his limbs stretching like whipcords, sending pirates flying into trees. Zoro met a group of swordsmen head-on, blades clashing in showers of sparks.

Meanwhile, Vihaan reached the mansion.

Siam and Butchie were already inside, cornering Kaya in the study.

"Poor little princess," Siam sneered. "Your time's up."

"Stay back!" Kaya held up a fireplace poker, trembling.

"Too slow."

But before they could move, a flash of light split the room.

Vihaan appeared behind them, two mirror-shields forming in his palms. He struck first, bouncing Butchie across the room with a ricochet punch, then spun to block Siam's claw swipe.

"You really thought this would be easy?" Vihaan smirked. "Wrong house."

He twisted, redirecting Siam's next slash into a wall using a concave mirror plate, then launched a reflected palm strike into Butchie's gut, knocking the air out of him.

"Your tricks won't work on me," Butchie growled, recovering.

"Good thing I'm not using tricks."

Vihaan dropped low, sliding between them and creating a full-body dome of glassy mirror aura. Their attacks rebounded uselessly.

He ended it with a mirrored uppercut to the jaw, launching Siam straight through a window.

"Kaya," he said, helping her up. "You're safe."

She blinked, stunned. "Who… are you people?"

"Pirates," he grinned. "The good kind."

Outside, Kuro faced off with Luffy. His claws clicked with deadly intent.

"You don't understand what I've sacrificed!"

"You're hurting people. That's all I need to know," Luffy growled.

Kuro launched forward, vanishing and reappearing with speed.

But Luffy was faster now. His training showed.

He caught Kuro mid-step with a Gomu Gomu no Bazooka, slamming him into the dirt. Zoro finished the remaining crew, bloodied but grinning.

Nami arrived with a bag of loot.

"We done yet?"

Vihaan walked out with Kaya, who now smiled, safe and alive.

"We are now."
