LYRA'S POV
Sera's corruption was nothing like mine.
Where the void was cold, hungry, consuming—her blood magic was hot, violent, desperate. It wanted to burst free, to paint everything red, to make the world bleed.
"Focus," I commanded. "Feel it. Don't fight it. Understand it."
"It wants to kill," Sera gasped. We'd been at this for three hours. Her control was minimal, her fear overwhelming. "It wants to hurt—"
"Everything wants something. The question is whether you give it what it wants or teach it to want what you need." I circled her, watching her runes pulse erratically. "What does blood magic do? What's its purpose?"
"To destroy—"
"Wrong. Think deeper. Blood is life. Blood is connection. Blood carries bonds." I stopped in front of her. "Your magic isn't about destruction. It's about transformation. You're just using it wrong."
"How do you know?"
