AYLA'S POV
Sunrise came with screams.
I jerked awake to chaos—warriors shouting, wolves howling, the entire camp erupting into confusion.
The spell had broken.
I scrambled from my tent to find Beta Thorne restraining two wolves who were tearing at each other, their eyes wild with rage.
"What happened?" I demanded.
"The scent bonds!" Thorne shouted over the noise. "They're all breaking at once! Every wolf who believed Cassia was their mate—they're feeling the lie dissolve!"
I reached for my power, letting it pulse outward. Silver light spread through the camp, and instantly the fighting stopped. Wolves froze mid-strike, heads turning toward me.
"Stand down!" My voice carried Luna's command. "All of you. NOW."
They obeyed, dropping to their knees as one. But the anguish on their faces was heartbreaking—betrayal, confusion, rage at being deceived.
"How many?" I asked Thorne quietly.
"Fifteen warriors. All claimed Cassia at some point. All felt mate bonds that weren't real."
