Luna was lost in confusion.
When Commander Roger appeared, it became clear that trouble had arrived. Maybe they had guessed wrong. Maybe the King truly had been waiting for the perfect moment to avenge his son's death.
But what unsettled her most wasn't the King—it was Hades.
They had more than enough time to escape. In the crowded queues, slipping away from the soldiers would've been easy. Luna knew that. Yet instead of fleeing, they now walked under guard, being led straight into the prison beneath the royal castle. And Hades… remained silent.
Her steps quickened as she leaned closer, whispering so the soldiers wouldn't overhear.
"What are we going to do now?"
Hades didn't turn, didn't even glance at her. He simply answered, calm and steady.
"Trust me."
Luna tilted her head, bewildered. Things were under control?
She couldn't sense even a flicker of anxiety from him. But how could he be calm when they were about to be thrown into prison?
