Chapter 5 - M.R Arnold Collapse

How could the students of elite Diamond High School become so brutal? They didn't hesitate to cheer and perform strange dances while surrounding Mr. Arnold, just because every room in this school was soundproof and their shouts of joy wouldn't be heard.

"This is terrible..." Luna hid under Bella's arm, who was watching in amazement while munching on chili peppers.

Liza was almost breathless watching them. It had been fifty years since she last attended school. The children who used to be so polite and cultured now behaved worse than monkeys.

"Quickly... Hurry...!" The shout broke the momentary joy. Instantly, all the children surrounded Mr. Arnold who lay unconscious on the floor. Quickly, a child rushed over with a stretcher. This was a golden opportunity, a rare chance to be free from this killer teacher's "hell class," and they didn't want to waste it.

"Ugh... He's so heavy!" Six burly boys exerted their strength to lift the stout Mr. Arnold onto the stretcher.

"Wait! What are you doing?" Liza asked panicked, but no one paid attention to her. Where were the people who had been swarming around her earlier?

"One... two... three... Lift...!" they shouted in unison, lifting the large body with all their strength.

"UGH!"

"GRUNT!"

"PUFF...!" The six boys gasped for breath, fanning themselves, trying to inhale as much air as possible. Sweat poured down their foreheads.

"They—" Liza was even having trouble speaking, but Yoona immediately pulled her back and calmed her down.

"Calm down, Liza. Maybe they want to help him," said Yoona.

But Suzy, who was also there, watched suspiciously. She thought... that wasn't right!

"Come on, it's time..." one of them nodded, signaling to switch tasks. Right now, everyone's eyes were round with impatient enthusiasm.

"Let's push!"

"Push!"

"What is this? What are they doing?" Liza asked panicked.

"Calm down, friend!" a girl appeared among them. "This is how we help him!" she said with a mysterious, strange smile.

"One... two... three...!" the count began, the whole class shouted loudly in unison. Small and large hands now tightly gripped the iron stretcher, preparing to push it with all their might.

It even took six boys to lift Mr. Arnold onto the stretcher because of his large build. Now, the whole class worked together, preparing to exert all their strength to push the stretcher all the way to the school clinic located right at the end of their class hallway.

CREAK... CREAK... CREAK... the sound of the stretcher wheels began to squeak, breaking the silence of the corridor.

The stretcher sped forward with full power, its pace uncontrollable but moving straight towards the school clinic at the end of the hallway.

"Yeah... we're finally free!" they shouted in unison, cheering happily.

"Whoa..."

CLAP... CLAP... CLAP....

In other classes where lessons were taking place, the students were unaware of the chaos outside. The history teacher who was teaching turned her head when she caught a glimpse of a shadow passing quickly from behind the glass window of her classroom. She frowned, confused, then returned to her explanation about the past.

Liza, who was still sitting on the floor, even had difficulty standing up. Yoona and Suzy helped her, then Bella and Luna appeared from behind. "These kids are really crazy!" Liza said shocked.

"It seems they have personal grudges. Let it be, we better not interfere too much in their business!" Suzy said calmly, inviting them to return to their respective seats.

Mrs. Rebecca, the school clinic officer, was busy tidying up medical equipment when her ears caught a loud crashing sound from outside. The sound of something heavy falling was enough to startle her, making her quickly run to the door to check what was happening.

"Oh my, Mr. Arnold!" exclaimed Mrs. Rebecca, shocked. In front of her, Mr. Arnold lay helpless. Somehow, he had fallen from the stretcher and was now plunged into the large trash can standing right in front of the clinic door. The empty stretcher lay tilted several meters away from him, as if abandoned.

After that, in the classroom that now felt like a playground, the students were busy with their own activities. Since Mr. Arnold failed to enter the class to teach, they could relax during class hours.

Some were busy playing games while others watched movies on the classroom projector that they had somehow managed to turn into a makeshift cinema. Several groups were seen devouring snacks while gossiping about Mr. Arnold in whispers, occasionally punctuated by giggles.

The five girls could now breathe a sigh of relief. Slowly, the first impression magic was fading and the situation became more conducive. Actually, they all didn't like all that attention, but their natural magical energy automatically attracted human attention.

"Wow, it turns out this school is more surprising than expected," said Bella, propping her chin while observing the commotion in the classroom. She smiled. During her several hundred years of schooling, this was the first time she found something like this.

"This almost gave me a sudden heart attack! As someone who used to work as a teacher, seeing their actions gives me chills!" said Liza, holding her chest. "Moreover, children used to always be afraid and call me a killer teacher! Thankfully I never taught in a class like this." she added while sighing in relief.

"They're really very different from what I imagined!" said Suzy, her eyes scanning each student in the class, while wondering if there were any supernatural beings among them. They were too wild!

"Hey guys, come join us for snacks!" Someone approached them. A very chill guy, holding a bag of snacks while pointing at the pile of snacks lying on the floor, inviting all five of them to eat together.

"Ah, no. We just want to sit here. You guys just relax, continue your activities," Suzy refused gently. Her four friends also seemed indifferent; they rarely mingled with humans unless necessary. To them, humans were noisy and unfortunately they always met extroverted humans.

KNOCK... KNOCK...

The sudden knock on the door made the four girls jump and return to their seats. The brown-haired guy who had just invited them suddenly froze, his face as pale as paper. The whole class tensed up, swallowing hard. The previously noisy atmosphere was now replaced by a tense silence.

"Uh... isn't it..." Everyone now looked at each other, panicked. The items in their hands fell, making quite loud thumping sounds. They were immediately startled, momentarily forgetting that their classroom was supposed to be soundproof.

"We're dead!" someone whispered desperately.
