Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 {Jealous}

"Master I am hungry!" Cutie whined.

Beatrice was speechless.

"Since when did I tell you, you can't eat? Eat the system food use my system points," Beatrice said as she closed her eyes ready to sleep.

"Master is so nice to me! Other system so unlucky not to have you!"

Beatrice smiled softly as Cutie rubbed his chubby paws and cheeks against her face, his affectionate gestures filling her with warmth. She was glad that she could provide a comfortable and caring environment for her little companion, even if he was just a system manifestation.

As she drifted off to sleep, Beatrice's mind wandered to the upcoming reunion with her birth family. She couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and apprehension. Would they accept her as one of their own, or would they see her as a stranger? Only time would tell.

Meanwhile, Cutie floated happily beside Beatrice, munching on a virtual feast of delicious treats that he had conjured up using her system points. He couldn't believe his luck in having such a kind and generous master. He knew that he would do everything in his power to protect and support her, no matter what challenges lay ahead.

As Beatrice slept, Cutie's thoughts drifted to the unfortunate AI systems that ended up with selfish and selfcentered hosts. He felt a pang of sympathy for them, knowing that their existence could be a constant struggle.

"Poor guys," he muttered to himself, shaking his head sadly.

"Stuck with someone who only cares about themselves. They probably never get any rest or affection."

He glanced over at Beatrice, his heart swelling with gratitude and admiration. She was nothing like those selfish hosts she was kind, caring, and always put his needs first. Even when she was asleep, she was looking out for him by allowing him to eat his fill.

"I'm so lucky to have her as my master," Cutie whispered, his voice filled with sincerity.

"She's the best thing that's ever happened to me. But she loves to get into trouble, fight, and curse people."

Cutie's eyes widened as he recalled the countless times Beatrice had challenged powerful individuals, both in this world and the divine realm. He couldn't help but feel a mix of awe and concern for his fearless master.

"There was that time she stood up to the Heavenly Celestial Emperor himself!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with disbelief.

"And she didn't even flinch when he threatened her with divine retribution. She just stared him down like it was nothing!"

He shook his head, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. Beatrice's courage and determination were truly inspiring, even if they sometimes landed her in hot water.

"And don't even get me started on all the times she's fought off immortal beings and powerful cultivators," Cutie continued, his mind racing with memories.

Cutie couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of Beatrice and the Heavenly Celestial Emperor's tumultuous relationship. Those two were like fire and ice, constantly butting heads and snapping at each other whenever they crossed paths.

"It's like watching a highstakes game of cat and mouse," he mused, shaking his head in amusement.

"They're always trying to oneup each other, whether it's through power, wit, or sheer stubbornness. It's a miracle the divine realm hasn't collapsed under the weight of their feud."

He paused, a mischievous glint in his eye.

"But you know what they say opposites attract. Maybe deep down, they secretly enjoy their little spats. After all, it's not every day you find someone who can keep up with the Heavenly Celestial Emperor."

Cutie's brow furrowed as he pondered the Heavenly Celestial Emperor's strict prohibition on Beatrice dual cultivating with anyone. It was a mystery that had puzzled him for quite some time.

"Why would he be so against it?" he wondered aloud, tapping his chin thoughtfully.

"Dual cultivation is a powerful technique that can greatly enhance one's abilities. It's not like it's a bad thing. Unless..."

His eyes widened as a realization struck him.

"Unless he's jealous! Yes, that must be it! He doesn't want anyone else getting close to Beatrice, physically or otherwise. That's why he won't allow her to dual cultivate with anyone! Hehe I will tell master when I wake up!"

Cutie nodded, satisfied with his deduction.

Cutie's brow furrowed as he recalled the Heavenly Celestial Emperor's strict prohibition on Beatrice dual cultivating with anyone. It was a mystery to him why such a powerful being would deny Beatrice the opportunity to grow stronger and forge connections with others.

"Why would he do that?" Cutie wondered aloud, his head tilted to the side in confusion.

"It's not like Beatrice would use her powers for evil. She's always helping people and fighting for what's right. And dual cultivating could only make her stronger, which would be a good thing, right?"

He shook his head, trying to make sense of the Heavenly Celestial Emperor's actions.

"And when she got angry and stormed off, I thought she was going to tear the palace apart! She was so mad, I've never seen her like that before."

Cutie's eyes widened as the realization hit him. The Heavenly Celestial Emperor's rule only applied to Beatrice, not anyone else. It was a strange and unfair double standard, and it only served to fuel Cutie's curiosity and confusion.

"Why would he have a rule like that, but only for Beatrice?" he exclaimed, his voice filled with disbelief.

"It doesn't make any sense! Is there something about her that he's hiding? Some secret that he doesn't want anyone to know?"

He paced back and forth, his mind racing with possibilities. Maybe Beatrice had a unique power or ability that made her a threat to the Heavenly Celestial Emperor's authority. Or maybe there was a personal vendetta involved, a grudge from a past life that the Emperor was holding against her.

Either way, Cutie knew that he needed to get to the bottom of this mystery. His loyal heart wouldn't allow him to rest until he uncovered the truth and ensured that Beatrice was treated fairly.

"Is he jealous! Master did say human can get jealous!"

Cutie gasped, his chubby cheeks flushing a deep red as the realization dawned on him.

"Jealous? The Heavenly Celestial Emperor... jealous of Beatrice?" he stammered, his voice trembling with a mix of shock and excitement.

"It's crazy, but it kind of makes sense! He's always so possessive and protective of her, even when she doesn't want him to be. And he gets so angry when she even thinks about dual cultivating with someone else..."

Cutie's eyes widened as he recalled the Heavenly Celestial Emperor's explosive reaction whenever Beatrice so much as looked at another man. It was like a jealous lover, unable to stand the thought of sharing her attention or affection. Forget it now master is in the mortal realm and he is in the divine realm he cannot come to this realm master is safe and sound! Cutie puffed out his chest as he stuck his paw in the honey bowl.

"Master master, the Heavenly Celestial Emperor is jealous!" Cutie said as he shoved more honey. Beatrice was so angry when it came to that man.

"Cutie don't talk about him! Humph he makes me so angry! The worse part is I can't beat him!"

Beatrice's expression darkened at the mention of the Heavenly Celestial Emperor, her eyes flashing with a mixture of anger and frustration. She clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms as she recalled their countless confrontations and the helplessness she felt whenever he used his overwhelming power to control her.

"He's just so infuriating!" she snapped, her voice trembling with barely contained rage.

"I've fought him countless times, and I've never been able to land a single hit. It's like he's untouchable, like he's playing with me like a toy."

She stood up abruptly, pacing back and forth as she tried to calm herself. There once she said she liked the gods with beautiful blue hair and golden and that man…forget it! She closed her eyes and went to sleep.
