Within the wood Qrow can be seen bobbing and weaving through the trees trying to get to the old cabin. He thought that he had to only save his nieces but did not take into account that their friend would have followed them as well, but now he was just told that Guts stayed behind to face a horde of grimm alone to allow Yang and ruby to escape.
One thing that is gnawing at him is that when he found his nieces there was no grimm close behind them, he knows that what they did was hard to do, leave guts behind, so they had to convey negative emotions to draw grimms out but from the looks of thing it seem that guts is facing all the grimm. The boy has been on his radar, and from what he could tell is that Guts had no ill will, however he was a total mystery. But his appearance aligned with the sudden disappearance of a mercenary group, that could be coincidence but with the set of skills that the boy demonstrates and the iffy story he got from the police it seems less and less of a coincidence.
As he continues his way and he sees the silhouette of the cabin up ahead, he shoots ahead and lands on the ground running, he pulls out his weapon Harbinger, the sword extends to its full length and then shifts it to its scythe mode. As arrives close to the cabin he notices something, immediately he looks around and sees that there are no grimms in sight, upon further exception he sees the final remains of grimm dissipating and destruction in the surrounding area. He focused on his hearing trying to sense something but no it was eerily quiet.
He looks around some and sees more destruction further ahead. He follows the path of carnage with harbinger at hand, he assumes that Guts was over run and decide to move the fight elsewhere, as he continues, he came across a drop and looking at the landscape ahead he was stunted by the amount of grimm corpse that litter across the opening, their bodies in the process of disepating, he sees that the makeup of the horde were beowolfs. He drops to the opening and inspect a body he sees that was killed with a blade, a cut that almost cut the grimm in half, he looks up to glance at the other bodies and sees that all of them have a stab wound and sliced open. Qrow's head snapped to attention as he heard a noise behind him, he changed his weapon to his shotgun mode and aimed it to the general area where the noise was coming from.
The sound of something large continued as the air was filled with branches snapping, Qrow gritted his teeth for what felt like hours only for him to relax. Near the edge a car pulls forward as it stops near the drop, exiting the vielchel tai was about to call out to qrow until he sees the aftermath of a fight.
"Holy... Qrow did you do this?" Ask a bewilders tai, Qrow let out a rough sigh and proceed to change his weapon back to scythe and take out his flask before answering " No I just got here" taking a swig, tai looks around at the bodies and see that they are in the process of dispersing, a horrifying thought popped in his head as he piece everything together. " d-did Guts do this?" pointing at the bodies, Qrow just nodded and motions the area emphasizing it was all his doing. The back doors of the car open and the girls step out hearing the commotion stand behind their father. They looked at the area and were petrified by the amount of grimm laying dead. Ruby had a sense of dread within her seeing all this death, however couldn't help but be in awe that guts most likely did this, as for Yang she took in the sense seeing that the destruction here was in part her doing for having forced Guts to come along.
In the brief period Yang was brought out of her stupor when the thought of gut came to mind. "Uncle Qrow is there any sign of Guts" Qrow looked up to his blond niece, stowing away the flask. "No but from the looks of thing the fight was dragged elsewhere" Qrow can see Yang and Ruby faces twist in worry for their "listen what this can tell us is the Guts gave them hell, so i doubt that he would die without making them work for its" He said trying to convey some sense of hope, however his nonchalant bluntness didn't gave the reassures, earning a light glare from tai.
The trio make out where the Qrow was, while the girls were looking at a corpse disappearing the two adults stood at a distance talking "so... did you find him?" he said quietly glancing at the girls, "girls, don't get too close to it" The sisters did as they were told and stepped away little
"No he might be out there hiding or...." Qrow prolong his statement not wanting to finish
"don't think like that he has to be, (sigh) anyway let's keep on looking, I'll take the girls with me, and I guess you follow the bodies, I don't want the girl to be around if he's...."
"And you told me not to think like that" Qrow said jokingly reprimanding him
"Yeah, yeah" Tai said as he looked around the bodies still dumbfounded "did Guts really do this? I mean there has to be at least hundreds of them"
Qrow let out a breath and glanced at the bodies "It seems so and some more... alright let go we been here long enough" they both went their separate ways with Tai taking the girls and Qrow continuing following the path of carnage. After a while Tai leads the girls away from the battlefield but is still looking for guts. However he notice that the girls are quite "yang , Ruby take my hands I want you to be close" he said in a short moment ruby came to take his hand, as he is about to call out Yang, ruby interrupted him " um, yang said that she want to be in the back so that we did not miss anything" she said hastily casing suspicion to Tai as he looks back and sees Yang nowhere in sight
"Ruby, where did yang go?"
Yang was ducking her way through the forest; she knew that her dad was leading them away from where guts was. So she opted to leave and is following Qrow who is going deeper and deeper in the woods. She is keeping her distance not wanting her uncle to find her and send her back, she feels that she needs to be there when he finds Guts , whether for the better or worse. She's taking cover behind some brush as Qrow crouches down and picks up an object, sensing something is amiss Qrow turns his head to Yang's general direction, where she promptly ducks down. A few seconds pass and she looks up to see Qrow only to see him gone, before she could act she is startled by a slight push from behind.
"And what are you doing out here alone kid" yang quickly turns around to see her uncle with a small smile hold his flask. Yang took some breath before answering " I'm following you. You know where Guts is, don't you" Qrow lets out a sigh then takes a swig before putting his flack away.
"yeah I have an idea where he might be, but you can't come along. You-"
"I don't care, Guts is in this situation because of me! He followed me to protect us and he stayed behind to save us! So I need to see him and I promise him I'll bring help and that includes me!... so please let me go with you.'' Yang pleaded as she fiercely tried to wipe her tears. Qrow looks at her and then lets out a rough sigh rubbing his forehead, holding the urge not to drink " fine.. But just to warn you. You might not like what you find" he said gravely as he held out the object he found, Yang looked at and saw that it was Guts pauldron, beaten and slightly bloody. She let out a small gasp, Qrow put it away and returned to the search with Yang behind him.
They continues the search, as they do yang began to understand guts mind set during the fight as she looks at the bodies and notice that there a large grouping and then a small number of them leading a path, as the look yang can see dry blood spot on the ground and tree she can't help and think of the state the he might find guts in. they reach a point of the forest and immediately could tell it gives off a different atmosphere. The Grimm corpse just only started to dissipate, and it was a large mass of them, there was more blood spelt here relatively fresh.
"Alright yang start looking and... Keep your hopes low" Qrow said, they both went different directions with Qrow rolling over the corpse with his foot seeing if the boy was underneath them, Yang looked around hoping to find him. she called out his name but not so loud unsure if there were Grimm in the area she saw a tree and head to that direction she saw in the surrounding area that it was the edge of the fight when she gets closer and closer she sees something shine with the sun on the opposite side of the tree she pickup her pace getting Qrow attention she whipped her whole body around to face the and is shocked at what she sees
Guts was standing slumped over to the tree with his eyes closed, only his sword supporting not having him fall forward. His armor was damaged, and his clothes were bloody and torn. Blood was streamed down on his skin and his hair seemed to be soaked in blood, a grimms tooth was lodged in his left shoulder and his arm brace was heavily damaged with it being punctured by bite marks piercing his flesh. Yang could only let out a gasp "GUTS!" she rush to look at his state despite being in horrible condition, she notice the calm expression that he had, not something she expected to see, after a seeing his state yang desperately grab on to Guts shoulder and start shaking him
"Guts! Guts! Guts! Please wake up, Guts!" Yang continues to shake him and call his name, as her uncle stands behind her looking over the sense, it was evident that the boy had fatal wounds and most likely bled out. He let Yang be so that she could come to terms with his passing, as he took out his flask and took a large swig. He looks at the boy feeling a notion of guilt within him, if he acted fast he could have saved Guts. Over the years he learned how not to feel as much when people die around him, but seeing someone the same age as Yang dead makes his stomach turn. He hears footsteps in front of him, he looks up to see Tai and Ruby making their way to him. Qrow motions to tai not to come closer, tai quickly stops adopting a face of disbelief as he grabs on to Ruby's shoulder, pulling her in and turns her to face him.
"What- dad what are you doing yang is over there I want to see what going on" as she pleads, tai head race 100 mph as to the thought of Guts being dead. His heart sank on the notion that it could have been his daughters in the same position. He takes a knee and pulls Ruby into a hug. "Dad, what are you doing? What's wrong ?" Tai only deepens his hug with her looking up ahead seeing his oldest trying to wake guts up.
"GUTS!! PLEASE!!... You... promised" it finally sink into her as she leaned forward to his body, her head resting on his shoulder as she let out her tears
".....please...stop..." a voice spoke out barely audible but both Tai and Grow could hear it catching their attention in disbelief, as for Yang she was still crying but didn't catch the voice. "...shut up ..." yang looked up from Guts shoulder as she her a voice, before she could question a hand held on to her shoulder pull her away from him " ...please stop....shaking.....it doesn't help the pain" guts said opening his eyes and wincing in pain as each breath hurts like hell. Yang was overwhelmed by so much emotion that she embraced Guts, much to his pain let it happen as he laid his arm across her back.
As this happened Qrow couldn't help but chuckle at the 180 that happened as tai and ruby came forward. Upon first glance tai looked at Guts state wondering how is he alive, however that thought never came to ruby a she bolted to guts hugging him and relief that her friend is fine
"Guts!" she cried hugging him tight. Causing the beaten boy to let out a painful groan. He looks at ruby before looking at the two adults as they approach, he gives a small wave with his left hand only to see the extended damage to it.
"He he he man I can't imagine what went through those Grimms head when there being slaughtered by a little kid" Tai said exhaustedly relief that that Guts is fine
Qrow wanting to add his two cents "HA! this kid is not human, with Guts around, Patch has nothing to fear, he can slay a hundred Grimm." this caused the children to look at them, with ruby gasping upon having an idea "(gasp!) Guts the hundred Grimm slayer!!" she said excitedly with star in her eyes causing her whole family to laugh but guts opted to smile not wanting to be in further pain

The xiao long's and Qrow were at the waiting room in the emergency room after they turned in Guts. During the car ride to the hospital despite his injuries not only did Guts stay conscious but seem to regain his bearing and function normally. However Guts only saw his injuries as minor wounds that can be treated with a household first aid kit not wanting to go to the hospital, but they took him either way. With some resistance from gut and some convincing they had gut taken to be checked out,
In the waiting Qrow and Tai can be seen talking to one another and the girls sitting in the chair with ruby asleep due to the experience and Yang felt multiple things. Fear, anger, shock, but what she felt most was guilt. "This is all my fault," the blonde girl mumbled. She looked so broken at that moment. Tai glanced at the girls seeing Yang, he honestly didn't know what to do. He wished Summer was still here. She could have fixed this.
Qrow notices this and walks over to yang. "Hey kid, how are you doing?"
"Me I'm doing fine it guts that I'm worried" she said upset that he would ask her that. Qrow got the hint knowing that she still blamed herself for what happened. " Listen sweety, it's going to be alright. Guts alive and he getting all patched up" tai said
"Hell I think later today they will release him, I mean did you see the way he acted. He's fine" Qrow said, waving off any worries, hoping to cheer her up. Yang gave a small smile and a nod. Knowing that there trying to calm her nerve
"Qrow? Taiyang xiao long? Yang xiao long?" They all turned to look at the person calling them, there was a young woman with dark skin and short brown hair with a worried expression looking at them. Yang looked at her curiously, not sure what she wanted but she was really pretty. Qrow immediately knew who she was as he shot his hand up signaling her. "Yeah, over here. I'm Qrow this here his Taiyang and that there is Yang "he pointed at the other as she walked over to them" oh thank I came over as soon as I heard the news" she said catch her breath. Feeling out of the loop Tai finally spoke up "right Uh, if you don't mind who are you" the young woman widened realizing they never introduced each other. "oh, forgive me. My name is Casca Alsuqur, I'm Guts foster mother from the orphanage"
"Well nice to meet you name Taiyang xiao long, this is yang my oldest and my youngest Ruby" he smiles upon realizing, as he motions to yang and ruby who is still sleeping. Casca chuckles a little after seeing ruby then she turns her attention to yang who felt her gaze, fearing she might get scold at.
"Hi yang, Guts has told me a lot about you and your sister. I'm glad he made good friends" Casca said as this caught yang off guard "how-how did you know that he's here and know us" she shook off her shock, as Qrow interjects "I actually called her after Guts was taken in, thought it would be best if she knew"
"Yes thank you for that(sigh) I was so worried when you told me he was here... what-what happened? What did Guts do"
Before anyone can answer a doctor appear with a clipboard "um excuse me are you the ones who brought the boy in" everyone turn their attention to him " yes I am"
"Ok are you his legal guardian"
"No, that will be me"
"Huh that was Quick, so I'm guessing you'll be releasing him to us then"
"Goodness no!!" This surprises everyone, with the sudden change of attitude "this boy needs an immediate operation"
"For a messed up arm and some cuts and bruises?" Qrow asked, cocking an eyebrow. "Cuts and-This boy have fractures along his body, internal bleeding, broken ribs, lacerations and loss of blood. I don't know how he was still conscious, let alone alive when we examined him. We need to have a parental figure to give us the ok to proceed, he was defiant saying he's fine you can add delusional on the list. So, we had to put him under so he could calm down."
This made every one wide eyed upon hearing the news about how bad his conduction was and how he didn't seem to be bothered by it. Tai in all his life never heard that many fatal injuries in a single person, hell the dead one might have them. Qrow was just baffled by the boy's resilience, this was the final nail to the coffin, when Guts recovers, he will confront him. Casca prayed that Guts would live a life without going through pain... and die so young. Yang felt unease when she heard of the conduction of Guts, thoughts raced through his mind on if guts will survive or not once again, and the commotion caused ruby to wake up "hmm. What happen" she said drowsy
"So, ma'am if you would" the doctor called out Casca. She steeled her nerves and collected her thoughts "Yes do it please. Save-save him." doctor nodded and rush of to the ER
"Uncle Qrow what going on is Guts coming out" ruby asked syncing the tension in the air "Guts... is in intensive care. We're not sure if he's going to make it." Qrow finally said with a sigh. Yang looks around the room getting a reading from everyone. Her dad and uncle had solemn looks on them, ruby looked like she was trying not to cry. Finally, she looks at Casca although she just met this woman, she was surprised that she had a content expression, not a hint of worry
"How are you being so calm about this? Guts might die!" Yang said. Tears started to form in her eyes again. Casca just smiled.
"Because I know Guts isn't going to die, Yang. For the past months I have known this boy. He doesn't give up easily." Casca said as she tried to reassure Yang. It worked to some extent.
"Come on Yang, let's go back home," Taiyang said as he led Yang and Ruby to the exit.
"You really believe that?" Qrow asked Casca once Yang was out of earshot. Casca's smile finally broke, replaced by a desperate frown.
"I have to. I don't want Guts to die."
It was touch and go for a few days. Guts went into heavy surgery frequently. However, as Casca had said, Guts would be fine. He would be stuck in the hospital for a couple of weeks, and would have minimal scars that can be treated, but he would be fine.

Patch Hospital, 1 Week Later
After slipping in and out of consciousness for the past week, Guts was finally awake enough to think about his situation. Specifically, his visions. His head hurts sometimes when he thinks about it, from what he could tell is that they were not dreams. No way, they feel way too real, the vision shows him to be in ancient time with no aura's, dust, transformable weapons or even Grimm.
As far as he knows it showed him at the time as a child in the mercenary and even as a young adult. So far, they show him to be in many battles that he has fought which includes slaying a hundred men, fighting a heavy armored man with an ax and fighting while on horseback. Aside from that he also saw Casca in those visions and Griffith as well, the three of them roughly being the same age. He knows that the visions are incomplete, some things are missing and out of order, the earliest is shown him sparing with Gambino and him as a man walking to a fort alone. That was the furthest it got, probably more happened but that's where it cut off.
Despite making sense in a timeline and environment, He does not know what it means, why are they here? Why does it feel like he experienced it all? Why does it feel like if it happens again, it will be a much worse experience? Even though he was unconscious he felt the pain of every injury he received in the visions as well as that current mindset. However, he has to put all of that aside for now, for he will have visitors coming over.

To say that Ruby was excited would be an understatement. Sure, when she'd first found out about Guts she'd been devastated. She actually thought her friend would die. That changed however when they'd been told that his condition had stabilized. She had spent most of yesterday evening making butter cookies, because, according to her, they're the best get well cookies. Now she, her sister, her father, Casca, and uncle Qrow were going to visit him. She happily skipped ahead of everyone else, basket of cookies in hand. She was the spitting image of the fairy tale character she was based off of. Not that she would know that.
Yang didn't share her sister's excitement. Yeah, she was relieved that Guts would be okay, but it was her fault he had gotten hurt so severely. She let her desire to find her mother control her, and as a result her friend's rib cage had been practically smashed open. She was holding his sword wrapped in a blanket, she could feel the extensive damage under the sheets as she created events on how the fight took place.
"Dad?" Yang asked. She needed to tell someone her hesitation.
"Yes?"
"Do you think Guts ...would want to see me?" Yang asked. Tai nearly rolled his eyes.
"Not this again," Tai complained in exasperation, "Yang listen to me: Guts doesn't hate you, nor does he blame you. I honestly doubt he could ever hate you or Ruby." Tai smiled when he saw his daughter sigh in relief. She was still nervous, but most of her doubt had been erased.
Any further talk was cut short when they entered the hospital. Qrow asked the receptionist where they could find Guts, and then they made their way to his room. Ruby was positively beaming with happiness.
Even though Tai had erased most of her doubt, Yang still felt herself growing more nervous as they drew closer to Guts room. She was actually having second thoughts when they reached the door to his room. Tai seemed to guess what his daughter was feeling, so he placed himself behind her so she couldn't run. Yang gave a halfhearted glare at her father before putting all her attention on the door. Qrow opened it, and inside they saw Guts, who has bandages wrapped around his torso, his forehead and left arm with hospital trousers sitting up on his bed.
All of Yang's doubt was replaced by relief the moment she saw him.
Before anyone could stop her, Yang rushed at Guts and trapped him in a heartfelt hug. Guts winces for a moment, his ribs and organs still on the long road to recovery, before placing a hand around Yang's shoulders, he is unsure and unfamiliar with physical affection, he doesn't know how to respond appropriately. He looked to the others and waved at everyone else with his other hand, adopting a lopsided grin while doing so. Ruby quickly propped her basket on a nearby desk before rushing Guts and hugging him as well.
"Me too!" Ruby cheerfully said. Guts chuckled as he placed his hand on Ruby's head. He looked back at the adults.
"Hey guys," Guts said. "Glad you came. You have no idea how bored I was." Qrow chuckled at the sight before him. Ruby had already let Guts go and was unpacking her basket of goodies. Yang, however, did not show any signs of letting Guts go anytime soon. Black eyed boy looked down at her. His bandages were getting damp around his shoulder.
"Are you crying?" Guts asked, genuinely surprised. he had only seen Ruby cry but not yang or at least she never did when he's around
"I'm really glad you're okay," Yang said, her voice muffled as it was still pressed against Guts shoulder. Guts was actually surprised by her reaction. He didn't know he meant so much to Yang. He didn't know what to say. Luckily, Qrow decided to speak up at that moment.
"I know you're glad that your boyfriend is okay, but maybe you should let the adults greet him as well?" Qrow said with an annoying smirk as he saw Yang almost immediately back away from Guts. She glared at Qrow while trying to wipe the blush off her face. Qrow couldn't resist making one more jab at Yang. "Face is getting a little red squirt, sure you aren't sick?"
Guts hadn't gotten what Qrow was implying. With Guts being raised the way he was made he lacked social norms. The only interaction he had was with people outside of the mercenary was Yang and her family and Casca. He leaned to ruby who was also watching the squabble
"I don't get it. Yeah, I'm a boy and her friend. What's the problem?" he whispered as he watched Yang stick her tongue out at Qrow.
"Beats me. I've been trying to figure it out myself for the last couple of years." Ruby said as she shrugged. To be fair, Ruby wasn't the most knowledgeable source when it came to relationships and innuendos.
"How ya feeling Guts?" Tai asked as he walked up to the hospital bed.
"It still hurts from time to time, but I can't complain." Guts said as he smiled at the blonde man. Tai took a small breath before talking.
"You saved my daughters again. Thank you Guts," Tai said as he rubbed the back of his head. He wasn't very good at showing gratitude when cookies weren't involved. Speaking of cookies...
"Guts, I made you butter cookies." Ruby said as she presented Guts with a plate of the baked treats. Guts grinned as he started eating them.
"Thanks." Guts managed to say through a mouthful of butter cookies. He finally noticed that Casca was with them. He quickly swallowed.
"Hi Casca. Sorry I made you worry," Guts said with a shaky smile. She walked up to him and hugged him. She did it gently as she was mindful of his healing body.
"You always make me worry, Guts. Why would this be any different?" She said as she tried to hold back her own tears. Guts remained silent returning her hug. The next couple hours or so was spent eating cookies and catching up with their hospitalized friend. Eventually visiting hours had ended and the small group had to leave. Qrow stayed a little longer, claiming that he wanted to talk to Guts in private. Qrow closed the door to make sure they had privacy.
"So, what did you wanna talk about?" Guts asked.
"The Grimm attacks. It's weird you know. I was rushing to the cabin however it dawned on me that the girls weren't chased by Grimm, even though they are easy pickings and emitted enough negative emotions. Also, when I got there, I expected to find you overrun by Grimm, but I was surprised to not only find them dead but a large number of them dead " Qrow paused to stare at Guts. Said boy met the stare with equal intensity.
"I've been keeping an eye on you Guts. I know your way more skilled than an eight year old should be. As you could probably guess, I have a couple of questions." Guts tensed. "You might not have known this, but I'm one of the primary protectors of this world, so It's my responsibility to recognize potential threats, and right now kid, you're pretty threatening." Qrow said as he actually glared at Guts. The boy steeled himself ready for what happened next. Qrow was never this scary whenever he was around.
"I think you know what hunters do to threats Guts. To be honest, I like you kid. I don't want to off you, but I will if I have to." Qrow said as he walked up to the edge of Guts bed.
"I'm going to give you one chance to explain yourself. Erase my doubts, Guts ." Qrow said as he stared down at the black eyed boy. Guts could tell that Qrow was trying to intimidate, but his claim was true. He then cleared his thought
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you," Guts finally said.
"Kid, this world is full of secrets and mystery. Try me."
"Would you believe that I was part of a band of mercenaries that reside on Patch, run by Gambino. And not only being raised and trained but partake in Grimm exterminations mission all around Sanus and some of Anima, sometime even soloed an extermination mission? " Guts asked as he gave Qrow a frank look. To his credit, Qrow maintained his composure for the most part.
"How about birth records, it's like you came in thin air " Qrow asked, skepticism written all over his face.
".... For all I know I might as well be, I don't know my birth parent. A member in the band said that I was found as a baby with a burnt corpse embracing me, though not sure if he was telling the truth" Guts stated.
Qrow stayed quiet, trying not to imagine a baby crying while a burning corpse was hugging him. "Ok how about the Grimm. I know they would have gone after the girls, so how did you make them stick with you?
Guts took a deep breath before answering. " I don't know why but ever since I could remember I was always able to draw in nearby Grimm involuntarily. I don't callout for them but any Grimm near me makes a b-line to me. However if I'm in a state of anger for a long period of time, it is like a moth to a flame they all start coming. All I know is that it is not my semblance."
"ok ... I think it best if you explain everything from the start" Qrow said
Guts told everything to Qrow. From his time as a mercenary, from his experience with Gambino, from his betrayal, his torture, the fall out of the band, and the lives he killed, as well as his "gift". Qrow soaked in all the information and pitied the boy, he thought his experience with the bandits was bad but at least they were about community. It was evident that they set the boy to do impossible tasks with the result of him being dead, he also found similarity with Guts and himself the most glaring one was the "misfortune" in attracting or causing trouble inadvertently. He knew that the Guts was not bad; he was dealt with a bad hand.
With that being said it confirms his suspicion on him and the mercenary, but the fact that he was the one to bring it down he did not see that coming. Also it explains why his sister was in the area, from what Guts said the mercenaries and bandits had a lot of bad blood, but was that her only reason?
"Yeah, that's... that rough kid sorry you had to go through that " Qrow said.
"don't be, you had nothing to do with it" Guts said, not wanting to be pitied. in all honesty it was somewhat of a relief to talk to someone.
"Ok so is there anything else that you want to share? I'm satisfied with my findings" Guts thought of telling him about his visions, it seemed unnecessary, but something tells him otherwise.
"Yeah... I uh, ever since the Grimm fight I had a vision where I was killing human soldiers in old armor when I was fighting them, from the time I woke up I had more, I was in battle fighting armies '' he paused and looked at Qrow, who had a neutral expression but seem to be engaged " now I could chalked this to be stress or dream, but it was all too real, I felt the pain when I get injured and I could feel the bloodlust I was in. I... I don't know what to make of it. But it was like I experienced it all"
silence filled the room with a heavy atmosphere. Qrow was thinking on what he just heard, he wanted to tell him not to worry, but could tell this was troubling Guts. he let out a breath "it might of been your brain putting you through situation for you to stay alive, when someone having a near death experience they start thinking of something to strive for to survive"
Guts was not content with this and thought it would have been better if he stayed quiet. Qrow could see that it did nothing to ease the boy's tension, in all honesty he doesn't know what to make of it.
"Alright, you don't seem to be lying when I asked you those questions. However, I'm still going to be keeping an eye on you, got it?" Guts nodded in response. Seeing that he was done here, Qrow left. "Later kid," was all he said as goodbye. Instead of heading to Taiyang's house, Qrow made his way to the nearest bar. It had been a long day, and he needed a drink.

Beacon Academy, 3 hours later
Ozpin put down his scroll with a pensive look on his face. Glynda was sitting in a chair opposite to his desk. Glynda sat patiently. She knew Ozpin would tell her what's on his mind, he just needed time to collect his thoughts.
"Things have just gotten a lot more complicated, Glynda." Ozpin finally said.
"How so?" Glynda asked.
"Remember that boy Guts that peaked my interest a few months ago?" Ozpin paused as he saw Glynda nod. "He has peaked it again with a strange story and troublesome situation." Glynda tilted her head in confusion.
"What do you mean troublesome?"
"This boy is apparently can lure in Grimms inevitably ." Ozpin said with a dry chuckle.
"You can't be serious," Glynda said.
"I wish I were joking Glynda. Qrow said that he was giving off an odd aura. He's going back there tomorrow to get more information." Ozpin said as he rubbed his eyes. "I don't even know what to do about this yet." Ozpin said with a sigh. He usually had a plan for everything, but this was entirely out of left field. He also is interested in these "visions", already having a theory of what they might be, but can't confirm it without further investigation. "I'm going to need to know the boy's potential capabilities."
"You're going to have someone attack him?" Glynda asked, a little worried where Ozpin was going with this.
"No, nothing like that. Not yet at least. His most likely path is to be a hunter, so he's obviously going to attend Signal Academy. We'll just monitor his time there." Ozpin said. "That said, I'll be having Qrow keep an eye on him whenever he's in the area. Based on what he has told me, this boy could either grow to be a powerful ally, or, should he fall into the wrong hands, a very dangerous enemy." Ozpin said with a very serious glare.
"Should we tell the maidens?" Glynda asked.
"We'll tell them to be on guard. I don't want to bring any unnecessary attention to the boy." Ozpin said.
"What should we do in the meantime?" Glynda asked with a hint of concern. There weren't many people who could cause Ozpin this much stress.
"Right now? Nothing. He is too young to be offered acceptance into Beacon. Until he is old enough to attend Beacon, all we can do is keep an eye on him, and keep Ironwood's eye off of him." Ozpin stated. "Who knows what he would do if he thought the boy was a threat." Ozpin muttered.
