Just speaking about him made the chills run down my spine.
"Not so much a thought about him."
"Do you hate him?"
"He has always been difficult."
That was all Drevon said on that matter, and I respected that. I, of course, didn't want to hear about that horrid man.
After a while, we got to a lonely alley. We walked through it to a river with a stone bridge. Up ahead, there was a place that looked like a castle keep, surrounded by trees.
"What is that place?" I asked as we walked the bridge.
"An old friend of mine lives here, who served in my army. Didn't want to stay by my side and decided to come here to have nothing to do with the crown."
That sounds like an interesting person.
At the sound of a splash, I turned, hoping to see a fish breaking the surface for air, but found a person inside.
"Oh my gods! Is she dead?!" I exclaimed, jumping closer to Drevon, who laughed at my outburst.
"I-It's not funny!"
