(Meanwhile, up on a ledge and in a cave, far from the city.)
Mr. Parker: "Before I show you around the Gligar Mansion, you must promise never to reveal its secrets."
(Mr. Parker says.)
Misty: "I won't say anything."
(Misty says.)
Mew: "Me, neither."
(Mew says.)
Brock: "My lips are sealed."
(Brock says.)
Jen: "We promise."
(Jen says.)
Tomo: "Your secret is safe with us."
(Tomo says.)
(Soon, the group is on board the elevator.)
Mr. Parker: "Gligarman is the champion of truth and defender of the weak. That is Gligarman's reason for being."
(Mr. Parker says.)
(Then Latoya says.)
Latoya: "But my father originally invented Gligarman for a different reason."
Misty: "What was that?"
(Misty asks.)
(Latoya then explains.)
Latoya: "Back when papa first opened the store, he wasn't selling very many toys. So he invented Gligarman, made some action figures, and wore a Gligarman costume to advertise them. Gligarman became so popular, that he made new toys and new stories to go with him. Then, at some point, he became Gligarman."
(Then Mr. Parker says.)
Mr. Parker: "One day, I realized that being a superhero was a lot more fulfilling than just being a business man."
Latoya: "Well, maybe, but I wish you'd go back to just selling toys."
(Latoya says.)
(But Mr. Parker says.)
Mr. Parker: "I'll never do that, Latoya! People need a Gligarman to depend on and to look up to."
(Soon, the elevator stops.)
Mr. Parker: "We've arrived at Gligarman's secret laboratory."
(Mr. Parker says.)
(Soon, the doors open to reveal a high tech room, with different machines and monitors.)
Mew: "Wow!"
(Mew says.)
Tomo: "It's cool."
(Tomo says.)
(Soon, they see Gligar flies towards Mr. Parker, and the man allow it to perch on him.)
(Latoya pets Gligar on the head.)
Latoya: "Nice, Gli."
Brock: "Awesome!"
(Brock says.)
Misty: "I've never seen anything like this before!"
(Misty says.)
Tomo: "This place is so cool."
(Tomo says.)
Mew: "You must have the best job in the whole world, Gligarman, because you get to be a superhero, you own a toy store, and you have a really cool Pokemon."
(Mew says, amazed.)
(Then Latoya suggests.)
Latoya: "Maybe you'd like to take the job yourself."
Mr. Parker: "You seem smart, and you like Pokemon. Maybe I could train you for a few years and you can take over when I'm gone."
(Mr. Parker says.)
(Shocked, Mew says.)
Mew: "You mean me replace you?! It's really nice of you to offer, but I already have my heart set on being a Pokemon master."
Mr. Parker: "Okay. It's just that, I don't really have any family to carry on the Gligar tradition."
(Mr. Parker says.)
Latoya: "What are you talking about?"
(Latoya asks.)
Mr. Parker: "You know very well what I'm talking about. I need someone who wants Gligarman to live on after me."
(Mr. Parker says.)
(Then Brock says.)
Brock: "If you'd permit me to be Gligarman two, I'd assume responsibility for the Gligarman legacy, the toy store, and your daughter and you could move to a planned retirement community."
Latoya: "Oh, Brock. Why can't you ever be serious?"
(Latoya asks.)
(The words end up crushing Brock completely.)
Misty: "There's the Brock we know and love."
(Misty sheepishly says,)
Latoya: "Is he okay?"
(Latoya asks.)
Misty: "Oh, don't worry. Brock's used to getting his heart stomped on."
(Misty reassures.)
(Mew turns to Mr. Parker.)
Mew: "I would like to know a little more about Gligar, though."
(Gligar lifts off and lands on the jungle gym.)
Latoya: "Gligar, why do you always have to be so impolite?"
(Latoya asks in a stern tone.)
(Then Mr. Parker says.)
Mr. Parker "Gligar may have a lot to learn in the manners department, but it's a great Pokemon that only wants to fight for the right and help people who are really in trouble."
(Gligar does it and performs the action pose.)
Mr. Parker: "Believe you me, it's an honor to be Gligar's partner."
(Mr. Parker says.)
(Suddenly, a strange sound appears.)
Jen: "What?!"
(Jen asks.)
Mr. Parker: "There must be some kind of trouble! Somebody's blowing the Gligar whistle!"
(Mr. Parker says.)
(Everyone head to the monitor to see someone blowing the whistle and reveal what's going on.)
Mr. Parker: "My store's under attack!"
(Mr. Parker says.)
(Then turns to his Pokemon.)
Mr. Parker: "Gligar, they need us!"
(Then Mr. Parker rushes off.)
Mew: "Let's go help em, guys!"
(Mew says.)
(Pikachu and Eevee agree.)
Misty: "Mew, be careful!"
(Misty calls out.)
(Back at the store, Jessie laughs at her triumph.)
Jessie: "Now let's see if your Gligarman comes to the rescue."
James: "See how you like wearing these silly costumes!"
(James says, and sticks the costume on one of the employees.)
(Meowth does the same.)
(Just then, Gligarman appears.)
Gligarman: "Okay, hold it right there!"
(Team Rocket turn to see Gligarman, Mew, and her friends standing in the light.)
Gligarman: "How dare you ruin this store and terrorize these innocent people! Who are you?!"
(Gligarman says.)
Tomo: "We know em!"
(Tomo says.)
Jen: "That's Team Rocket!"
(Jen says.)
Jessie: "Well, how nice of you to finally show up, Gligarman! And with the twerp in tow, too. You caught us with our guard up last time, but this time we're ready for you!"
(Jessie says.)
(Then calls out.)
Jessie: "Go, Metapod Men!"
(Then James charges in.)
Gligarman: "Gligar, I choose you!"
(Gligarman calls out.)
(Gligar flies into battle and latches right onto James' face.)
(James begins to freak out, trying to get Gligar off.)
Meowth: "We're gonna look like super losers if this keeps up!"
(Meowth says.)
(Then Jessie says.)
Jessie: "I think it's time to bring out the big bug!"
Meowth: "Now you're talking!"
(Meowth says, and dashes off.)
(Then comes back out with a Spinarak robot, shocking her group, including Gligarman.)
(Soon, Meowth says.)
Meowth: "This Mecha-Spinarak ain't no toy!"
(Then, it sprays silk and traps Gligarman, Mew, Pikachu, and Eevee.)
(Jessie laughs.)
Jessie; "Take him outside and reveal his secret!"
(and continues laughing.)
(The Mecha-Spinarak takes the defenseless Gligar and Mew and the others out into the street.)
Mew: "Hey! Let us out of this!"
(Mew shouts.)
(Soon, Meowth makes the Mecha-Spinarak hang them high and dry on the top of the sculpture in the center of town.)
(Jessie chuckles.)
Jessie: "Now we're going to show everyone who you really are."
Mew: "Come on! We just gotta get free!"
(Jessie says in triumph.)
Jessie: "Watch as we finally unmask Gligarman!"
Mew: "We don't have much time!"
(Mew says.)
(Soon, the employees run out of the store.)
(Each of them calls out.)
employees: "Mr. Parker! Hang in there, Mr. Parker! We have faith in you, sir!"
(In his thoughts, Gligarman is surprised.)
Gligarman [in mind]: "They know! They knew I was Gligarman all along."
(The employee calls out.)
employees: "Mr. Parker!"
(Just when all seems lost, another voice appears.)
???: "I'll help you, Gligarman!"
(Up above, on the tip top of the clock tower, there is another costume character.)
Mew: "Who's she?"
(Mew asks.)
Meowth: "Uh oh!"
(Meowth replies.)
Jessie: "What do you want here?! We're busy!"
(Jessie demands.)
(Soon, up above, there is a female who is dressed like Gligarman.)
(The female hero announces.)
Gli-Girl: "Evildoers will never prevail! Not as long as there's... Gli-girl!"
Mew: "Who could she be?"
(Mew asks.)
(Everyone else runs out in shock to see the female hero, Gli-girl make an appearance.)
Misty: "Wow! Now that's what a superhero should look like!"
(Misty says.)
(Brock happily says.)
Brock: "Gli-girl's strong, good and beautiful, just like Latoya."
Tomo: "She looks cool."
(Tomo says.)
Jen: "She's amazing."
(Jen says.)
(Gli-girl says.)
Gli-girl: "Gligar, it's time we taught these villains a lesson!"
(Gligar is confused to see the female hero.)
(Then Gli-girl says.)
Gli-girl: "I need you. Help me."
(Soon enough, Gligar realizes that Gli-girl is really Latoya.)
(With that, Gligar flies to her side, and give each other a hi-five.)
Gli-girl: "First thing's first, Gligar, swoop down there and cut them out of that cocoon!"
(Gli-girl says.)
(With that, Gligar swoops down and cuts the cocoon, freeing Mew, Pikachu, Eevee, and Gligarman.)
Jessie: "Hey!"
(Jessie cries out.)
(Soon, Everyone lands on their feet, but Gligarman lands on the ground.)
Mew: "We may not be superheroes, but you three are super zeroes! Go, Eevee, use Quick attack!"
(Eevee then uses Quick Attack to dash around Team Rocket.)
(Jessie calls out.)
Jessie: "Meowth, hurry! Get it! Stop it!
Meowth: "My legs, is getting scrambled!"
(Meowth cries out.)
(Finally, the Mecha-Spinarak stumbles and is defeated.)
(Jessie shouts.)
Jessie: "James, catch that Eevee!"
(James then leaps down to catch Eevee.)
(But Gli-girl comes down and says.)
Gli-girl: "Gligar, stop them with your Poison Sting attack!"
(Gligar then performs a Poison sting at James, causing him to run away.)
(Jessie then shouts.)
Jessie: "Meowth! Stop that Gligar with your Spinarak spray!"
Meowth: "Okay, I'll try!"
(Meowth says.)
(He manages to get the robot back up, and launches the attack.)
(Then Gli-girl says.)
Gli-girl: "Gligar, use Swift attack, now!"
(Gligar launches Swift Attack, and stops the spray.)
Mew: "Quick, Pikachu, use Thunderbolt attack!"
(Mew calls out.)
(Pikachu then uses his attack on the robot, enough to make it go haywire and attack Jessie and James, causing the two to run away.)
(Jessie screams.)
Jessie: "Turn it off, Meowth!"
James: "We don't want to get stung!"
(James panics.)
(Meowth screams.)
Meowth: "Can't stop! This thing just won't do!"
(And soon, the Mecha-Spinarak explodes and sends Team Rocket blasting off.)
Team Rocket: "Team Rocket's blasting off again!"
(Soon, Mew, Gli-girl, Pikachu, and Eevee elebrate.)
(With that, Mew and Gli-girl say.)
Mew and Gli-girl: "Go Gligar!"
(They, along with Pikachu, Eevee, and Gligar do Gligarman action poses.)
(Everyone cheers and applauds.)
(Back at town square, Gligarman is in tears of joy that his own daughter has taken over the super hero life.)
(He says.)
Gligarman: "That's some daughter I have."
Brock: "Yeah, she sure is. Wonder where she disappeared to. They were here a minute ago."
(Brock says, and looks around.)
(Tomo and Jen look at Brock with dumbfounded looks.)
(Later that evening, Mew and the others plan to head out.)
(Mew asks.)
Mew: "What happened Latoya? What made you want to become Gli-girl?
Latoya: "I don't know, Mew. I don't understand it myself, but when I saw my father in trouble, I automatically grabbed the costume."
(Latoya stays.)
Mr. Parker: "Must be hereditary. She's got bravery in her blood."
(Mr. Parker says.)
Latoya: "And now that there's a new superhero in the family, papa can hang up his cape and retire."
(Latoya says.)
(However, Mr. Parker says differently.)
Mr. Parker: "What do you mean retire? I'm not ready to hang anything up, yet!"
Latoya: "Then what'll I do, papa?"
(Latoya asks.)
(Then Mew has a suggestion.)
Mew: "Hey, why don't the two of you work together?"
Latoya: "A father-daughter superhero team's not a bad idea."
(Latoya says.)
(Then she grabs Gligar and chuckles.)
Latoya: "As long as I get to keep Gligar."
(However, the father and daughter are now arguing over who gets to keep Gligar.)
(Soon, Brock realizes.)
Brock: "Hey, guys! I just figured out that Latoya is secretly Gli-Girl!"
Jen: "You're a little late for that."
(Jen says.)
Mr. Parker: "Now, don't forget, Mew."
(Mr. Parker says.)
Mew: "Yeah?"
(Mew replies.)
Mr. Parker: "If you ever get into any trouble, just blow the Gligar Whistle and I'll be there."
(Mr. Parker says.)
Mew: "You can count on it."
(Mew says.)
(Holding the whistle, Brock says.)
Brock: "That's good to know, sir, but if I get into trouble, how do I blow the whistle and Gli-girl to come instead?"
(But Misty snatches the whistle.)
Misty: "Cool it, Brock, or somebody's gonna blow the whistle on you!"
(Soon, Mew and the others leave and bid farewell to their superhero friends, the store employees and Gligar.)
(Latoya calls out.)
Latoya: "Good luck on your Pokemon journey! See ya again, Brock!"
Brock: "Farewell my, Gli-girl!"
(Brock says in tears.)
(Mew calls out.)
Mew: "You take care, too, Gligar!"
(And so, Mew and her friends say goodbye to their superhero friends and continue on their way to Azalea Town and the Johto League.)
