Chapter 2 - The Discovery of a lifetime

On the Mana One inside the main control center. The crew members were all watching as the Origin descend towards the recorded depths of the Marina.

Jack Morrison, a questionable billionaire who funded this research station was there watching with excitement as the team neared the bottom.

Next to him, stood Dr.Zhang and Mac, who was coordinating with the team and his assistant, Natalie Rushman. Jack had just recently hired her, mainly because she was hot and a redhead.

Natasha examined everything around her. The glasses she was wearing had a built in camera that provided video to Coulson, who was currently watching from a station Shield ship close towards Mana One.

"Alright, Lori everything's all good up here. You are good to go."

"Alright Mac, preparing for insertion." Lori said as Toshi and The Wall started snickering at the word insertion.

Rolling her eyes with a smile on her face she began to enter the Thermocline.

Atlannta's POV.

It's been about a month since I came here and already, the trench was looking more vibrant than before. The seafloor had glowing purple veins that ran for miles and the Vibranium so far, only the plants had changed but the animals were unaffected by it which I was initially worried about.

Creating super creatures was not something I wanted to deal with right now, hence why I still haven't used my monster trident. But I did make one though, it was a replica of Gladiator's Basilisk Trident set out of Vibranium and I also made a sword version of a Cleaver made of Uru. I named my trident Basilisk and my sword Hreggskornir which translates to Storm Cutter. I also got 2 skills from creating those as well. Another aspect of my reward system I guess. And I also got my water portal reward as well as the bonus.

Technological advancements [ Subnautica ]: Allows Host to build technology that of Subnautica, Tools like that habitat builder and fabricators will be able to use any metal substances as well.

Esoteric Runes [ Norse ]: Host can now draw/engrave Runes that utilizes Space, Time, Gravity.

Note: These runes can now be utilized as apart of the binding runes, however using any esoteric rune will result in an massive consumption of mana.

The skills I've gained have helping me tremendously. The Esoteric Runes such as time and space have been helping me create technology and upgrade my home. It was exhausting activating those runes but worth it in the end.

My grotto looked more like a futuristic home now. I also made a work shop, and began making tech that more or less similar to subnautica and Atlantis from DC while also incorporating runes on most of my tools for fortification.

I was brought out of my thoughts when 3 presents entered through the Thermocline.

Mana One.

Getting up, I summoned Basilisk to me. The runes glowing blue along the shaft. I left my work shop and headed towards the entrance to my cave. The entrance didn't change much from when I first came here. The only difference was that the entrance was covered by 2 giant Uru metal shields that open up outwards.

I touched the console in the wall and the doors opened. I jumped in the water and began swimming towards where I could feel the submarine and its crew.

As I swam at a leisurely pace, I wasn't in a rush to stop them. If they spotted any of the Vibranium veins it wouldn't matter. It's not like they were gonna recognize this since I wasn't in marvel. Speaking of, I should make a computer to figure out what universe I'm in, I still haven't completed that quest because I've been working on my home and building my tech. I also remade my suit out of Vibranium with my gauntlets and shoulder pieces out of Uru and engraved runes in them as well. Now I can summon and re summon my armor and it can repair itself as well as helps me with reducing the amount of mana I use.

Binding Runes with Esoteric Runes are broken.

As I got closer I noticed a Meg heading straight for them. I tried to use telepathy to stop it but it just ignored me, then I noticed that it had stripes that were glowing a faint purple.

Vibranium.

Emergency Quest: Save the crew of the origin from the Vibranium Enhanced Meg.

Reward: [ Mastered Cryokinesis ]

I accelerated, I shockwave booming behind me as I appeared next to the Meg as it was just about to bite the sub and punched it hard enough to knock it out. The impact created a shockwave that shook the submarine of course as it bumped into a rock, damaging it.

The Meg however wasn't unconscious as it tried to bite me. I was holding back a lot but that hit should have knocked it out.

I dodged to the side only to get hit by it's tail, sending me flying and colliding into the side of the submarine, luckily I slowed down enough because the force was enough to have me go through it.

What the fuck was I dealing with! Was this ManEater from the fucking game. Because what fucking shark does a side ways tail whip.

Looking back at the sub, I saw the beautiful blonde woman staring back at me, she had nice lips as well.

Her eyes widened in fear and I saw the reflection of the Meg swimming towards them.

Facing the Meg, I swam to intercept and I lunged for it's snout. Grabbing it's snout, I pushed down and slammed the fucker into the sea floor. Turning it on it's side so I could place my feet on sea floor.

As it struggled, I picked it up and began to slam it again and again then I threw it into a wall. It was dazed but quickly recovered and began swimming towards the sub again.

This meg is fucking annoying! I feel like I'm fighting a tempered monster and Monster Hunters.

Summoning Basilisk, I charged the Meg and when I got close I moved to it's left and stab it in it's eye. It bucked and thrashed as blood began clouding around me. Yanking out my trident, I stabbed my fingers into the side of it's head as we approached a small reef with some sharp glowing purple looking coral and I pushed the Meg into them, causing the coral to jam deep into it's dense skin.

Letting go of the Meg began to swim away, leaving a trail of blood in it's wake.

Emergency Quest: Complete.

Reward: [ Mastered Cryokinesis ]

[ Cryokinesis] Host can now use Cryokinesis at the highest level. Creating ice from even the thinnest of water particles and can freeze a person or animals blood with a simple jester. Host can also create ice constructs that are more durable and sharp enough to pierce steel.

I dismissed the notification for now and swam back to check on the Origin crew.

They looked ok, a few cuts but nothing severe. They were looking at me with astonishment and I was pretty sure the people up on the rig were too.

Ignoring them for a moment, I took a look at their sub. It was badly damaged from when I rammed into it and he also looked like there emergency tanks were busted.

A little rover made it's way over towards us and I guess they must have been inspecting the damages.

Swimming towards the back of the sub, I began carefully taking off the damaged tanks. While advanced for regular people, my mind was filled with the advanced technology of Subnautica, so this sub's design was rather primitive compared to the Sea Truck or the Cyclops.

When I was done I de summoned my trident and swam under the Origin, lifted it up and began swimming towards the thermalcline.

It was time to introduce myself and hopefully complete this damn quest.
