Chapter 214 - Chapter 216: The Exploding Bludger

"Look! Harry's heading straight for us!" Ron shouted with barely contained excitement.

"Look, Harry has accelerated and flown past. Did he see the Golden Snitch?" someone in the audience immediately shouted loudly.

Under the rain, everyone couldn't see the situation in the sky clearly, but Harry's acceleration and change of direction still caught quite a few people's attention. For Harry as a Seeker to do this, the most likely situation was that he had spotted the Golden Snitch.

"Damn it!" Seeing this scene, Malfoy's expression immediately changed, and he also accelerated to give chase.

He hadn't seen the Golden Snitch, but since Harry had flown over, if he didn't do something and let Harry easily catch the Golden Snitch, that would be too big a mistake on his part.

Regardless, following Harry in pursuit was always the right thing to do.

Behind Harry, the Bludger still persistently chased him like a ghost, flying at high speed.

"Did Harry really see the Golden Snitch?" Ron looked around, trying to find traces of the Golden Snitch, but found nothing.

"Wait, what is he doing..." Hermione exclaimed, and the people around also showed shocked expressions.

They saw Harry, when approaching the stands, suddenly dive straight down at high speed toward where everyone was sitting.

If he didn't control this well, Harry would become a cannonball and crash heavily into the crowd.

Following Harry's movement, the Bludger chasing behind him also immediately changed direction and accelerated to catch up.

Whoosh!

Just about ten metres above Dudley and the others' heads, Harry suddenly changed direction again, flying horizontally forward.

But at this moment, the Bludger had already plummeted down rapidly, heading straight for the stands due to inertia.

"Ahhhh..." Panicked screams erupted from the crowd as they watched in terror as the black Bludger crashed down like a cannonball.

"Reducto!" A calm, steady voice cut through the chaos, followed by a brilliant beam of light that struck the plummeting Bludger dead centre.

Bang.

With a loud crash, the Bludger exploded directly in mid-air into brilliant fireworks, causing a shock throughout the entire field.

"What happened?" "What's going on?" "What was that just now?"

Many people hadn't reacted to what had just happened. They all thought Harry had spotted the Golden Snitch and chased after it, but the next moment they saw brilliant fireworks explode, echoing throughout the field.

"Wait, was that a Bludger being blown apart?" "Who cast that spell?" "That's against the rules, isn't it!" "It can't really be called against the rules. That Bludger was threatening the lives of spectators."

Some people not far away saw clearly what had happened here and immediately began discussing it.

Madam Hooch on the field also noticed the problem and blew her whistle for a timeout.

Soon, Madam Hooch rode a flying broom up to the stands.

At the same time, players from both Gryffindor and Slytherin also flew over together, surrounding the area above the audience.

"What happened? Who cast that spell?" Madam Hooch asked sternly.

"That Bludger was crashing toward our stands just now. I had to cast the Reductor Curse," Dudley voluntarily stood up and said.

"He's lying through his teeth! This was obviously planned to sabotage our advantage!" Malfoy protested vehemently.

"Madam Hooch, Gryffindor has seriously violated the rules. This match must be declared a loss for them."

"Right, exactly. Using magic to attack a Bludger during a match is very bad behaviour." "That's right, they must be declared the losers."

The Slytherin crowd said indignantly.

"Madam Hooch, Dudley was only protecting himself. There's nothing wrong with that. Similar situations have occurred in Quidditch matches before. This completely follows the rules," Wood stood up to argue reasonably.

Madam Hooch frowned. Technically speaking, there was indeed nothing wrong with Dudley destroying that Bludger, but Dudley had acted too quickly, so quickly it seemed like he had been prepared.

"Harry, why did you fly in this direction just now?" Madam Hooch asked with a sharp gaze.

If this was coordination between Harry and Dudley, then Gryffindor had clearly violated the rules.

But if it was just a coincidence, then the match could continue.

"Madam Hooch, I saw the Golden Snitch over here just now, so I chased after it, and then what just happened occurred," Harry insisted that he had spotted the Golden Snitch.

"No, he's lying! There's no Golden Snitch here at all. I didn't see it," Malfoy immediately protested.

He was certain that chasing over here, he hadn't seen any Golden Snitch. Previously he didn't understand why Harry had flown over, but now he was clear.

Harry was using Dudley's hand to destroy that Bludger.

"If you couldn't see it, that's because you're blind!" Harry retorted without courtesy.

Malfoy was quite angered and immediately wanted to say something more.

"Alright, the match continues," Madam Hooch made her decision.

"But..." Malfoy started to protest.

"No buts. I'm the referee, and I have the final say," Madam Hooch said firmly.

In that situation just now, there was no problem with a wizard attacking a Bludger in self-defence.

"Everyone return to the field. The match continues," Madam Hooch said to everyone.

"We're missing a Bludger," a Slytherin team member reminded.

"Playing with one less Bludger is fine. It's not like we're missing a Quaffle!" Madam Hooch said irritably.

Destroying a Bludger meant they'd have to buy another one later, quite an expense.

The match began again.

This time, without a Bludger constantly chasing Harry, his abilities were perfectly displayed. He locked onto the Golden Snitch on the field at extremely high speed and accelerated toward it.

Malfoy wasn't to be outdone either, closely pursuing behind Harry.

The two staged an exciting chase in the heavy rain. In the end, Harry's superior skills allowed him to successfully catch the Golden Snitch, ending the match before Slytherin could lead Gryffindor by 150 points.

"Harry! Harry!" "Gryffindor!" Screams and cheers echoed throughout the stadium.

This battle was Harry's first appearance in a Quidditch match, and his extremely outstanding performance won the cheers and applause of everyone present.

Seeing the match come to an end, Dudley breathed a slight sigh of relief.

Fortunately, no more out-of-control Bludgers appeared afterward, or Dudley would have had difficulty dealing with it.

"Was that the house-elf's doing? Don't let me catch you!" Dudley said with obvious menace.

Intercepting letters, blocking Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, delivering little notes, and now controlling Bludgers to attack. These small actions weren't deadly, but they were extremely disgusting and persistent.
