We were headed to the hall to speak to the ringleaders and find out what was going on with Clementine and why she was not back yet.
In the middle of it, we were stopped when their head squad appeared in front of us. They instantly shook their hands toward us, letting us know that they had no luck finding out about Clementine either.
"So she's just gone?" Mira questioned, her voice unsteady.
I felt a fire inside me that I had to keep under control. There were many reasons for it. One was that I did not know if I would ever have a chance with Clementine, the way Troy and Ian were always one step ahead of the others, claiming her.
It felt like I would never get to be with her. Because of that, I had to make sure she knew that I was waiting for her. But for that to happen, she needed to come back, and if she did not, I was willing to jump over the fence to be with her.
Even if I had to invade the train and operate it myself, I would do it.
