Yun Jin wanted to keep running her simulations. But her soul power had already reached its limit, and the images shattered. She was forced to wake. Her face immediately twisted into a grim expression.
The worst-case scenario had come true.
Just as she feared, the five Immortal Emperors of Sky City weren't exactly good people. Later, they fought a fierce battle, seemingly over something important.
The threads in Yun Jin's mind started to become clear.
The five Immortal Emperors were divided into two camps.
When Zi Mo Xiāndì told her about it, she'd probably used a bit of exaggeration.
The demon they supposedly suppressed had indeed done some harmful things in the Immortal Realm, but that wasn't really the reason they attacked him.
In the scenes Yun Jin observed, they didn't hesitate to seize the Luck of countless beings for themselves. They never considered what would happen to those who were stripped of it. People like that wouldn't sacrifice themselves to suppress a demon for the sake of other immortals.
Their actions could only mean one thing. Suppressing the demon was profitable. And a huge profit at that.
Otherwise, the four Immortal Emperors wouldn't have paid such a high price, spending countless years to remain statues just to suppress him.
Yun Jin now suspected they were fighting over something both sides considered crucial.
The demon was too strong, so the four had to join forces to keep him in check.
Together, they barely managed to suppress him.
But even in these thousand years, the demon hadn't been idle. He still managed to modify ferocious beasts in secret, which proved he wasn't completely trapped.
Naturally, the four Immortal Emperors hadn't been idle either. They scattered the four Immortal Artifacts into the mortal world, using them to draw the Luck of the small world's beings, gaining power and securing victory.
Both sides were scheming, playing their games. Whether it was the demon's side or the four Immortal Emperors, none were good.
No matter who won, this small world was in for a catastrophe.
Yun Jin's expression turned ice-cold.
Soon, the four major cities in Sky City would merge. Then the suppressed demon would make a move against her.
Her original plan was to strike back with the force of the Laws, ideally severely wounding him. But now, her thoughts shifted. She had to maintain the balance between the two forces.
Right now, the four Immortal Emperors and the demon were in a precarious standoff. If she seriously injured the demon, that balance would shatter instantly.
And once the four Immortal Emperors gained the upper hand, who knew what they might do?
The best strategy was to let the balance hold.
"The five Immortal Emperors…" Yun Jin's eyes flickered with cold light.
Even in the Immortal Realm, Immortal Emperor-level beings were top-tier.
In this small world, they were virtually a different dimension.
Even if their full strength was restricted here, they still controlled the ultimate codices and the Laws of the Primordial Force. Even if their spiritual power matched the top mortals, once unleashed, no one here could resist.
The five Immortal Emperors were untouchable for now.
Even with mastery over the Five Elements Primordial Force, she wouldn't stand a chance.
These veteran Immortal Emperors probably mastered multiple Primordial Forces, so she wasn't necessarily a match.
Yun Jin slowly stood.
The only strategy now was to stabilize them.
First, she'd make Sky City return to the void. When it reappeared five years later, she'd have her chance.
Her cultivation so far hadn't even spanned five years of small world time. Another five years, and she'd be ready.
Immortal Emperors? Maybe not unbeatable.
"Sect Master Yun, this Immortal Artifact… is something wrong with it?" Xuan Kong asked cautiously.
Yun Jin smiled. "It's an Immortal Artifact. What could go wrong? You've already decided to leave Qingxiao, so it won't affect you anymore."
Xuan Kong's expression brightened. "That's true."
He didn't cling to the Sect Master's authority or the power of the Immortal Artifact at all.
Yun Jin nodded silently.
Xuan Kong had grown up in constant schemes, which had forged an unbreakable Dao-heart. Even if he lost his cultivation, he could rebuild it as long as his heart remained.
Yun Jin handed him a talisman. "Use this, and you can travel to Wushuang Sect. Someone will guide you to the sect test."
Xuan Kong treasured it and said, "I'll need two or three more days to wrap things up in Qingxiao, then I'll head to Wushuang Sect for the test."
Yun Jin nodded. "Arrange it yourself."
He bowed respectfully.
Yun Jin notified Hong Ye, and they chose to teleport directly back to Wushuang Sect.
They abandoned the tasks in Qingxiao, which automatically failed.
Yun Jin didn't want anyone knowing she went to Qingxiao or inspected the Immortal Artifact.
Luckily, they were just minor tasks, so giving them up didn't matter much.
She found a secluded room in the Celestial Divine Palace and began thinking carefully.
With the Immortal Artifact in Qingxiao, she felt that Zi Mo Xiāndì could see her.
Her sea of consciousness had the Yin Yang Codex guarding it, so Zi Mo couldn't penetrate. But others didn't have this, and if Xuan Kong or anyone else knew the truth, Zi Mo might detect them immediately.
So.
She couldn't tell anyone about the Immortal Artifact for now.
Not Xuan Kong.
Not the masters.
Not anyone.
At least, not until Sky City returned to the void.
When that happened, the four Immortal Emperors' control over the four Holy Lands would weaken. She couldn't speak openly, but she could hint.
At least, she needed to reduce their reliance on the Immortal Artifacts. If the artifacts were too deeply entwined to separate from the Holy Lands, there was still one last option.
Yun Jin's eyes glinted coldly.
Kill the four Immortal Emperors before they reclaim the artifacts. Without masters, the Immortal Artifacts would remain in the mortal world permanently.
It was a solid plan. But every plan required strength to back it up.
She was powerful now, but against these five Immortal Emperors, she wasn't enough.
Then… she'd lie low.
When the main cities merged in a few months, she'd have to put on a show, letting the two sides maintain the balance.
If she could buy just five more years, she could change everything.

So, I Became a Fairy And Lived Forever In The Fairy World is already rewritten and up on my AO3 account plus I changed the webnovel version. Now it's The Cube Queen's Apocalypse Feast's turn, it'll get the same treatment, rewritten and published on AO3 and on Webnovel.
After that, I might work on The Villainess Refuses to Repent or Troublemaker's Guide to Immortality, then I'll move on to Feng Ling's novels like Stealing Luck and The Heir of Chaos. Basically, every novel I've released on Webnovel that I later post on AO3 will get the same process. I'll rewrite, expand, and smooth everything out, but I won't touch the Webnovel version. That means each story will eventually have two versions, the polished one with my current style and the original one where you can see my whole journey as a translator and how my style slowly turned into what it is now.
If you want to follow my projects, I really recommend subscribing to my AO3 profile under the name Rikhi. For the latest announcements and updates, you can also join my Discord server at discord.gg/75sprU6DdD
