The thought flashed briefly in Yun Jin's mind, but she did not immediately study the refining manuals. Guided by Yuan Yuan and the little girl, she moved on to the next area.
"This is the Pill Storage Room. Here are some pills that the Old Master collected while traveling through three thousand small worlds. Their ranks are not necessarily high. Often, the Old Master picked them up simply because they were interesting," Yuan Yuan explained.
"The Pill Storage Room currently has only a small section unlocked. To open more areas, you must first go to the Immortal Realm."
"This is the Herb Garden. The Old Master brought here some rare and peculiar spirit plants. Again, the area is limited."
"The Material Repository. Here are materials the Old Master found intriguing."
"The Treasure Pavilion. It contains some magical treasures that the Old Master no longer needed. Only the first layer can be opened now, but even treasures on this layer are considerable. You may handle them freely."
Yun Jin examined everything, her expression subtly shifting. Her memories slowly unsealed, and the experiences she had in various small worlds during her past life gradually became vaguely clear.
By ordinary standards, she already had an impressively broad knowledge. Yet the items collected by the Celestial Divine Palace's owner included many rare things she had never heard of.
"Finally, the core of the entire Celestial Divine Palace lies here: the Hall of Legacy."
She opened the hall doors.
Floating in the air were numerous jade slips. Some shone brightly, ready to be touched at any moment. Others were dim, indicating that Yun Jin's current strength could not yet probe them.
"These are manuals the Old Master collected from small worlds. There aren't many, since the Old Master's standards were high. Only those he found uniquely valuable were placed here in the Hall of Legacy. You may look at them at will, but do not spend too much time on them," Yuan Yuan advised.
Yun Jin's eyes brightened as she looked. She'd been looking for cultivation methods to help her progress along the Five Elements Primordial Forces.. The Hall of Legacy did not hold an overwhelming number of manuals, but there were still over a thousand, and the quality far surpassed those she had previously exchanged. With further refinement, these manuals could easily form a cultivation library surpassing the Four Great Holy Lands.
This was the foundation of the future Wushuang Sect.
At the same time, her mastery of the Five Elements could reach a whole new level.
"I know Master's cultivating the Five Elements, but you should focus on the Primordial Yin-Yang instead," Yuan Yuan reminded her. "That's the true path of a supreme powerhouse."
"It's fine. I'm still young, I can work on both," Yun Jin chuckled. She reached out and touched each manual, letting the system scan and record them, then arranged for the system to improve them sequentially.
After scanning the manuals, Yun Jin asked, "There don't seem to be any Heaven-rank or Saint-rank manuals here."
The robot pressed a control panel. The previously visible manuals vanished.
Twenty new manuals floated silently into view.
"These are the Heaven-rank manuals collected by the Old Master."
Another press revealed five more manuals.
"These are the Saint-rank manuals."
Excellent.
Yun Jin's eyes shone with excitement. Everything here was now hers. She added these manuals into the system as well. With these manuals, she'd be able to advance the remaining three branches of the Five Elements Primordial Forces with ease.
Once she mastered all five, she could finally deal with the outer-realm Demon God clan.
"These were collected casually by the Old Master and are not part of his true legacy," Yuan Yuan explained, pressing the final button.
The manuals disappeared.
In front of Yun Jin now remained only two ancient doors.
One bore the characters for Reincarnation.
The other bore the characters for Yin-Yang.
"The Primordial Reincarnation and the Primordial Yin-Yang," Yuan Yuan explained softly. "Before the old master died, he separated his comprehension of them and sealed them here.
These two secret chambers each contain one Primordial Force. Whether you can comprehend them, and to what degree, depends on your own abilities."
Yun Jin clicked her tongue in admiration.
These were two first-grade Primordial Forces.
From what Yuan Yuan said earlier, the Primordial Reincarnation Force was a complete one.
The Primordial Yin-Yang, on the other hand, had never been fully mastered even by the palace's previous master. It was a half-finished path.
"According to the Old Master, you may only choose one of these doors at the start. Each chamber contains the Old Master's legacy. Only after fully absorbing one may the other door be opened," Yuan Yuan explained.
The Primordial Yin-Yang.
The Primordial Reincarnation.
Only one could be chosen.
Yun Jin raised an eyebrow.
Between the two, the Reincarnation path was complete. With the system's assistance, she could follow a step-by-step path to reach the level of the Celestial Divine Palace's owner, becoming a controller of the Primordial Reincarnation.
The Primordial Yin-Yang was only half-finished.
To reach its end, her effort would need to exceed that of the Primordial Reincarnation many times over.
Yet, once mastered, she could become a top-tier powerhouse in the God Realm, rivaling the Five Origin Master.
Was there even a question?
Yun Jin opened the door to the Yin-Yang.
The massive stone chamber within revealed walls carved with various reliefs. At first, she could grasp the meaning of the early carvings. But the deeper she went, the more profound they became. The final carvings made her shiver merely to glance at them.
Though she could not yet control the Primordial Yin-Yang, the Celestial Divine Palace's master had traversed far beyond her current level. In an instant, an endless wave of insight surged into her mind, tempting her to begin cultivation immediately.
Yet she resisted.
Enlightenment was not achieved overnight. Progress could easily take decades or centuries. Currently, she did not have the time. Back at Wushuang Sect, she could use fifty years of allotted cultivation time. Another fifty years might bring her to the peak of the second level of the Yin-Yang Codex.
With immense willpower, Yun Jin suppressed the urge to cultivate immediately and quickly withdrew.
Yuan Yuan and the little girl watched in surprise.
"Master, you will not cultivate immediately?" Yuan Yuan asked.
Yun Jin shook her head. "Cultivation takes too long, so I can't start it yet"
If she secluded herself here, by the time she emerged, the outer-realm Demon Sovereign clan would likely have destroyed most of the small worlds.
"What could be more important than cultivation?" the little girl asked anxiously. "We still need to avenge the Old Master."
Yun Jin glanced at her, unwavering. "Haste makes waste. Blindly secluding oneself may not be effective."
"But…" the little girl hesitated.
Yun Jin smiled. "Since we have received the Old Master's favor, I will certainly avenge him. But I have my own rhythm and plan. Do you understand?
If you want a vengeance machine you can manipulate at will, I cannot provide that. If you are dissatisfied, we can dissolve the contract, and I will return everything gained in the Celestial Divine Palace." She spoke with an easy smile, but her words carried quiet certainty.
The girl's heart skipped a beat. She could feel it—Yun Jin meant every word. After seeing the treasures left by the Old Master, Yun Jin could still casually speak of dissolving the contract?
"Opportunities are rare, but freedom is rarer," Yun Jin said calmly. If inheriting this palace meant she'd become nothing more than a cultivation machine, then she'd rather give it up.
For a long moment, there was only silence.
Then Yuan Yuan's mechanical voice broke it. "You're our Master. Everything here naturally belongs to you, and your word is law."
The little girl bit her lip, then finally nodded as well.
