We cut to the cafeteria where Enots starts explaining
"Well now that you guys are my friends I will let you in a little secret" he said while pulling out a tournament flyer "There will be a tournament which will be held really soon"
"A tournament?" Ragna quickly paid attention to it
"Yeah a tourney that is held for class 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5" Enots said as he showed them the arena
"Wait how is it fair for a class 5 to compete in the class 1" Alya said as she got up to see the schematic
"No no no! I mean there will be 5 tournaments held for their respective class" he replied as he showed them the five separate brackets
"Why are you telling us this?" Cinister asked as he stood up to Enots
"Because the rewards are really good" he quickly tried to move the attention to the prizes
"For the tournament 1 and 2 - a spell scroll, for the 3rd and 4th - The Blessing of Breathing and a legendary scroll and for the 5th - Well it doesn't matter"
"Wait, what's the Blessing of Breathing?" Cinister asked
"Well you remember Benny, right?" Enots followed up with a question towards Cinister
"Yeah I remember" Cinister proudly recalls "Because the Tower is out of the stratosphere he is the guardian who pumps air in the tower"
"Correct, he's really good but you don't think he can do it forever? He stops pumping air exactly on this floor" he explained "That's why when you graduate you get a Blessing of Breathing but if you are good enough to be the winner in the tournament from 3 to 5 you get one and can skip to the next floor"
"Wait, I thought the Blessing Stones were unique. How do you guys have more?" Alya asked
"Well a certain "Allen" duplicated it with Blessing of Copy since the Academy traded" Enots said
"So he can just duplicate any Blessing Stone. How is that fair?" Ragna said as he looked at his spellbook "I don't even got one"
"Well it's not important since the stones don't stack" Enots voiced
"Enots." Cinister called out his name "I got a question"

"Well that's the bell gotta return to class" Enots said as he quickly left the cafeteria
"Shit we're gonna be late come on" Cinister said as he used [Jetburst] to get a head start
We cut to a bit further in Ragna's class where he is dreaming
"Man the [Sword of Devotion] would be so cool to have" Ragna thought to himself
"RAGNA!!" Draen screamed at him
"Huh!" Ragna immediately stood up from his desk
"Sleeping in class is a punishable offence" Draen spoke with a clear tone "I wouldn't mind if you were a great swordsman but you're far from it"
"I am a great swordsman" Ragna rejected Draen's claim
"That's why you are only capable of swinging that sword, huh?" The teacher shot back
"That's correct!" Ragna didn't back down
"No you dumb piece of sh*t" Draen said to him "Real swordsmen have techniques while you just swing your sword around like a dumb*ss"
"Techniques?" Ragna questioned himself as he looked up at the ceiling
"Yeah techniques unlike the spells your using the techniques are just the sword moving at it's peak" Draen explained
"How do I learn techniques?" Ragna asked with a bit of curiosity
"Well that you will have to figure that on your own but for now I need to tell you about the tournament" Draen said
The teacher basically summarized what Enots said at the lunch table but he also mentioned
"Because we want the tournament to be the best of the best, first you all will participate in a game chosen randomly by Cassie(Barrier girl)!" Draen explained
After a long day the Fangra went back to their dorms.
Well almost all of the crew went to bed
"Slash 995!" Ragna yelled as he sliced the tree "This replacement sword sucks but I need to learn a technique because I know Cinister will probably be one of my opponents so I have to prepare"
"996!" he sliced the tree in two making it fall to the ground
"I will figure it out!" Ragna thought to himself
On floor 36 it's all dark and the only way to move around it is by having your other senses be on high alert but a powerful sword user made his way without stopping a single time
"So this is where you have been sister" Allen lights up a small room with his ignivar magic and is carrying a funny looking backpack on his back
"Yeah I like this place reminds me of when you were gone" Eulb said as she sat on the floor
"Let's get to the more important matter" Allen spoke gently as he pointed his sword against her throat
"Still using violence to solve your problems" she said as she got up from the floor
"I just want to know why killing other people is a breeze but the second I start thinking about killing you my mind immediately rejects the idea" Allen explained his motive
"I told you as long as I am alive you will never know what my curse is" Euld stood her ground
"Oh well it has been a while but do you remember my first blessing?" Allen smirked
"How could I forget?" she asked "The Blessing of Exchange. The most powerful blessing letting the user sacrifice anything he wants to get a new blessing and the more intense the sacrifice the better the ability"
"Correct!" Allen said as he took out a dead body from the infinite backpack item"You can gatekeep your curse all you want but that just means that more people will die"
Allen used his Exchange to get the Blessing of Standing on Water
"I know one day I will get the Blessing of Curses and once I do I will kill you for good" Allen said as he started leaving for the Academy
"Don't you worry I will make something to defeat you!" Eulb shouts
"Cute." Allen replied "The only person who could have defeated me was Slax Brimstone but that old fool let me live"
TOWER OF SCALING: ADDITIONAL FLOOR
Here is some extra information about how nexuses work
Nexus is a phenomenon which awakened in humans when the Towers appeared. The Nexus powers come from the stomach because that's where most of the energy lies in the human body. But most humans aren't able to draw out these powers from within the stomach so they use specific weapons that act like magnets and are forged in the Tower but some weapons are better suited for each individual that's why in the first chapter there is an aqualith potion that decides the weapon for you. Meaning the only way to use Nexus is through your weapon. There are only two exceptions to this rule:
One of them is Cinister being whose family taught themself over years to be able to use Nexus without weapons.
The second exception is when a user is in a life-threatening situation where all senses are sent into overdrive and remove the need for a weapon for the use of a nexus for a short amount of time.
The nexus uses the same type of energy of the body that is used for example walking and running. The only difference is that different humans have different natures of internal energy . First when a person acquires their nexus the energy needed for its use is going to be far larger than the energy a veteran user is going to need to use theirs as the body trains the nexus the more it is used similar to the muscles.
