After a long day of training, the king calls upon the Fagra. As they made their way to the castle, the king said, "So I have prepared 3 rewards for protecting me, and I want you to use them because I think that they will help in the upcoming battle."
"Where are they?" Cinister asked.
"Here are the rewards," the king said as he brought out 3 different scrolls.
[The Combination Scroll] - merges two spells and gives them a new effect on top of the existing ones.
[The Mastery Scroll] - levels up one move to its next mastery.
[An Epic Scroll] - gives the user an epic spell.
"So choose one to your desire," the king said.
"What do you want?" Cinister says to Ragna.
"Well lowkey I want that mastery scroll because Bubble needs a buff," Ragna responds.
"Alya, what about you?" Cinister says.
"Well, I don't have any good spells, so I'm going to take the Epic Scroll," Alya replies.
Then Cinister passes out the different scrolls and they use their scrolls.
Ragna uses it on Bubble - [Bubble] Mastery 2 - every parry now launches a counterattack that will deal twice the damage.
Alya uses the scroll and gets [Sneaky Wind] - in this state she becomes invisible and she can pass through stuff except the ground and floor.
"I wonder which two spells to combine," Cinister asks.
"Maybe [Fire Gun] and [Ashen Veil]," Ragna suggests.
"Nah, that probably won't work as I want," Cinister said. "I'll think about it later."
After they thank the king, they went to training.
"Try to hit me with a 200% [Fire Gun]," Ragna said.
"Okay, let's see if you can parry this," Cinister said as he winds up a 200% [Fire Gun] at Ragna, but he parries and sends it to a mountain, destroying half of it.
"Holy— that parry packs a serious punch," Cinister says, shocked.
"Yeah, I agree." A mysterious man appears behind Ragna and another one is behind Cinister.
"Who are you and why are you here?" Cinister asks.
"A lot of questions, you know." The mysterious guy reveals his face and cuts off Cinister's arm with an axe.
"Cinister, are you okay?!" Ragna said while he's blocking the other guy.
Cinister backs up to Ragna's back and he uses his [Ashen Veil] to heal himself, buff Ragna, and create a smokescreen.
"Yeah, I'm fine, but why are they here?" Cinister said.
"They are probably here to invade the king," Ragna says.
Then Ragna starts by using [Aqua Blade], but the invader just stays still, and when the first blade strikes, Ragna feels pain in that same area.
"What the?" Ragna said.
"Yup, any damage inflicted on me is redirected to my opponent," he says.
As he starts winning against Ragna.
With Cinister-
Then Cinister uses [Jet Burst] to hit one of the invaders and strikes his face.
"You're good," the invader says as he winds up his axe and four walls start falling on Cinister.
[Double Fire Ring] Mastery 2. Two blue rings appear behind Cinister and they burn the walls instantly.
But... the enemy isn't present.
"Sh*t, maybe he left," Cinister said. "No, he's going for Ragna."
As he turns around, the invader appears behind him.
"Wrong," he says as he slices Cinister's legs and arms.
"One down, now for the other one." the invader says "Huh!?"
As the smoke came down, Ragna was standing over the invader.
"How did you beat him?" he asks.
"Easy. My counterattack on Bubble can't miss," Ragna says. "But you still haven't finished your battle."
"What do you mean by tha-" then he feels a hand on his shoulder and gets burned to a crisp.
"I'm so glad I put that [Ashen Veil] on when we started training," Cinister said.
"Its healing property is actually insane," Ragna said.
"Yup, but now tie the invader. We need to get information from them," Cinister said.
"Yeah, good idea," Ragna says as he ties up the criminal.
As they went to the king, they gave the invader to him.
The king is shocked. "Is that a Guardian?"
"Maybe? He was really strong. If my [Ashen Veil] wasn't up, then we would have lost," Cinister said.
"Me losing? No way," Ragna said.
"Shut up," Cinister snapped back.
"So what should we do?" the king said.
"I'm predicting that they wanted to see how hard it would be to invade. That's why they only sent two people," Cinister explained. "So we should expect an attack in the following 3 days."
"Wait, how can you be sure?" Ragna said.
"Well, they won't attack now because we defeated two of their guys, and they won't attack later because they don't want us to get stronger."
"So should I stay and watch?" Alya appears out of nowhere.
"Geez, you need to stop doing that, but yes, you should," Cinister said.
"Ok you are dismissed" Said the king
Ragna and Cinister return to the training ground.
"Hey Ragna, I know which spells I'm combining," Cinister said.
"Lemme guess, [Fire Ring] and [Jet Burst]," he says.
"Nah, you aren't even close," Cinister said as he started combining [Ashen Veil] and [Heatwave].
"Oh, that is very smart," Ragna said.
[Molten Prison] - Makes a 50 km prison which no one is allowed to leaave. Everyone considered an enemy by the user starts burning(it's a sure hit effect) from the feet to the head. If it reaches the head, they die. The only way to reset the fire is to hit the user. If you're considered an ally by the user, you get infinite healing and a buff to all of your senses and Nexus.

"Ok, I'm going to use it," Cinister said.
[Molten Prison] - bars of magma start forming around me and they go 50 km in all directions.
And Ragna starts burning.
"I got this," Ragna says as he starts spamming [Bubble].
"There's no actual way you're parrying the sure-hit effect," Cinister says in disappointment.
"Nah, I'd parry," Ragna says.
