Several more minutes would pass and Yuril would pick up on the occasional arguing from the two of them before eventually they came out with the breakfasts that they had prepared.
Yuril was forced to eat both breakfasts, not actively forced too but he did not want to offend either of the young women in any way. May would never cook for him ever again if he ate Syr's food and not hers and on the opposite hand Syr would be upset with him all day long if he refused to eat her food as well. So he was stuck in between a rock and a hard place.
He ate Syr's food first, firstly because she would probably appreciate it to have her food eaten first instead of May. The second reason was Yuril knew that based on appearance alone May's food would be more delectable and he wanted to save the best for last to wash out the burnt taste of the "food" that Syr had cooked for him.
Her pancakes were just as May had said they were, burnt to a crisp and darker than the night sky. They were far more difficult to cut than what they should have been, but with enough elbow grease and a sharp steak knife he was able to see through the hard outer shell and into the food. He ate the pancakes as quickly as possible with as big of bites as he could fit into his mouth to cut down on the time he had to "enjoy" the food and how much of it he would have to taste. Eventually he finished the small stack and moved onto May's food which had been waiting for him.
May's food in sharp comparison to the waitress's was delicious, the eggs had been cooked to perfection where they were not overbooked but at the same time when he cut into them they oozed the yellow yolk beautifully. Cutting into the dish was far easier than the pancakes was, he barely had to apply any pressure to the knife. The oatmeal that she had prepared on the side was just as good as the frittata, it was the perfect temperature and once he had finished the bowl it left him wanting more. The freshly squeezed orange juice that she had prepared for him was the icing on top of the cake and wrapped up the delicious meal in a tight little bow.
Once he had finished the two meals however he was not given much of a chance to recover as both began to question him on who was better and why, he spent a few minutes complimenting each of their dishes and trying to sound equally enthusiastic for each. To avoid hurting their feelings he simply called it a draw and offered to have them continue their "competition" another time with a lunch and supper section. Though calling it a competition felt rather unfair to May, it was more of a blowout. But Yuril did not want to upset Syr with such a confession so he just gave her some of his smaller criticism so try and get her to improve even slightly.
He thanked both of them for the breakfast and they took away the empty plates and gave him a few minutes to settle and mellow out before the two left for the day. After a few minutes of peace and quiet Syr returned and offered him a hand to get up from his seat, he took her extended hand with his own and she helped to pull him up from his bench seat.
They walked back through the doorway and Yuril was able to catch a slight glimpse of what appeared to be a war that went down in the kitchen. There was a massive stack of pots and pans that May was already busy cleaning, she was standing on an overturned bucket to be able to reach into the sink. When she heard the two enter she turned her head around and shot a slight glare at Syr who just smiled and waved goodbye to the small cat Chef. Yuril waved goodbye as well and May waved back for a moment before returning to washing the dishes.
Once they entered the main room he found it surprisingly calm, normally the chairs that were stacked on the tables would have already been pulled down and set up for the lunch and dinner service. Typically the waitresses would be racing around preparing food, cleaning and setting out dishes for customers. Instead the chairs were still flipped upside down on the tables and the room was desolate, it felt strangely ominous to the white haired boy. Syr quickly ran upstairs to grab her small coin pouch, only a few minutes later she returned with a bright smile on her face and they started their journey for the day.
It took him a moment to get down the first few stone steps that were right outside the front door of the Hostess, they were steeper than the regular wooden stairs inside the pub so it took him longer than usual to get down the steps. Once the two had reached the bottom Syr mushed her right side up against his left and locked her arms around his left arm and rested her head on his shoulder happily saying that she would help him to walk along through the streets.
While it did bring a blush to Yuril's cheeks that Syr was so close and "touchy" with him in public, it was better than walking along at a painfully slow rate or walking with a cane like his grandfather sometimes did when they went on hikes in the wilderness. The two had been far closer to each other in a more embarrassing scene, but that was always in the attic and behind closed doors when no one was around or could see them so it was not the worst. Being in public with the waitress however was more nerve racking, it kept him on a bit of an edge and he could not decide if that was a positive or a negative.
The streets of Orario were quite busy, while Orario was always busy there were some days where the streets were flooded with citizens and adventurers to the point that on some roads people would be packed up against each other shoulder to shoulder. Some of the smaller shops were closed for the day while most of the larger operations that were run by various familia's remained open to the public. Dozens of shop vendors would set up their stands as well in small squares and open areas around the city to make temporary shopping centers. Syr dragged him to several of the shopping centers and helped to show him around the city. While he tried to remain invested it was rather difficult as each stand one after another was just filled with jewelry, small trinkets and knick knack items. Though he did just enjoy spending some quality time with the waitress however, they made light chatter in between the stands that she stopped at that caught her eye.
When they had finished looking around the few small shopping vendor areas she toured him around the city and showed him several more places that were actually quite interesting. She showed him some other restaurants and bars that were good to eat out at occasionally. Though Syr always made sure to make it clear that they were nowhere near the level that the Hostess of Fertility was on, which was not too surprising coming from a dedicated employee of the pub.
She showed him some of the places that the Hostess went to buy their fresh veggies and meats which were actually quite nice to see in person, he even got to meet one of the vendors that supplied the fish for the pub. The vendor seemed to be rather friendly with Syr, but Yuril got the impression from just their short conversation that her politeness did not extend to every member of the Hostess staff. Syr explained to him once they walked away from the stand that after a particular "incident" a certain pair of Cat People were banned from picking up orders of fish from the vendor. So Syr, Ryuu or Lulone were always the ones that had to go and pick up the weekly shipments.
As they continued to walk through the streets of the Labyrinth City it became harder and harder for Yuril to ignore the eyes of people staring at the two, not particularly violent or glares of malintent but stares nonetheless. Syr had made several comments about how they really did look like a couple out on a date and Yuril just smiled his head and nodded along with her assessment to make things easier on himself.
Yuril remained unmoved in his mind however, strongly believing that he did not deserve someone as good as the waitress and she would just be better off focusing her attention on someone else that was more deserving of her. But something in the back of Yuril's head told him that it would not be that easy and she would not just throw her hands up and walk away from him after everything that had happened. So until she either moved on and found someone else to cling onto or he got strong enough to be deserving enough of someone like Syr he would stick by her side until that time.
"Yuril look! Doesn't that shop look pretty?" Syr half shouted out at him which sapped him out of his inner thoughts and brought him back to the real world. He shook his head side to side for a moment before his eyes adjusted and took in the building in front of the two. The building was two stories tall and Yuril noted that while it was nowhere near the size of some of the other buildings he had seen in the city, like the Guild, The building was still fairly sized and quite wealthy based off of the outer appearance. On the bottom floor across the entire front of the shop there were glass planes, save for the set of white double doors with golden trim that led into the building. In the glass were shelves of various items that mostly consisted of bottles holding numerous kinds of potions. The entire building seemed to be made of white marble with decorative engravings all over the building along the edges and corners. There were several marble statues placed on top of the pillars that were centered in between each window and went upwards to the flat roof.
Hanging just above the doorway by a set of golden chains that made soft metallic sounds in the light wind was a large wooden sign. The sign was in the shape of a diamond and was the elaborate emblem of the familia that owned and operated the building, just under the emblem there was the name "Dian Cecht" in big bold letters. Syr had nearly pressed her face up against the glass as she gazed at the various potions and items that shined brightly as if they were gems in the rough.
"Come on Yuril, let's go inside and look around!" Syr said happily as she started to pull him along towards the set of doors, just as she was pulling him away he caught the price tags on some of the items in the shop's windows. If he was given a moment to really allow the prices to be processed in his head then he would have likely fallen over and had either a stroke or heart attack. The few price tags that he did see were all in the tens of thousands of valis, why Syr thought that they could reasonably afford anything in the store without paying an arm and a leg was beyond him.
When they first entered the store they were greeted with a young short blonde haired woman with a small serviceable smile on her face. She had light green eyes and pointy ears that poked out from her golden locks. She performed a small bow to the two and once she raised herself back upright held a clipboard slightly in front of her and tapped her pencil against the edge. "Greetings, may I ask what your business is here today? Do you have an appointment here to see someone in the medical wing, seeking medical treatment or just hoping to look around the store? Additionally if this is your first time here?" the woman softly asked in a harmonic tone.
Yuril opened his mouth to speak but Syr took a small step forward and took the lead in the conversation with the Elf, "We were just hoping to do some looking around the store, if that's okay?" Syr said softly in response and the Elf nodded to her words.
"Of course Miss," the Elf stepped to the side to let the two pass and extended her left arm to gesture for them to walk past. "I assume that this is your first time here so I will just give you some simple directions. Walk down the hallway and take the right at the end of the hall, that will lead you to the store. If you take the left it would take you to the waiting room and the staircase to the second floor which is our medical ward where we treat both citizens and adventurers. Any questions?"
"Nope! I am sure that we will be fine now thanks to you!" Syr said as she took another step forward with Yuril and started down the hallway.
"But of course Miss, that is my job after all." the Elf sweetly said in a slightly amused tone as she giggled softly from her own comment.
The two passed the Elf and walked down the hallway together, just like the outside of the building it all looked to be rather expensive. The floor was made of a base red carpet with fancy purple and golden seams along the edges where the rug touched the marble walls. The hallway was illuminated by several crystal chandeliers that were evenly spaced down the length of the walkway every few metres. Once they reached the end of the hallway there was a branch to the right and left just like the Elf greeter had said and the two took the route to the right like they had been instructed to do. Walking for another minute in dead silence void for the soft steps of the white and grey haired individuals. They reached a set of glass doors and carefully pushed them open together, Syr pushing open the left while he pushed open the right for the two to enter.
Once they entered the room they were greeted by a pretty impressive sight, along the walls were glass cases that were filled with different items of varying distinction but all around the same prices, high prices. The wall to the right of the entrance was the glass storefront that Yuril and Syr had first been looking through that brought them into the building in the first place. In the center of the room there were some couches and small coffee tables that looked so appealing to Yuril and his throbbing left leg.
Yuril was the one to take the first step into the room, leaving Syrs side and heading towards the couches to sit down for a few minutes. Yuril could almost sense Syr reaching out to hold him again out of worry for him and he turned his head around with a smile on his face. "I am fine Syr don't worry about me, just need to sit down for a minute. You look around the store and I will join you soon enough."
Syr seemed unconvinced but after a brief moment she nodded as she formed a smile and spoke to him calmly "Okay Yuril, you go rest for a little bit. It has been a bit of a walk around for you so far, I should have let you rest somewhere sooner."
No more words needed to be said as Yuril made his way over to the couch and flopped himself, sinking into the pillowy furniture he closed his eyes for a few minutes to rest while Syr began to explore the ridiculously expensive store. Eventually once Yuril felt himself start to nod off he forced himself to open his eyes to keep from falling asleep in the store. He kept his mind occupied by continuing to examine the surrounding store; there was a large crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling in the center of the room to help illuminate the area. There were several items around the room that were separated in their own cases, which likely meant that they were incredibly expensive and rare items that deserved their own locked glass cases.
Several people came and went from the store, noticing when people entered or left the shop was easy enough to tell as there was a small golden bell suspended above the doorway and would ring whenever the doors were opened. Most of the people that Yuril watched come and go were dressed in clothing that made him believe that they were likely adventurers, with several of them wearing armour and carrying weapons on their backs or hips.
Eventually Yuril's eyes were directed towards the checkout counter in the store, he had not been able to previously see the employee that was standing behind the counter as from where he was seated they had been blocked by the people waiting in a small line. Finding it increasingly difficult to keep his mind occupied and stay awake he placed his hands on his knees and pushed himself up off of the couch and stood up. He took a moment to get adjusted to standing again and started walking towards the counter. The first few steps were a little awkward but after that he was moving fine.
As he walked towards the counter he passed by several more displays that all had price tags that were priced more than what he had initially arrived in the city of Orario with on his first day. Once he did reach the counter he was greeted with a younger looking woman despite the grey colour of her hair which would normally be a sign of an older age. However Yuril had white hair and he was still just a teen so he really had no room to talk about other people's hair colour he reasoned with himself in his mind.
The woman that he was greeted with at the counter had long grey hair that was slightly curly and flowed over her shoulders. She had a set of dark violet eyes and a blank stare painted across her face. On top of her head she had a small medical cap with two thick horizontal golden lines across the front. Her main piece of clothing was a fitting dress with primarily baby blue, navy blue and white colours with some golden lines here and there to make the whole outfit pop. The dress ended midway between her knees and her hips in the center of her thigh. However the white boots that she wore left little of her skin exposed as they reached upwards just past her knees. The dress had long sleeves that connected to a pair of snow white gloves that she wore on her hands. The final notable piece of her uniform that was eye-catching was the small red tie around her neck that had one thicker golden line running through it horizontally near the bottom.
"Hello, are you looking for something in particular?" the woman spoke softly, keeping the same blank stare on her face, a blank stare that reminded him of Ryuu in an almost weirdly similar way. If the woman had not actually spoken Yuril could have been convinced into believing that the woman in front of him was nothing more than an elaborate life sized doll. There were many beautiful women that Yuril had seen since he had arrived in the city, most of which worked at the Hostess of Fertility. However the grey haired woman in front of him was beautiful in her own right and it was enough to make Yuril blush ever so slightly and think carefully about his words for a moment before he spoke.
"I was just dragged in here with my… my close friend, so I am just waiting for her to finish looking around." Yuril said with a slight smile to try and get some kind of expressional reaction from the blank faced woman.
"I see." she simply answered him in a sweet tone with the same blank stare as if she was staring off into space, she blinked a few times before she spoke again. "Well, is there anything that I can help you with Sir. If not, please step back from the counter."
Searching for something to continue the conversation he picked up on the scale that was on the counter just an arms length away, it was made of a base dark wood with golden metallic pieces. The beam that balanced on top of the vertical support held up the two equally weighted and sized golden circular dishes that items could be placed on. "What's that for exactly?" Yuril asked the woman with a curious look on his face.
She tilted her head to the side slightly and pulled the scale over and placed it in between the two, she pulled out a few valis from a small drawer behind the counter and placed them on the right side of the scale. The right side of the scale dipped down and the left side was raised above the right. She then pulled out a few monster scales and set them on the opposite side of the scale until the scale was balanced again. "This device is used to measure the weight of some smaller objects and drop items, it can then be used in sequence with a chart that I have drawn up to appropriately price certain items. Of course it doesn't take into account things like the item's condition, but I can easily do that manually so it is not a major hindrance." she said calmly, to the white haired boy in a polite and gentle voice the entire time keeping her doll-like expression.
Yuril nodded as she spoke and once she had finished her explanation she slid the scale back over to the side and put away the valis and scales that she had pulled out to use for the small and short demonstration. "So, do you get a lot of adventurers here?" Yuril asked a follow up question, he had seen several monster drop related items in the store and with the few adventurers that he had seen he already had a hunch as to what the answer would be from the employee.
"We do get quite a bit of business from adventurers yes, we do have some ongoing contracts with some of the larger familia's too for rarer items from the deeper floors." the woman softly said as she blinked her eyes a few times and looked almost surprised for a moment. Before Yuril could turn around to see what exactly had changed her expression ever so slightly he felt a pair of slender arms wrap around his neck and hug him from behind. Out of the corner of his eye he could see Syr's smiling face as she started to speak "Hello! My name is Syr, who are you exactly?" she asked the woman behind the counter. While she did speak in her usual way there was something oddly hostile in her tone as she spoke, but Yuril just pushed that thought to the back of his mind with a slight shake of his head.
"My name is Amid Teasanare, I am the Captain of the Dian Cecht familia. As well as the head doctor here and the manager of this store. Is that satisfactory Miss?" the woman softly answered Syr with a soothing voice and the same blank expression that she had held throughout her brief conversation with Yuril.
"That is fine, thank you! Now, sorry to trouble you but I was wondering if you can open up one of the glass cases for me please?"
"Which one would that be Miss, if you didn't happen to catch the case number you can simply tell me what is in the case. I spend quite a bit of time organizing the store so I know where pretty much everything is located." the grey haired woman asked softly as she turned her back to Syr for a moment and looked at the shelving behind her, there were bottles of all shapes and sizes containing various potions. However there was a small empty section that held a metal box with a dial on the front that the woman reached for and placed her right hand on and waited for Syr's response.
"I do apologize I didn't actually catch the number… but it is the one with the perfume bottles, in between the cases that had some racks of stamina potions and the monster burn jel."
"I see, so case nineteen then... let's see here…" the woman softly said as she spun the dial a few times and unlocked the small metal case and pulled out a single small golden key that would unlock the requested case. She closed the metal case and relocked it before gesturing for Syr to walk ahead of her and followed closely behind the short grey haired waitress. Yuril watched the two walk over to a case and the woman pulled out an elegant bottle and carefully handed it to the waitress for her to examine it, Syr accepted the bottle and began to closely look it over top to bottom.
While she was examining the bottle closely Yuril leaned up against the counter to try and lessen the amount of pressure he was putting on his right knee and looked at some of the items behind the counter. All of the bottles had a small string wrapped and tied around the neck of the bottles with tags with the prices written on them, the prices were giving Yuril a headache just looking at the long strings of numbers. With how his last dungeon expedition had gone it would take him years to earn even a small fraction of even just one of the bottles. He rubbed his eyes for a few moments to try and rid himself of the headache, when he opened his eyes again there was a wooden box on one of the bottom shelves that caught his eye.
The box looked to be out of its element in the exquisite store, the lid of the small crate was cracked open and tilted off to the side slightly and inside he could see several vibrant colours but he could not make out what it was exactly that the box contained. The most noticeable thing about the crate was that unlike everything else that he had seen in the store it did not have any visible price that he could see from where he was standing.
Yuril could see in the corner of his eye Syr brought the bottle up to her nose and twisted off the lid for a moment and smelled the contents, once she had finished smelling the product she nodded to the woman and started to walk back towards the counter while the shop's manager locked the case.
"Did you find what you wanted Syr? Can you really afford that…?" Yuril asked the waitress with a small smile, how she was exactly planning to pay for the bottle was beyond him, though when he did catch a quick glance at the price tag it was considerably cheaper then most of the stores other items so he assumed that it would be fine.
"Mhm! Don't worry about it Yuril, Mama Mia pays all the waitresses pretty good! Plus, I am quite popular you know, so that means plenty of tips!" Syr said with a shining smile on her face as the woman returned to her spot behind the counter and coughed slightly into a closed fist to gain their attention and clear her throat.
"Pardon me Miss, but if you could pay for the perfume now that would be appreciated." she said softly in an apologetic tone, while she hated to interrupt people it was store policy to have payment provided from the customer as soon as possible.
"Of course! One moment please." Syr said softly as she pulled up her coin pouch from her side, she had hung it over her shoulder by its small thin strap. She opened it up with a small barely audible "click" sound and started to rout around through the small sack for the proper amount of valis.
While she was occupied finding the appropriate amount of money Yuril took the moment to ask a question that had been lingering in the back of his head "That box down there… what's in it?" he asked the woman calmly, he extended his right hand and pointed at the small wooden crate on the bottom shelf in question for her to see.
"Oh, those have been down there for a while…" she said softly as she turned around and kneeled down to pick up the crate. She pulled it from the bottom shelf and lifted it up and spun around to place it on the counter. She removed the dusty lid and inside were numerous small ball shaped objects of various colours. The colours ranged from dark purple, light pink, baby blue, neon yellows and greens to almost every other colour that Yuril had ever seen before. The woman reached into the crate and pulled out one of the small balls and held it up for him to see, it was orange in colour and not quite as big as an apple but bigger than grapes. It was in an equal middle between the two fruits in size.
Yuril accepted the small ball in his hand and found it surprisingly light in his hand, as he rolled it around in his palm he turned his attention back towards the woman behind the counter and continued his line of questioning. "So what are they supposed to do?" he asked with a slight tilt of his head to the side.
"To put it in the most basic of terms, they are paint grenades." the woman calmly said in her sweet voice while she let her hands fall back to their usual place, folded over one another in front of herself.
"Paint… grenades?"
"Yes, they were an item that was made and had various purposes, however none of the theorized methods of use ever really saw massive success. Some people had tried to use them to map out areas and paths using specific colours, however chalk was found to be far more effective so that idea fell through. Other people had tried to use them for entertainment purposes but again other things like fireworks and such have been more successful in that area. Some people have tried to use them for fighting purposes, but they do not explode in a big enough puff of paint to work effectively as a smoke grenade would. We were unfortunate enough to buy a small surplus of them at a sharp discount thinking that we would be able to resell them in mass for a quick influx of funds; however they never sold at the price we needed to break even on them, so they have been just sitting around collecting dust."
"I see…." Yuril said softly under his breath as he placed the small orange ball back into the wooden crate. Any person with enough common sense would have heard the explanation from the grey haired woman and would have just nodded and walked away from the crate and not given it a second thought, but something about them was drawing to Yuril. For whatever reason that he could not hope to explain he had an oddly positive attitude about the contents of the crate, despite the primarily negative review that the store's owner had given them something about them was calling out to him.
Yuril had two main thoughts running through his head, they were sitting around collecting dust for a while and it was likely that he could get them for reasonably cheap because of that fact. Second was that he needed any advantage that he could get in the dungeon without a blessing and he had a gut feeling that somehow, someway he would be able to use the paint grenades to his benefit. So with those thoughts in his mind he mumbled out under his breath "How much for the crate?"
It took a few moments before the woman came back to him with a response, she was likely trying to come up with some price for the items as they had no price tag to go off of and had been sitting for quite a while. "Five hundred valis and you can take the whole crate."
Yuril was a little taken aback by the price that the woman offered for him to pay for the entire crate. But with her words spoken it brought Yuril to his main problem and worry in his life, money. He only had two or three hundred valis on him in his pants pockets. The small bit of money that he had left he kept in the drawer of his nightstand in the attic, it was starting to get late out and with how slow he was forced to move there was no chance of him making it to the Hostess ad back before the store closed for the day.
Syr must have picked up on the slightly saddened expression on Yuril's face because barely a heartbeat later she placed an additional five hundred valis on the counter and slid it over towards the grey haired woman with the rest of the currency to pay for her perfume. "Sold!" she happily said as she clasped her hands together which created a soft echoing off of the tiles of the store's floors, walls and ceiling.
"S-syr you don—"
"Shhh, you stayed with me all day long, this is the least I can do to pay you back for such a great company. So just be happy and don't worry about it, okay?" Syr said softly as she leaned in slightly closer to him with an adorable look in her eyes and soft gentle smile on her face.
With the look that Syr had given him he found his will buckle and he gave in to her like he always did when faced with the grey haired waitress. Just another thing to add to the growing list of things that he owed her, making how much he was indebted to the young woman even more than what it was before. But something told him that the young woman did not particularly care about that as she smiled brightly while the woman behind the counter bagged everything up for the two.
While the two grey haired women finished their sale together Yuril went and sat down for a few more minutes to rest before they left back to the Hostess, at least he had hoped that they would be returning to the Hostess and not making any more stops along the way. At one point he noticed that the woman behind the counter went into the backroom through a side door a few feet away and returned several minutes later, though Yuril reasoned that it was likely to just store the valis that Syr had spent so he paid it little mind.
Once everything was wrapped up and paid for, the two started the walk back towards the Hostess as the sun overhead continued its slow descent downwards towards the horizon as noon had come and gone hours prior. Yuril had initially wanted to carry the crate and while just a single grenade did not weigh that much, the entire collective of the grenades was much more and the box itself added a fair bit of weight for him to try and lug back to the pub. So instead Syr swapped out their items and he carried her expensive bottle of perfume for her and she carried the small crate for him back to the pub.
Once they arrived back at the Hostess it was just beginning to get dark outside, Yuril "enjoyed" a supper cooked by Syr which consisted of some burnt fish of indistinguishable origin and a healthy amount of overdone salty rice. Once he was finished he went upstairs to turn in early for the night, the long day of walking around the city had done a number on his weakened body. Laying down he quickly fell asleep and did not wake up for several hours until Syr had come to join him as she always did each night while he was recovering. Though when she had walked up the stairs and into the attic carrying the small wooden crate of his new paint grenades he simply pretended to be asleep to not worry her anymore than she already was about his sleep schedule.
Once Syr had crawled into the single bed with the white haired boy she waited for a long while until he actually fell asleep and was not simply pretending to be asleep, once he was actually sleeping she reached into a small pocket in her night dress and pulled out the small vial that she had purchased from the store once Yuril had gone to sit down for a minute before they left. The potion was rather expensive but that did not bother Syr in any way, she would have paid whatever the price tag said for her Yuril to be better.
She had not seen the real severity of his limited movement in just the Hostess, he seemed to move around fine on his own and was getting better and better. But a simple stroll around the city had really taken a toll on him and she had started to notice it halfway through the day when he started to walk slower, breathe heavier and ask her to stop for short breaks more frequently. So once she had spotted the Dian Cechts store by complete "coincidence" and convinced the white haired boy to go inside she knew exactly what she was going to get for her Yuril. It was clear to Syr by the end of the day that he needed some more help to heal back to full health.
Though if she was to go right to the counter and ask for what she really wanted it would only draw the attention of her Yuril and if he saw the price tag of the potion that she had bought for him it would probably have made him drop dead right there in the store. He looked guilty enough after she spent the few measly valis to buy him the paint grenades that he had wanted, so she could not begin to imagine what he would have looked like or said if he learned of the real amount that she spent at that store on him.
It was five hundred valis except there were a few extra zeros tacked onto the end, however it bothered her very little what the price of the potion was in actuality. While the potions from the Miach familia that Anya had run out to purchase that terrible morning when they found Yuril teetering on the edge of dying and knocking on death's door had worked to make him a bit better. It seemed that they had reached the extent of their healing capabilities and were no longer helping her Yuril to heal. So the next logical step was to use a healing potion from the very best pharmacy in all of Orario.
She slowly twisted the lid off of the bottle and once the lid was freed from the golden coloured vial she used her left hand to cup the white haired boy's chin while she used her left hand to carefully pour the liquid into his slightly agape mouth. Once the vial was empty she held it above his mouth for a few more seconds to let a few stray drops drip out and into his mouth before she reached her arm out and discarded the small golden glass vial on the nightstand. She used her left hand to close and hold his mouth closed and used her now free hand to plug his nose. There was a brief pause while she stirred in his sleep and squirmed around slightly before she could see him swallow the liquid she poured into his mouth. She lowered her left hand and he breathed hard for a few seconds and gave Syr the opportunity to see inside his mouth, seeing that he had swallowed the expensive potion in its entirety she allowed a satisfied smile to cross her lips before she laid her head down on his one arm she commonly used like it was a pillow and quickly joined him in the dream world.
