"I wish to make you an offer. I know my Empire has taken much from you. But as a mercenary, I believe we can come to a deal that will help us both. My General is willing to offer you noble statues and the heads of all the family members of the nobles who had destroyed your village for your loyalty in return." The man said, making me smirk. "The only way I would even think about joining yall is if you offer me every noble and their family members along with the head of every soldier in your army, if you can give me that then you have my loyalty," I said, smirking, making the man glare at me as he couldn't offer that.
"Child, don't act like just because you killed a couple of Mercs that you can handle our Army. The main force is far better trained." He said, making me laugh as I looked at him, condensing before speaking. "I already got a taste of your army, and it left me unfulfilled," I said, making his face become icy cold as I spoke again. "If that is all, I need to get ready to have fun with your army," I said, turning around as his voice became chilling. "I will make sure to do unthinkable things to your body before killing you, child." Making me smirk. "You have to beat me first, and even if you did, your ability to take that city would fade into history, as you won't have the manpower or your little dragons to help you," I said, looking over my shoulder as I stepped foot back into the forest, and he turned around and walked away.
I had come up with a better idea on how to deal with the flying fire dragons, but it will take me summoning a few new dinosaurs. Lucky for me, it had been three days since I used my points, so I pulled up the system and looked for the dinosaurs I wanted. Fining them, I tweaked them to my liking and hatched them. I was only able to hatch them because I needed to wait another day or two for them to mature, so I went back into the forest. To buy my time, as I won't attack for the next couple of days, it will take them five days once they get to this point to make it to the city from here.
There was no point in rushing it. As the day went on, I noticed the Army moving out. So they wanted to get closer before nightfall, as I watched and slept, keeping my energy at the best level possible. The Army made it here by nightfall and set up its camp about two miles away from the heads so as not to make the men freak out. Before calling it a night, I noticed the number of guards at night had tripled, making me smirk as they had become worried about me to that extent. The following day, I matured the new dinos by half, as I would still need another day to make them fully mature. I did nothing to the Army as I kept watch on them.
I could see them letting down their guard slowly, as I hadn't done anything to them last night, making them relax. As they marched forward, I kept a close watch on the General and the man. "Why hasn't he done anything?!" The General yelled, pissed as he rode his horse, making the Quin speak. "I believe he is planning something, I didn't feel like he would give up," Quin said, looking at Griffith, making the General calm down, and sighed. I didn't do anything when nighttime fell; all I did was watch and study, as I noticed the guards falling asleep more than before, making me smirk and speak to myself. "Tomorrow night it is then," I said before moving deeper into the forest to sleep.
The following morning, I got up early to check on the Army and noticed that almost all the guards had fallen asleep. Making me smile as I had now found the perfect time to attack them, as we started to move once more. I had three days to inflict as much damage on them as I could, and I plan to use it as we made our way slowly deeper into the Leblanc Empire, as I kept them informed on what the Army was doing. A night fell once more, and I started to make my plan, summoning my new dinosaurs in the best place along with the rest of them, as I kept looking at the sky and watching the Army waiting for the soldiers to become lax in their duties.
Finding the best chance to attack at around four in the morning as 3/4th of the guards ad dosed off to sleep keeping the new dinosaurs in the forest I made the carnos cover the rest of use with the Shadow elemental magic and made the Wind rapters make us quiet as we walked out of the camp slowly making our way towards the Army's camp until we got within 50 meters thanks to the Shadow elemental magic the big fires couldn't reach this far as I gave the order to attack. Only a few guards were able to shout, but it was too late as my dinos slammed into the tents, trampling the sleeping soldiers and started to attack the ones who could defend themselves.
"ENEMY ATTACK! ENEMY ATTACK!" Knights finally got moving but flames and earth rocks spread out into the camp as my Mega T-rexs used their elemental magic as knights dead in the thousands before they started to get their act together I noticed them sterying the fire dragons and earth dragons to act making me smile as I whistled for my Dinosuars to slowly retreat giving the enemy the feeling of pushing us back. The slow retreat made the knights and dragons give chase, getting closer to the forest, but that was my plan all along. We were about 300 meters away from it. I launched my plan the moment the fire dragons wanted to cut off my retreat.
"DO IT NOW!" I yelled as four heads popped out from the tree tops. They were Argentinosaurus, the biggest dinosaurs, and I made them bigger as they were covered in metal elemental magic and lightning sparked on them until they opened their mouths, firing four lightning blasts, hitting the fire dragons, sending them to the ground. "KILL THEM NOW!" I roared, sending two Mega T-rexs and two Mega Spinos to each fire dragon as I turned around and dealt with the earth dragons with the rest of the dinosaurs and knights that had given chase.
The tide quickly switched sides, as the fire dragons got overwhelmed with in seconds and ripped apart as the earth dragons had their will to fight broken as they started to disobay their handlers and started to retreat only to be cut off by Carnos and the rest of the Megas as they started to die screaming in pain as the knight fleed in all dirictsion not wanting to be on the battlefield anymore. As the last dragon fell, I noticed the rest of the Army mobilizing and unsummed the dinos quickly after ripping the crystals out of the dead dragons before fleeing into the forest with haste. The Army stopped at the edge, and I could hear the General roaring.
"COWARD! FIGHT ME LIKE A FUCKING MAN!" He roared with so much hatred as the dragons lay dead. He may not have lost many knights, but they lost a powerful part of the Army. The dragons are dead, and about 25,000 knights were killed in one night raid by so few a force. This was unheard of before, and now he doesn't even know if he can take the city, as the dragons played a significant role in that. He will have the head of whoever ordered the deployment of them, as he didn't do it.
"FIND OUT WHO ORDERED THE DEPLOYMENT OF THE DRAGONS, QUIN, AND BRING ME THEIR HEAD!" Roaring before retreating to camp, as he wasn't foolish enough to make chase into the woods at night for an enemy who knew how to fight in the woods. He could tell the child was skilled in woodland warfare and wasn't willing to lose any more men this night, as they still needed to walk for one more day before getting out of the forest area. Once they did, the child would have to leave the forest.
I watched them from within the forest, pulling back, making me click my tongue. He may act like a hot head, but he isn't as stupid as I thought. But I looked at my Carno's levels and smiled as I evolved them into megas and felt the power in my body grow as I had more power and a stronger army. I feel like I can be more open with my attacks now. I still did hit-and-runs because of the dragons, but now that most of my Dinosaurs are megas, I don't need to be fearful of them anymore.
