Chapter 4 - Chapter 4- Broken Chains

The entity's lair was a hellscape of burning bone towers, shrieking spirits, and rotting magic. Shadow beasts slithered between torn realities, their whispers digging into Sable's mind like razors. He had been chained here for days, weeks, maybe longer. Time didn't flow in the abyss. It clawed at you, shredded you, reformed you as something else.

Sable's wrists bled, his demon form flickering as the entity tried, again and again, to take control. But tonight... something shifted.

A vision burned into his mind.

Her.

The goddess, bathed in silver light, touched his soul with warmth he hadn't felt in centuries. Her voice echoed through the darkness: "You are mine, not his. Break free, Sable. I believe in you."

Power surged through him. His chains sparked. His skin blistered as the divine magic seared the corruption. Screaming, Sable pulled against the chains until his muscles tore and his magic surged.

With a thunderous snap, the chains exploded. The entity roared in fury, a sound that cracked the air and sent every creature in the realm scuttling in terror.

Sable collapsed to the ground, trembling.

He didn't wait.

Ripping open a tear in reality, fueled by the last vestiges of the goddess's magic, he stumbled through the veil and landed in a twisted, dark forest. The trees whispered. The wind carried screams. He was out...but not free.

He leaned against a tree, panting. His claws dug into the earth.

"I can't find her," he growled. "I'll taint her. I'll destroy her. I'm still... wrong." He was terrified he would hurt her. He knew she was safe with the Vampire King right now. He was able to relax slightly.

The wind didn't answer him anyways.

Alone, bloodied, and broken, Sable vanished into the night. A demon torn between darkness and the fragile thread of hope she'd left in his heart.

The goddess had given him a sliver of light.

Now he had to decide what the hell to do with it.

In the underworld, the entity seethed. Sable had escaped.

The chains lay broken. The divine magic used to free him was still sizzling in the air like ozone after lightning, leaving a bitter taste in the entity's mouth.

"That little goddess bitch," he snarled, his voice like nails scraping against glass. His monstrous form surged with dark fire and smoke, his wings unfurling as he tore across his realm.

He had placed all his bets on Sable, the perfect pawn, the perfect weapon. Centuries of pain and rage to twist into loyalty. But now, the goddess had slipped her will into his plan, yanking the demon free before the final tether could lock.

The entity's fury boiled over.

"FUCK THIS," he screamed, and then vanished.

Back in the capital, the royal family was mid broadcast.

Queen Lorelei, radiant and shimmering in a glittering gown that clung to her curves, smiled into the crystal lens. "We're so honored to celebrate peace and prosperity in our kingdom today...."

BOOM.

A violent explosion ripped through the throne room.

The entire screen went white with magical feedback as the entity's shadowy mass exploded into view, swirling with fire, smoke, and a chorus of unholy screams.

Screams filled the livestream as servants scrambled and courtiers fled.

"Cut the fucking feed!" King Kristoff roared.

But it was too late.

The FaeNet stream had reached over 8 million views in less than a minute.

The entity stood in the middle of the destruction, glowing eyes focused on Lorelei and Kristoff. "You fools lost me my key. My weapon. You dare fail me?"

The queen trembled, trying to sing, but her voice cracked. Her siren song faltered.

The king stepped forward. "We'll fix this. We swear it."

"You'd better," the entity growled. "Or I will burn your palace to ash and slaughter every smiling sycophant in your blood drenched empire."

He vanished in a flash of void energy, leaving only fire, shadow, and the echoes of his threats.

The stream finally cut.

FaeNet lit up with chaos.

And deep below, in the palace dungeon, the queen's evil court gathered....terrified, furious, and plotting their next move under the veil of shadows and screams.
