Chapter 33 - Chapter 33 The Framework Of Four Decks

The regular meeting turned into a big deal. Caesar and Makarov also went to the Magic Council and got beaten by the Council.

But it wasn't a huge problem—after all, we have connections in the Magic Council.

Still, Yajima and Makarov complained. Fairy Tail had been too high-profile recently and was being targeted by the Council, so Makarov was advised to restrain himself.

Makarov naturally agreed, while Yajima just felt helpless toward his friend who could sleep through the trial.

What else could be done?

Just pamper him.

Yajima was also very optimistic about Caesar. He patted Caesar on the shoulder and told him to keep up the good work. If needed, he could also speak on Caesar's behalf.

Caesar humbly accepted the praise.

As for Fairy Tail's future troubles, the old man was still needed to help.

Fairy Tail got punished, and Phantom Lord was next.

Jose and Aria weren't as lucky as Caesar and the others. Without people to back them up and because they were the aggressors, they were punished harshly.

First, their commission allocations were cut by 10%. Second, they had to settle with three dark guilds that were known for being difficult and unwanted by others. On top of that, they had to complete two troublesome S-level commissions within three months.

The punishment was quite severe.

Back at the guild, Caesar started handling the next order issues and began his journey of completing commissions.

Every day was fully scheduled, and the guild members were shocked and envious.

No way around it — even if it was tiring, the rewards were enviable!

It took over three months to clear the orders, and Caesar collected the remaining balance. Coupled with the commissions completed during that time, Caesar's balance reached over 26 million J.

That's an astonishing sum. To be blunt, with so much money, if someone found a small village and lived frugally, they could easily retire.

But that amount wasn't enough for Caesar, who wanted to build decks.

Depending on his performance, Caesar planned to build four decks: melee, swordsman, ranged, and nanny.

He also thought about decks for human shields and assassins, but after some thought, he decided they weren't necessary.

First, those four decks alone required a total of 24 cards. Adding props and bonds made the required funds extremely tight.

If he built any more decks, no matter how much money he made, it wouldn't be enough.

The decks were based on Caesar's current fighting styles.

For main attacks, Caesar excelled in melee and swordsmanship, so he built two decks focused on those. Then, to avoid being kited, he added a long-range burst deck.

Finally, a recovery deck to increase fault tolerance using the nanny flow. That was sufficient.

As for the card combinations in each deck, Caesar could only say that his ideas were good, but putting them together was difficult.

The only deck somewhat completed was the nanny deck.

In more than three months, two limited-time card pools opened—one for Tsunade and one for Trafalgar Law.

He wondered if this cruel game just wanted him to keep spending money. The drop rates from the limited-time pools were extremely high.

At one point, Tsunade dropped twice. Another time, Law dropped five times.

Based on these two doctors with strong healing abilities, Caesar used his remaining spirit stones to quickly get the cards he needed, still having enough for three ten-draws left.

The six cards in the nanny deck were: Elizabeth (purple), Tsunade (gold), Law (gold), Inoue Orihime (purple), Giorno Giovanna (gold), and Higashikata Josuke (gold).

Since there were no red cards, assembling them was easy. This combination was the most perfect in Caesar's mind.

No matter if there were multiple injuries or missing internal organs or limbs, Caesar basically had no major problems.

Not to mention how powerful Elizabeth's healing and Higashikata Josuke's Crazy Diamond were—the gold experience alone could bring dead objects to life and replace missing organs. With Tsunade and Law's medical skills, survival was almost guaranteed.

If curses appeared, Inoue Orihime's power of rejection could negate them for treatment.

After mastering this combo, Caesar felt that with all six cards, he could basically rival the God of Death.

For the other three combat decks, red cards were indispensable, making assembly quite difficult.

"For melee combat, the two red cards Jiro and Escanor are must-haves. For flexibility and practicality, Minato Namikaze is irreplaceable."

Caesar rubbed his temples, then considered options for the other three cards.

"Kakarot or Vegeta could work, and so could Beerus, but collecting or getting those is tough."

"In the swordsman deck, Inuyasha's half-demon physique is very useful, so I'll keep him for now. Zoro's swordsmanship talent means I have to find a way to get him. As for the others… there are too many options."

"For long-range, I'll choose high burst cards and rely on nukes to clear the field. Burst damage is the focus—nothing else needed. These cards make the list."

Caesar quickly planned the framework of each deck in his mind.

The rest was filling in the framework and completing the decks.

At the start, he didn't need to worry about card levels, just getting the decks assembled.

Extra cards could be substitutes, and decks could be swapped anytime for different fighting styles and effects.

Thinking this, Caesar smiled bitterly.

The idea was great, but so far, only two cards were within reach.

The third was still far away.

At first, Caesar thought he needed to level up.

But…

Name: Caesar+

Level: 20 (max)

Physique: 49+ (333)

Strength: 48+ (316)

Agility: 48+ (293)

Seeing the max level, Caesar knew he couldn't level up further.

But the extra "+" sign after his name caught his eye.

He immediately understood.

It seemed he needed to undergo a "turn" like other cards.

However, other cards could turn using card fragments.

What about him?

He couldn't just chop himself into pieces to turn.

He clicked on the plus sign, and a page popped up.

As expected, the page said Caesar needed to change.

The materials required for the first turn…

Caesar rubbed his eyes and checked again, barely able to believe what he saw.

"Three thousand green cards, 1,000 spirit stones."

That's what he needed to turn!
