Chapter 6 - Kneel down

An hour later.

The nine golden needles had all been removed from their acupuncture points, and the once bright golden light in the room gradually dimmed.

Grant let out a long sigh of relief. The treatment was over, and Third Master James had almost expelled all the poison from his body. It was only a matter of time before he woke up.

"I'm so tired. It's been a long time since I've exerted so much effort to save someone," Grant said.

He pushed open the door and saw the James Family members gathered outside, their faces filled with anxiety.

"Miracle Doctor Dixon, you finally came out!"

"Miracle Doctor Dixon, how is my grandfather?"

The crowd paid no attention to Grant, but instead rushed past him towards Liu Jianjun, who was standing behind him.

"It went smoothly. We finally solved the problem. Third Master James is still inside, but I estimate he'll wake up soon," Miracle Doctor Dixon said, waving his hand. "But this time, it's all thanks to Mr. Morgan. Without him, we wouldn't have been able to save Third Master James."

As Liu Jianjun spoke, he checked his phone and saw dozens of missed call notifications. He couldn't help but slap his forehead in frustration.

"Oh no!" He was pulled away by Grant in the midst of his busy schedule, and he hadn't even had a chance to deal with things over there yet!

"I'm really sorry, I have a meeting to attend to now. If you want to thank someone, thank Mr. Morgan!" Liu Jianjun said hurriedly before leaving.

"Mr. Morgan's contribution?"

"Miracle Doctor Dixon said so. Is this useless guy really the one who cured him?"

"How is that possible!"

As Liu Jianjun's words fell, everyone was shocked to see Grant standing at the door, sweating profusely.

"A useless guy...no, Grant, you cured my grandfather?"

"But didn't you never study medicine?"

Some of the Surnamed James descendants couldn't believe it.

But no matter what, Miracle Doctor Dixon had personally confirmed this!

"Heh, that's because my master is kind-hearted and doesn't care about fame and fortune. He deliberately gave the credit to this useless guy," Eric suddenly spoke up from the side, sneering. "There's no way a useless guy like him could cure an illness that the hospital couldn't solve for years. He's probably just tired from serving tea and pouring water inside."

"Everyone, please follow me. I can prove that what I said is true," Eric sneered, holding a silver needle and leading the group into the sickroom.

Third Master James was still lying on the bed, although his eyes were closed, the dark spots had already faded, and his skin was faintly glowing with a healthy redness.

Eric sat by the bed and calmly spoke, "My master had already inserted most of the needles, but due to an emergency, he left three needles. I will now use them to awaken Third Master James and completely cure his lung disease."

"Dr. Li, is this true? Are you saying that my grandfather will never have this illness again?" Jackson immediately showed an expression of disbelief.

Everyone was shocked.

It should be noted that Third Master James' illness had plagued the James Family for several years!

Enjoying the shocked looks of the crowd, Eric nodded confidently, "If I intervene, this is natural!"

"Oh my God!"

"Grandfather's illness can actually be completely cured!"

"Dr. Li, truly a divine physician! Master and disciple working together, the medicine cures the disease!"

Eric waved his hand lightly, and the crowd immediately quieted down. He looked down at Grant with disdain, "You useless person, can you do any of this?"

"I can't do it," Eric said. Grant shook his head. Third Master James was deeply poisoned, and even a god couldn't cure him with just a few needles.

"But if you don't give him the treatment, Third Master James' life is in danger!" Eric exclaimed.

Before he could even feel proud of himself, Eric's expression changed when he heard Grant's response. He felt like his head was exploding, and he jumped up from the bed, pointing at Grant and cursing, "You're talking nonsense!"

"I've treated over a thousand people, received commendations, and countless awards. How can you call me a quack?" Grant replied.

"You're a waste of space! Apologize now!" Eric threatened. "Otherwise, I'll sue you!" he added.

"You're still going on and on, aren't you?" Jackson turned around and glared at Grant.

"Miracle Doctor Dixon is kind-hearted and doesn't take credit for his work. But you, who don't even have a medical license, think you're a miracle doctor who can cure my grandfather?" he continued.

"Do you even qualify?" he asked.

Dozens of Surnamed James' descendants became agitated and began to accuse Grant loudly, their voices harsh and unforgiving.

As Daisy listened, she felt increasingly uncomfortable, her face burning with embarrassment. Although Grant was a useless man, he was still her husband in name, and his shame was her shame.

When would Grant stop being so useless?

Grant looked calmly at Eric, his expression unchanged. "In sixty seconds, you will be begging me," he said.

"Beg you?" Eric sneered. "Ha! I find that not only are you stupid, but you also like to daydream! Wait until I wake up Third Master James, and then we'll see how you roll out of here!"

"You useless piece of trash, watch me give him acupuncture!" Grant retorted.

Eric held a silver needle in his hand, fully focused. Everyone held their breath as they watched, but only Grant realized that Eric was targeting stimulating acupoints, hoping to wake up Third Master James as soon as possible.

Unfortunately...

After his five-needle technique, Third Master James' acupoints were temporarily sealed. If Eric continued to needle him, it would be tantamount to risking Third Master James' life!

"He moved, Grandpa's eyes moved," one of the sharp-eyed Surnamed James descendants suddenly exclaimed.

"See that!" Eric sneered, "You're useless! Who's going to be embarrassed in the end? It's you!"

"Thirty seconds left," Grant glanced at his watch.

"You're shedding crocodile tears!" Eric was getting angry and unconsciously tightened his grip.

In his opinion, Third Master James was about to wake up, and Grant would be the one to be humiliated.

However, in the next second, Third Master James' face, which was originally rosy, suddenly changed. It was as if all the energy in his body had been sucked out in an instant. His skin became dry and his face turned pale. Even his chest, which was still rising and falling a second ago, stopped beating.

In an instant, all signs of life were gone!

"This, this, this!" Eric exclaimed three times, his face stunned.

What's going on?

Having learned his lesson from before, he only carefully stimulated two irrelevant acupoints this time, but the situation in front of him was even more severe than before.

In his eyes, Third Master James was already dead!

"Dr. Li, is my grandfather waking up soon?" Jackson, who didn't understand medicine, couldn't see the changes.

"Ten seconds left," Grant stood aside and said casually, "After ten seconds, even if you want to kneel, you won't have a chance."

"You useless piece of trash, shut up! Do you believe I'll kick you out right now?" Jackson was annoyed by Grant's constant noise.

"Doctor Eric, please give the injection quickly. After my grandfather wakes up, I'll make sure this useless piece of trash kneels and leaves!" The burliest young man beside them glared at Grant and said.

"Make him leave quickly!"

"Yes, he shouldn't be here as a useless piece of trash!"

In the hospital room, everyone echoed their agreement.

The next second.

Thud!

A muffled collision sounded, and Eric's knees hit the tiles heavily, facing Grant, "Mr. Morgan, Dr. Mu, please help us quickly. I was disrespectful just now!"

Others couldn't tell, but Eric knew very well that if they delayed any longer, Third Master James would be completely dead!

Thud! Thud!

Eric's head was pounding, and he coughed up blood!

Everyone stood up, completely stunned.

The only thing left in their ears was the dull echo in the hospital room.

Eric, kneeling down?

And he called this useless piece of trash a divine doctor...
