Chapter 87 - Chapter 87: The Fourth Fake

"Bind him!"

At this command, several black plate-armored knights immediately dismounted, drawing long chains from their horses' backs and advancing menacingly towards Suya.

Seeing this, Suya abruptly stepped back, his hand on his sword hilt.

Noticing his movement, Lucan, Merlin, and the others were startled. Before they could stop Suya, the Black Knight, his face instantly grim, spoke in a deep voice:

"Resisting a royal decree is an even greater crime!"

"I advise you not to invite trouble."

Suya's expression hardened, but he had no intention of removing his hand from his sword hilt. He glanced around at the expressions on the faces of his 'own people'; none seemed inclined to stop these knights from binding him.

His heart immediately skipped a beat. He thought, Is it finally time? Are these cheap teammates about to sell me out?

And are you blind, my British lord? I'm a good citizen; I just saved twenty thousand Britons. You don't even give me a commendation flag or some pounds as a token, and now you want to bind me?

Seeing the black-armored knights approach, Suya certainly wasn't going to hand his life over to them. He immediately swung his hand back, intending to draw his sword, then use Swift Charge to counter-attack into the crowd behind him, hoping to use the confusion to evade the cavalry and snatch a horse to escape.

However, the Black Knight exhaled deeply, his face impatient, and drew a red chain from his waist, lashing it out!

The next instant, these dark red chains, as if sentient, split into three strands in mid-air, rapidly entangling Suya!

From this Black Knight, Suya immediately felt immense pressure. This was a Half-Hero. In fact, a faint, rising instinct told him that this person was even holding back!

Suya immediately activated his Red Dragon's Eye, unleashed his Crest Combat Skill, and in a flash, his mind analyzed as many as 37 sword techniques that could counter this move. However, before he could wonder why the opponent's attack had so many openings, at that moment, a sharp pain suddenly shot through the back of his head.

Suya twisted his head and saw Dagonet, who had suddenly appeared behind him, his honest, slightly apologetic face. His vision instantly went black.

Dagonet, on the other hand, let out a sigh of relief, personally taking the chains from the black-armored knight's hand and binding the unconscious Suya with a technique that wouldn't hurt him.

"Good, didn't let His Majesty draw his sword."

Beside him, Lucan and Merlin also breathed sighs of relief. Merlin then looked at the Black Knight and said, "Sir Agravain, I am acquainted with Princess Morgan le Fay. I trouble you to inform her when you return to the Silver Crown Court, and tell her—"

"I have what she desires."

Black Knight Agravain's expression froze upon hearing this. He swept a glance over Merlin, a hint of surprise in his eyes. Immediately after, he nodded indifferently.

When he opened his eyes again, Suya found himself in an iron prisoner's cart. His armor had been removed, leaving only a white inner garment. His upper body was bound tightly with iron chains, like a zongzi, but strangely, the chains only looked tight; it seemed Suya could break free with a little effort.

The horse-drawn cart bumped along a neglected dirt road, surrounded by a sprawling military camp. Further in the distance, a chalk city wall loomed like a crouching dragon.

Beside the prisoner's cart, there was only one mounted knight, and the Black Knight he had first met. At this moment, a shadow fell over them. The prisoner's cart passed through an archway and stopped before a building filled with torture instruments.

"Come down."

The Black Knight raised a hand to open the prison door, speaking indifferently.

"Keep the chains on. You'll be interrogated by the Crusader Knights later."

Suya was a bit baffled, but instinctively, he felt that the other party didn't seem to bear him ill will. Moreover, there seemed to be a peculiar sense of familiarity between him and this knight? This familiarity made Suya feel awkward. He didn't know the other person, but the other person seemed to know him. If he exposed at this moment that he was no longer the original King Arthur's substitute, what would happen?

With this confusion, and for caution's sake, Suya chose to remain silent.

At this point, the Black Knight

took the initiative to speak a name to him:

"Agravain."

Suya was stunned: "Huh?"

"My name."

"Of course, that's not important. The main thing is you—"

Agravain turned his head, calmly looking at Suya, and said indifferently: "You seem to have forgotten many things."

Suya thought to himself, Well, yeah, I only remember lying on the sofa like Peppa Pig, blinked, and ended up in this world. It's not just a matter of forgetting some memories; I didn't have any of this stuff to begin with!

Thinking of this, Suya tentatively asked, "Then what should I remember?"

Agravain nodded. "Good, not stupid yet."

"You just need to remember that you are now Suya, Sir Ector's adopted son."

Suya furrowed his brow and asked, "Then what about Arthur?"

"There is no such person," Agravain emphasized again. "This world never had such a person before, and will not have such a person in the future."

Suya let out a long breath. Knowing this information and understanding the name of the person before him, he roughly guessed what kind of script he had landed in.

The original owner's act of killing Arthur seemed not to be accidental, but orchestrated by someone behind the scenes. And the person who orchestrated the original owner's actions must be one of those who knew Arthur Pendragon's true identity, and sought to kill Arthur Pendragon to achieve some purpose.

Agravain.

In history, this person was the son of the enchantress Morgan le Fay, or Queen Morgause, and the secretary of the Knights of the Round Table, King Arthur's most important right-hand man. In terms of governing the kingdom alone, his importance even surpassed Merlin's.

He just didn't know which version of Agravain this was.

Thinking of this, Suya immediately asked tentatively: "So, we're on the same side then? Whom should we be loyal to?"

Agravain shook his head, not telling Suya the answer. "You are about to be interrogated by the Crusader Knights. I cannot tell you, and you'd best not make wild guesses."

"Crusader Knights?"

Hearing the content of the other's words, and hearing this term, which Lucan regarded as a terrifying monster, again, Suya couldn't help but feel confused. He looked at Agravain, hoping to get an answer from him.

Agravain merely commented succinctly:

"A bunch of fakes."

He paused, then mocked with a self-deprecating sneer, "Of course, so are we."

"You are the false son of Sir Ector, and I, I don't even have the qualification to be a 'person'."

Hearing this, Suya immediately looked up in shock at the fourth fake he had encountered. He thought, Britannia is truly doomed!

He, who replaced King Arthur, was a fake. Merlin, who seemed to be Merlin's replacement, was a fake. Lucan, the royal enthusiast, was a fake. Now, even Agravain, King Arthur's confidant and Knight of the Round Table, claimed to be a fake.

But then, Suya couldn't help but wonder, were these people really fakes? Everything seemed related to the Feast of Seven Kings that happened fifteen years ago. So, was it possible that these people were not fakes, but merely had their growth paths altered due to changes in the timeline?

Suya then looked up and asked curiously, "Agravain, why do you say that?"

Agravain did not answer Suya's question. It seemed his nature was simply taciturn, and speaking this much to Suya now was already unprecedented.

He merely tilted his head slightly, looking outside the door.

At this moment,

Thump! Thump!~

Thump! Thump!~

A series of heavy footsteps sounded outside the door.

Seeing a squad of knights about to enter the interrogation cell, Agravain finally reminded Suya in a deep voice:

"Listen—"

"In the capital, the more you know, the faster you die!"

"You just need to stay as you are now. If you encounter an insoluble problem, come find me at 13 Knight Street, Fourth Ring, on the Saturday holiday, use the back door."

"At other times, we don't know each other."

Suya's expression froze. With a head full of questions, he turned to look at the group of knights entering from outside the door. These knights wore heavy armor with red and white coloring, a white cross pattern directly in the center of their chests, carrying greatswords as massive as doors, and wearing iron cross white helmets.

They looked like holy knights straight out of a myth, each exuding the aura of a master-level expert. The leading knight, however, wore no helmet, revealing a solemn, stern, meticulous square face.

Yet at this moment, upon seeing Suya, bound like a zongzi beside Agravain, his sharply defined, serious face actually revealed a fawning smile.

"You must be the heroic knight, Suya, who led three hundred thousand routed troops and broke through the Conqueror King's encirclement, right?"

"Don't worry,"

"We're just following standard procedure. The kingdom's high command will soon issue your commendation. Furthermore, the Archbishop of Canterbury and Duke Edward II think highly of you; I presume they will summon you soon."

Hearing this, Suya couldn't help but be stunned again: "Huh?"

"No, when did I lead three hundred thousand routed troops to break through an encirclement?"

The knight, solemn-faced yet wearing a fawning smile, seemed deaf. He merely continued to grin obsequiously, then immediately snapped at the knight beside him:

"What are you standing around for? Quickly unbind this Lord Knight!"

"Lord Suya, please follow me this way. We have prepared afternoon tea and snacks for you!"
