"Nirvay… wake up! Don't you have office today?"
Aarohi nudged him gently.
Nirvay groaned, pulling her softly towards him, "Why did you wake up so early?"
"This is your daily routine now! You never feel like going to the office."
"That's exactly why my company is always in profit — stop questioning and sleep with me," he whispered, half-asleep.
"It's already 8 AM, Nirvay. I'll make coffee. You better get ready and go."
"You're such a heartless person."
"It's been four months since our wedding, and this is what you do every day!"
"Four months or four hundred years… I'll always do this — love you endlessly."
"Nirvay… get up."
He finally sat up, rubbing his eyes. "Fine… I'll get ready. You bring the coffee."
---
Aarohi's POV —
This is how life has been after marriage…
My wounds have almost healed, but Nirvay's care and love haven't changed one bit.
Though… he's developed a strange habit — not wanting to leave for the office in the morning.
---
"Here's your coffee," Aarohi handed him the cup.
"Check your calendar, Aarohi… Don't you have a doctor's appointment today?"
Aarohi checked.
"Yes… I do. Come on, get ready. I'll make breakfast."
"Nope, today I'll make it… for my wife."
"Ugh, flirting in the morning again?"
"I don't flirt by checking the time, Aarohi… I'll flirt whenever I want — you can't stop me."
"You're crazy."
"Crazy… in your love."
"Today… I hope all my reports come out perfect. It's been six months since the accident."
Nirvay kissed her forehead gently.
"Don't worry… they will."
---
Hospital —
"All the tests are done. Let's just wait for the reports," the doctor smiled.
"Aarohi seems perfectly fine, but we'll wait — internal healing matters as much as external."
Both nodded.
Three hours later…
The doctor came back with a big smile.
"Mr. & Mrs. Raj, congratulations! All the reports are perfect. Aarohi, you're completely healthy now. Just maintain your diet and healthy lifestyle."
"Thank you, ma'am," Aarohi smiled.
"I'm so happy… thank you so much," Nirvay added.
"And now, Aarohi, you can enjoy your normal married life — fully healed. The scars will remain, but they're only memories now."
Both thanked her and left.
---
In the car —
"I'm so relieved. I'm perfectly fine now," Aarohi sighed.
"I'm beyond happy… Let's celebrate!" Nirvay grinned.
"Hmm… I want to go home, though. We've been out for five hours."
"Oh, why? You want to enjoy your married life?" he teased.
"Drive!" Aarohi blushed.
"Look… I'm not saying this. The doctor did. And who am I to disobey medical advice?"
"Drive!"
I better stay quiet… if I say anything now, he'll make me quiet his way, Aarohi thought.
---
At home —
"I'm going to change," Aarohi said.
Nirvay hugged her from behind, kissed her forehead.
"I've been waiting for this day… when you'd be free from medicines, injections, and hospital visits. And I love you… so much."
"I love you too, Nirvay."
"Go change… I'll bring something to drink."
---
Later…
"This day was amazing," Aarohi said as the clock struck 4 PM.
"It was… and I'll make the night even better," Nirvay winked.
"Are you starting again?"
"I haven't even started yet… should I?" he leaned in.
"I'm going to the kitchen."
"Wait… listen to me first."
He pulled her gently, made her sit close, and kissed her softly.
"I'm going to the kitchen… want coffee?"
"Yes," she smiled.
---
Doorbell rang…
The staff opened it.
"AAROHIII! I'm so happy!" Sukhi burst inside.
"Sukhi? What happened?"
"My dad finally agreed for me and Ayush's marriage!"
"What?!! Oh my God! Congratulations!" Aarohi hugged her.
"Where's Nirvay?"
"In the kitchen."
"That slave of his wife," Sukhi teased.
"Sukhi?" Nirvay walked in.
"Yes, it's me!"
"Wow… what a surprise!"
"Well, guess what? My wedding is this week — six days from now! And Aarohi… you're coming with me. I need shopping help, and who else but my bestie? It's a destination wedding, so you'll stay with me for four days and two days at the venue. Got it?"
"This week? Isn't that too soon?" Nirvay asked.
"I'm not taking any risks! And don't worry — I'll take care of Aarohi, her diet, medicines, rest… everything. I love her just as much as you do. I have full rights over her too."
"I'll bring Aarohi to the venue later," Nirvay tried.
"Nope. She's coming now."
---
"Do you have any health issues, Aarohi? Should I check with your doctor?" Sukhi asked.
"I just had my appointment today… all reports are normal," Aarohi replied.
"I'm so happy… now we'll have real fun!" Sukhi hugged her.
"Yes… it'll be epic!"
---
"Aarohi, wait… listen…" Nirvay called as she packed.
"Aarohi… are you really going?"
"Nirvay… you're really going to stop me? It's her wedding. She's so happy… I want to be there for her. You and Ayush enjoy your boys' time."
He hugged her tightly.
"It's hard, Aarohi… don't go."
"We're done here?" Sukhi asked. "Because we're leaving now."
---
Night — Sukhi's House —
Everyone sat chatting and laughing…
Aarohi's phone rang.
"Nirvay…?" she answered.
"I can't sleep…"
"Try… and I can't talk for long."
"You can't even talk now?"
"Where am I, Nirvay?"
"Sukhi's house…"
"And where's Sukhi's house? It's the place I grew up. My parents are here too."
"Right… you and Sukhi are neighbors."
"Good night… I'm missing you."
"I miss you too… should I come over?"
"No… go to Ayush's place."
"He said we boys don't do much like you girls… just a single night's celebration."
"Just don't do what you both did last time. If you do, I'll tell Sukhi — and she'll give you hell."
"Nooo… please don't tell her. We'll control ourselves this time."
"Good. Sleep now."
---
"Sukhi, who was it?"
"Nirvay," Aarohi smiled.
Why is this feeling so strange… I'm here with my family, friends, Sukhi… all so happy… dancing… celebrating… but my heart is searching for just one person.
Why does it feel like even in a room full of my people… I miss him the most?
But when he's with me… I never even think about anyone else.
Maybe… this is what they mean when they say — one person becomes your entire world.
Aarohi smiled… danced… chatted…
But her heart… stayed with Nirvay.
