Shen Mu tightly held the thinnest stem of the cocktail glass, her gaze fixed on the man in front of her, unable to look away as she searched her memory for his face.
The man quickly provided her with an answer, "Don't you remember me? I'm from the orphanage, three years ago when it caught fire, you helped us put out the flames!"
His words were so convincing that it was hard to believe he was making it up.
Huo Yunxiao furrowed his brows and asked, "Mu Mu, do you know him?"
Shen Mu immediately shook her head, "How could I have come here to put out a fire?"
Huo Yunxiao thought the same thing, but before he could say anything, Shen Mu stood up and said, "I'm done eating, let's go back."
Huo Yunxiao paid the bill and followed Shen Mu out of the restaurant.
Shen Mu walked quickly ahead, not like she was leaving the restaurant, but more like she was running away.
"Mu Mu!" Huo Yunxiao caught up and asked, "What's wrong? Did that person scare you?"
