Chapter 176 - Chapter 176: Lumina Gameplay Demo

After showcasing the character modeling, walking, and running animations, the demonstration naturally progressed to Lumina's Basic Attack and Technique.

In the video, as the Basic Attack button was clicked, green light surged from Lumina's hand, instantly conjuring an exquisitely ornate Staff.

Wielding the Staff, Lumina gently waved it before her. Several vines, adorned with beautiful blossoms, materialized and erupted in a radiant explosion.

After the explosion, lingering radiance shimmered in the air. From this ethereal glow emerged several butterflies of varying hues, which fluttered skyward and vanished into the heavens.

"Excellent, excellent! This Basic Attack is truly stunning," Lumina nodded approvingly as she watched her character's attack unfold in the video.

Her graceful posture and holy radiance perfectly accentuated Lumina's divine beauty.

With the Basic Attack demonstration complete, the focus shifted to showcasing her Technique.

In the video, as the Technique button was activated, the magnificent Staff reappeared in Lumina's hand. This time, instead of waving the Staff, she raised it high above her head, causing it to emit a brilliant emerald glow.

Centered around the Staff, a radiant light began to spread. Wherever the light touched, countless blades of grass and vibrant flowers bloomed. Each flower retained its fullest, most vibrant form, radiating an eternal, unwavering fragrance as they swayed gently in an inexplicable breeze.

Butterflies and bees alighted upon these blossoms, creating a miniature haven of perpetual serenity...

Even this small patch of lawn was breathtaking. If the area were expanded to encompass an entire garden, how magnificent would it be...

(The range is about the same size as Welt and Himeko's Technique.)

[Holy shit! You call this a Technique?]

[Welt, Himeko, Jingliu: ??? Holy shit, someone's hacking!]

[Holy Cow! Even the visual effects of this Technique could make the animation team cry! (Facepalm and cry)]

[The Technique's already OP, what about the Skill? Or the Ultimate? I'm already trying not to laugh. (Stifled laughter)]

[Argenti, I've found my Idrila! (Crying)]

As expected, although it was still a Domain Skill, its unique presentation once again sent the Comment Section into a frenzy.

It seemed nearly everyone approved of Lumina's Domain Skill.

Thinking about it, this made sense. With the Version 2.0 heavy hitters yet to be released, Lumina's Technique appearing in Version 1.0, even at its late stages, was akin to a dimensional strike.

If anyone dared criticize it, Lumina would reach through the internet and give them a good two punches!

After showcasing the Basic Attack and Technique, it was time for the combat demonstration.

Following the Technique demonstration, the video first replayed everything that had just been shown from start to finish. Then, the screen went black before transitioning directly into the combat footage.

Lumina's stance and Basic Attack were identical to those demonstrated during the trial, so there was nothing particularly exciting to see.

Soon, after all five enemy units launched their attacks, reducing Lumina's health below half, it was finally her turn to act.

As the Skill button was activated and enlarged, Lumina's stance shifted.

The perspective shifted to our side, showing Lumina with her eyes closed, one hand resting on her chest and the other tightly gripping her Staff. Waves of green light emanated from the Staff, and the tips of Lumina's hair flickered with the same emerald glow.

(Refer to Robin's Skill for reference.)

With the Skill activation, Lumina opened her eyes. A corner of a garden materialized beneath her feet, a gentle breeze rustling the flowers. Animals circled her, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene.

Below, her health bar, previously halved, instantly refilled to full as the animals dispersed.

[Hehehe ԅ(♡Д♡ԅ) Lady Lumina, elegant, intelligent, beautiful—my goddess!!!]

[Just for these visual effects, I'd pull even if it healed the enemy!]

[Wasn't the Lumina Version 1 Skill leak released ages ago? Destroys heaven and earth! If it weren't for that Genshin Game next door and Honkai: Star Rail's continued dominance in gacha revenue, I'd have thought miHoYo was about to bail!]

[You didn't really think that skill would survive the Test Server, did you? (Laughing and crying) If this is the final version, I can't even imagine how overpowered the Version 2.0 characters will be!]

"As expected, the controversy is huge..." Lumina murmured, observing the comment section.

Though she hadn't watched the skill reveal videos herself, she could more or less guess the atmosphere there.

"Come to think of it, what exactly did I put down for the first version of the skill?" Lumina muttered to herself.

[Here, I've sent it to you.]

Sensing Lumina's thoughts, the System kindly sent her the first draft of the skill she had submitted.

"Hmm... No wonder they're calling it game-breaking." Lumina glanced over the draft and confirmed its truly overpowered nature.

It seemed she had gotten carried away while writing the skill and hadn't realized how overpowered it had become...

But no matter. This wasn't the final version anyway. What's wrong with the first draft being a little OP?

Dismissing the matter, Lumina's attention returned to the video, where she continued watching.

The Basic Attack and Skill had already been showcased. Next up was the Ultimate...
