"Uh... I think we've found something to do now," March 7th said, putting her phone away after reading the message. The previously directionless path had suddenly gained clear direction.
"Hmm... Someone's inviting you to visit her?" Lumina asked, feigning ignorance despite knowing exactly what March 7th had discovered.
"Yep!" March 7th nodded, pulling out her phone again to show Lumina the entire chat history without reservation.
"Hmm... Fragmentum Creature disappearances... Belobog Restoration Project?" Lumina murmured, feigning curiosity as she studied the message on March 7th's phone screen, deliberately pausing as if deep in thought. "I think I've heard something about this before..."
"Oh, Sister Lumina, you know Jarilo-VI? The planet you revived with the ring? Belobog is the only major faction there!" March 7th explained with a cheerful smile, clearly delighted by Lumina's goddess-like appearance even when she was pretending to ponder.
"Oh, right, that planet!" Lumina nodded, acknowledging she remembered.
"Oh, that reminds me!" March 7th's eyes lit up, as if struck by a sudden thought. She quickly asked,
"Sister Lumina, as the great benefactor who helped Jarilo-VI overcome the Eternal Freeze crisis, why don't you take this opportunity to come play on Jarilo-VI with us?"
"We can also see how the place where you performed your Divine Miracle has developed!"
March 7th immediately lit up with excitement, having found the perfect way to keep Sister Lumina from leaving!
Sister Lumina had never been to Jarilo-VI before, and although she had resolved the Eternal Freeze and the Fragmentum threat, the planet likely still faced numerous challenges.
Sister Lumina can't possibly refuse this...
"I'm sorry, I will visit Jarilo-VI eventually, but not right now."
But... to March 7th's surprise, Lumina shook her head firmly.
"Ugh..." Hearing Lumina's rejection, March 7th's previously exuberant expression immediately wilted.
Seeing her disappointment, Lumina offered a brief explanation to temper her expectations: "Judging by the Belobog Restoration Project, this must be an extremely important undertaking for them."
"Although I've resolved the Eternal Freeze and the Fragmentum Creatures' influence on them, there are still numerous problems, both large and small, plaguing the planet."
"They should now focus their attention on these problems."
"If I were to visit, it would only divert their focus, allowing these issues to fester and ultimately escalate into a major catastrophe."
Lumina explained patiently to March 7th, a gentle smile gracing her lips.
While her words might sound absurd, they stemmed from Lumina's own firsthand experiences.
Initially, after saving a planet, Lumina would linger for a brief period.
Though this stay was short, it invariably created a host of problems.
The vast majority of the rescued people came to worship Lumina as a deity. Ignoring all obstacles, their sole purpose in life became to meet her just once.
Anyone who dared dissuade such behavior was immediately branded as disloyal to Lumina and subjected to public scorn.
Coupled with the fact that the aftermath of the catastrophe left many things in a precarious state... within mere days, society would collapse, plunging into yet another crisis.
Lumina wouldn't intervene in such crises... because these were man-made disasters, not natural calamities.
Having experienced this pattern repeatedly, after saving a planet, Lumina never lingered longer than necessary to avoid causing further complications.
The same applied to Jarilo-VI and Belobog.
While the people of planets featured in the Main Story were generally of decent character, Lumina refused to gamble.
She would only consider visiting Jarilo-VI once the planet's precarious state had stabilized.
"I see..." Hearing Lumina's explanation, March 7th seemed slightly relieved, but waves of disappointment and melancholy still washed over her.
Seeing this, Lumina gently placed her palm on March 7th's head and ruffled her hair, murmuring softly, "There's no need to be disappointed. No matter what happens now, we're bound to meet again on Penacony."
Lumina's gentle voice instantly soothed all the emotions in March 7th's heart.
The next time we meet, it'll probably be at the Space Station...
I wonder if Herta will invite me when Ruan Mei arrives at the Space Station?
Lumina mused to herself.
