Chapter 78 - Chapter 78: Lumina Joins Clara at the Table

"Defeat CG, defeat CG, defeat CG..." Lumina muttered through gritted teeth, glaring at the bullet comments flooding Little Bear's live stream. "Just you wait! I'll beat you all so badly you'll question your very existence!"

The mere thought of these little punks fantasizing about defeating her and seeing her defeat CG filled her with cold fury. "Go dream about that in Penacony!" she scoffed inwardly, clearly incensed by their audacity.

"This... these are Mara-Struck!" Sushang, leading the way, froze at a doorway, her heart pounding at the sight of Mara-Struck bodies littering the ground behind it. Her gaze darted to a nearby black-haired girl surrounded by several Mara-Struck soldiers.

"She looks injured! We need to help her!" Without hesitation, Sushang drew her sword and charged into the fray. Dan Heng followed close behind.

Lumina and Luocha, without a second thought, calmly strode into the battle. To Sushang, Dan Heng, and the others, this was just a minor skirmish—a few Mara-Struck soldiers to dispatch.

From the player's perspective, Little Bear watched the scene unfold on the screen and immediately grew excited.

"Could it be...?"

As the screen shattered and Lumina entered combat, a surge of anticipation coursed through him.

Sure enough, four characters were now engaged in battle: Sushang, Dan Heng, Luocha, and Lumina!

"Alright, brothers, it's Lumina's second trial run!" Little Bear used up the turns of Dan Heng, Sushang, and Luocha, then waited for the enemy's turn to end before Lumina's turn finally arrived.

"I don't know if this is just part of Lumina's kit or some kind of glitch with the trial system, but her speed is ridiculously low," Little Bear grumbled, watching Lumina move at a snail's pace.

During her first trial, it had been the same—her turn only came after everyone else's.

"And even after two trials, she's still stuck with just a basic attack!" Little Bear continued to complain, staring at Lumina, who could only perform a single basic attack. "That's just plain stingy."

We understand locking her Ultimate during the trial, but why lock her Combat Skill too...?

[You're right, but that's just Lumina—forgotten in the past, and forgotten in the future.]

[Could it be that Lumina's skills simply aren't fully developed yet?]

[That's the truth! Lumina only has a basic attack; her Combat Skill and Ultimate Skill aren't ready, so they're locked.]

[Lumina and Luocha are both Imaginary Abundance characters. Luocha is confirmed for his first banner in Version 1.1, so Lumina, sharing the same Path and element, likely won't be released so soon. It'll probably be at least four or five versions later...]

[Luocha's kit is incredibly strong. I hope Lumina won't be outclassed by him when she finally arrives...]

[Lumina will likely be released before the Version 2.0 update, possibly as a countermeasure for the major update.]

Little Bear nodded in agreement as he read the comments.

Since Lumina and Luocha share the same Path and element, she wouldn't be released so soon—at least not before the Version 2.0 update.

But... Luocha's kit is so perfectly designed. If Lumina, released a year later, ends up being weaker, it'll be awkward...

He offers debuff cleansing, Skill Point generation, off-field healing, area healing, and enemy buff removal—everything a healer should have. I wonder how Lumina can possibly match Luocha's strength...

"Right now, the only thing we can say for sure is that Lumina is likely a healer who relies on Weakness Breaks," Little Bear speculated, watching Lumina's basic attack ignore all enemy weaknesses and inflict significant toughness damage. "After Lumina breaks an enemy's weakness—or even if someone else does—she restores health to the entire party."

In the game, Little Bear controlled Lumina, unleashing a dazzlingly animated basic attack that shattered the defenses of two enemies. As the attack landed, the health bars of all his party members instantly filled to full.

"I wonder if the number of weaknesses broken affects Lumina's healing output," Little Bear mused, opening Lumina's stat panel.

Meanwhile, the live stream's comment section was overflowing with unfiltered opinions:

[A healer who relies on breaking weaknesses? What's the point of that?]

[If Lumina is even half as strong as Luocha, I'll laugh myself awake every morning.]

[No need to say more—she's officially the abandoned child of this version (furious).]

[No way! How can a highly anticipated character be declared dead on arrival?]

"This basic attack might be enough to break the toughness of small mobs, but against Boss-level monsters, it'll be practically useless."

The battle continued, and when it was Lumina's turn, Little Bear discovered another critical flaw in her kit.

"Lumina's basic attack doesn't seem to reduce enemy toughness much more than other characters'..."

Little Bear continued to control Lumina, using her basic attack to deliver the final blow to the enemy.

"Hmm?" After the battle, Little Bear seemed to notice something. He clapped his hands and exclaimed, "Lumina's basic attack restores two Skill Points!"

[Restores two Skill Points! Hilarious! (Laughing while covering face)]

[A basic attack that grants two Skill Points is pretty decent. Qingque smiles gleefully. A basic attack that heals the entire team is also great, but only after breaking their toughness? That's truly comical. If it could heal without needing a toughness break, it might be acceptable. After all, toughness breaking is a joke.]

[We can only see her basic attack right now, not her Combat Skills or Ultimate Skill, but even this basic attack reveals how ridiculous she is. (Laughing in disbelief)]

[Lumina should go sit at the table with Clara. (Muffled laughter)]

"Hold on, don't jump to conclusions just yet," Little Bear quickly interjected, noticing the heated debate in the comment section. "We haven't seen her Combat Skill or Ultimate Skill yet. Maybe Lumina sacrificed basic attack strength for ridiculously powerful skills."

[Thank you for the reassurance, Streamer, but my heart is completely dead (crying).]

[Who cares about her strength? As long as she's released before Version 2.0, I'm getting her E6S5 guaranteed (happy)!]

[Exactly! Even if Lumina's strength is a bit disappointing, it won't stop me from pulling E6S5 (* ̄▽ ̄*)ブ]

[Lumina's Combat and Ultimate Skills are going to be insane! Mark my words!]

"Haha, let's hope the Planner knows what's good for them," Little Bear chuckled as the comment section calmed down.

He refocused on the game and continued advancing the story.

"..."

After observing the reaction in the comment section and reviewing the skills she had designed, Lumina fell silent.

[Could it be... does she still need a buff?]

Ultimately, Lumina reached this conclusion...
