Chapter 83 - Chapter 83

The celebration continued as the dance floor slowly filled with people eager to move with the rhythm of the music.

"Karin, may I have this dance?" Cleven asked, offering his hand with a gentle smile.

Karin hesitated for a moment, his eyes drifting toward the priest who was quietly watching from the corner.

"Go, Karin. Don't mind them," Velzra encouraged, giving him a small push with a wink.

Karin took a deep breath and finally placed his hand in Cleven's.

"Let's go as well, babe," Venn whispered softly, brushing his fingers against Velzra's.

"Alright, come on guys! Let's enjoy the night," Velzra grinned, rising from the table and motioning for the rest to join them.

"Let's go…" Clara said excitedly, tugging on Keith's hand. He chuckled and followed without resistance.

One by one, they all stepped onto the dance floor, laughter mixing with the melody as they lost themselves in the moment.

"Gab, let's go," Cassian said warmly, reaching out his hand.

Gab looked up, a soft smile forming as he took it without hesitation. He didn't need to think twice, being with Cassian made him feel safe.

Together, they all danced under the glowing chandeliers, the night alive with music, joy, and the quiet warmth of love in all its forms.

They all didn't care, even with the Temple people watching them closely.

"It looks like the Duke of the West also engages in sodomy," one of the old priests whispered bitterly.

"And Prince Cleven as well," another muttered with disapproval.

Desmond sipped his wine slowly, eyes fixed on the lively dance floor.

"This place seems to be filled with those indulging in the sinful act," the old priest hissed. "We must inform the Great Pope."

"This will be difficult for the King," another priest added, worry creeping into his tone. "Such acts are strictly condemned by the Temple…and by the people of Seravelle."

Desmond exhaled deeply, setting down his glass. "And yet… it seems they are accepted here," he said, not with anger, but with a quiet, troubled curiosity.

"Let's go dance, my love," Luren whispered to Craige. He could tell Craige was in a sour mood, but after a moment, Craige gave a small nod and took his hand.

"Come on, kids… let's dance," Luren called gently to the three children who were slumped in their seats, clearly bored.

"Can we?" Codie asked, eyes lighting up with excitement.

"Yes, you can, come on!" Craige said, his tone softening.

"Yehey! Let's go, Claren!" Faye cheered, grabbing Claren and Codie by the hands.

The three children ran happily to the center of the dance floor, their laughter rising above the music.

"Let's go, husband," Arabelle grinned, tugging Matthew along with her as they joined the others.

As they swayed gently to the rhythm, Luren leaned in and asked softly, "Are you okay?"

Craige's eyes remained fixed on the crowd for a moment before he answered, his voice low and tense. "Is that Archbishop the man who saved you?"

"Yes," Luren replied, nodding. "He's the one I told you about… I didn't even know he was a priest. I thought he was a knight, he's so

skilled with a sword."

Craige's jaw tightened slightly. "He was a Knight of the Temple… before he became an Archbishop."

Luren watched him closely, noticing the flicker of unease in Craige's expression. He gently squeezed his hand. "He helped me, Craige. That's all."

Craige didn't respond right away, but his grip around Luren's waist grew just a little firmer

"You think they will approve of us?" Luren asked softly, sadness clouding his eyes.

"Baby… we don't need anyone's approval," Craige said with quiet determination, his gaze steady and full of love.

Luren smiled, the heaviness in his chest lifting. Craige was right, what mattered most was that their family and friends accepted them. That was enough.

"How about we give them a show?" Luren whispered, a mischievous glint flashing in his eyes.

Craige raised a brow in confusion, until Luren suddenly wrapped his arms around his neck and kissed him, boldly, fiercely.

Craige's eyes widened, but then he smiled against Luren's lips, pulling him closer as he deepened the kiss, one hand gently caressing Luren's back.

Across the hall, Cassian caught sight of them and smirked. Without a second thought, he pulled Gab into his arms and kissed him just as passionately.

The atmosphere shifted in an instant. One by one, other couples on the dance floor followed, inspired by the wave of love and defiance. Laughter bubbled, and even those seated looked on in surprise, smiles blooming on blushing faces at the sudden display of affection.

Rolen, Roan, and Ione, acting quickly, scooped up the kids and covered their eyes.

"Come on, time for dessert!" Roan announced cheerfully, dragging them away toward the kitchen and its awaiting sweets, shielding them from the steamy scene.

"Oh my goodness!" gasped an old priest, his wrinkled hand pressed over his mouth in shock.

"They've gone mad," the other priest muttered, scandalized.

Desmond remained silent, eyes fixed on the dance floor, his wine swirling gently in his glass. His gaze lingered on Luren, so radiant, so captivating. His jaw clenched as Craige pulled Luren closer, their bodies flush, Craige's hand stroking down Luren's back with intimate care.

A dark shadow passed over Desmond's face.

He had known the moment he laid eyes on Luren, this man was dangerous, not because of power… but because of the way he could make someone feel.

"Make sure this incident is printed in tomorrow's newspaper," the old priest said sternly to the journalist they had brought, one who disguised himself as a man of the cloth.

"Yes... This is going to be the talk of the town," the journalist replied with a sly grin, his eyes gleaming with excitement and

malice.

Karin was stunned when Cleven suddenly kissed him. His eyes widened in shock, but as he looked around, he realized the others were also swept up in the moment, lips meeting lips across the room. He wanted to resist, to pull away, but his body betrayed him. Almost instinctively, his arms wrapped

around Cleven's neck, and his lips parted, allowing Cleven's kiss to deepen. Their mouths moved in sync, sharing a passionate, breath-stealing kiss that

made the world around them disappear.
