Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 — The Twilight Market

Chapter 5 — The Twilight Market

---

Tokyo's red-light district never truly sleeps.

But there is a time—just past 3 a.m.—when everything feels... wrong.

The neon flickers like it's breathing.

The air tastes like metal and perfume.

And if you're cursed enough, you'll see it:

> A narrow alley between a love hotel and a dead sushi bar, lit by a single red lantern that never goes out.

Yuuto found it.

The sigil on his chest pulsed like a second heartbeat, guiding him.

He stepped through.

---

Welcome to the Twilight Market

A place outside reality.

Where cursed girls offer more than love, and cursed men come to lose what's left of their soul.

There were booths selling phantom kisses, spirits sealed in lingerie, vials of "first moans," and succubi bound in glass, begging for release.

Yuuto walked in, and every cursed vendor turned to stare.

They saw the sigil.

They knew he had marked two.

> "That boy has touched the Unkissed…" one whispered.

> "And lived the Possessed…" another hissed.

> "He's either her heir…"

"Or her next toy."

---

A voice cut through the crowd—smooth, sweet, and soaked in sadness.

> "You don't belong here, boy. But you came anyway."

He turned.

And saw her.

---

Meet: Sayuri Hanakawa — The Blind Courtesan

Age: Unknown

Wears a crimson kimono that never opens fully—but seems to whisper beneath the folds.

Blind since birth. But her hands can taste memories through skin.

Once a high priestess of a love temple, she was cursed for knowing too much pleasure.

Now bound to the market as the First Veil—the gatekeeper to the deeper truths.

---

Sayuri sat on a velvet chaise, her eyes covered by a silk ribbon.

She extended her hand, elegant, trembling.

> "Let me touch your cheek. Let me taste what you've done."

Yuuto hesitated.

> "What happens if I let you?"

> "You'll see what you are," she said softly. "And I'll see what you could become."

He knelt.

Her hand brushed his skin.

---

FLASH.

Sayuri gasped.

> "You kissed the silver flame...

You made the demon maiden moan...

But you're still human… barely."

Her hand slipped down to his neck. Her breath trembled.

> "She marked you for her own… but you don't want to be owned, do you?"

Yuuto whispered, "No."

> "Then come back tonight. Deeper. Past the gates of lust. I'll show you the Second Veil."

> "But next time… I'll need more than your cheek."

She leaned in. Her lips brushed his ear.

> "I'll need your memory.

Your pain.

And a drop of your seed."

---

Yuuto stood, breathless, aroused, and terrified.

Sayuri was already retreating into smoke, vanishing behind a curtain made of sighs.

---

Back outside, the real Tokyo felt colder now.

But something had changed.

He no longer just felt lust. He felt pull.

The curse was growing.

And so was his need.

---

Meanwhile…

Aika stood in an abandoned subway, carving a seal into the wall with her fingernail.

Rin sat behind her, still flushed from the encounter.

> "He went to the Market," Aika said quietly.

> "He'll go deeper now."

Rin touched her lips, remembering his taste.

> "And when he reaches the Seventh Veil…?"

Aika's eyes glowed.

> "Either he saves us all…

Or he becomes the Queen's king."
