Chapter 395 - Chapter 395: [The Chosen Race: Eldrazi]

With the general layout of the Crimson Heaven now established...

According to the knowledge Orsaga had acquired, every Chaos God possessed a race of loyal followers—distinct branches of Warp demons unique to each Gods.

Naturally, Orsaga needed to create his own.

Fortunately, he was more than up to the task. After all, he had long been an expert in biological experimentation.

If it weren't for the fact that all relevant divine domains had already been claimed by Nurgle, it would be hard to say exactly what kind of god Orsaga might have become.

Casually, Orsaga extended one hand.

Scalding-hot crimson blood began to flow freely from his palm.

The sheer heat it radiated left burn marks in space itself.

As the blood turned into a fine rain, it seeped into the mountain, the land, and the blood sea of the Crimson Heaven...

Simultaneously, Orsaga siphoned vast quantities of negative energy from across the Warp, infusing it into the blood as a power source.

Soon after—

Massive blood-red eggs, varying greatly in size, began to appear across his domain.

Among them were three especially colossal eggs, many times larger than the rest.

It wasn't long before, under Orsaga's constant energy infusion—

With a series of sickening tears, the eggs began to split open one by one, giving birth to a swarm of twisted, alien creatures.

At first, they were small and their energy signatures faint. But as they absorbed energy from the surroundings, their bodies rapidly swelled in size—like balloons being pumped full.

Before long—

They all prostrated themselves before their creator, Orsaga, offering their most profound reverence.

The most eye-catching were the three hatched from the largest eggs.

They shared one feature in common: their size was utterly titanic, like walking mountains.

Though each had a distinct upper body, all three had tentacle-like lower limbs.

The strongest among them was born with power that nearly reached the rank of a Greater Demon.

Its upper half resembled a grotesquely mutated jellyfish, while its lower half writhed with endless tendrils. Pressing its body to the ground, it used its vocal organs to emit a reverent, low-frequency call:

"O Great Creator, please grant our species a name and a purpose…"

For these newly born beings, nothing was more sacred than this moment.

Unsurprised by the request, Orsaga thought for a moment and then declared:

"Eldrazi. From this day forward, your race shall be called the Eldrazi. Your mission is to serve as my apostles—spread terror, bring destruction, sow belief... accomplish whatever I require of you!"

He pointed at the most powerful of the Eldrazi:

"You shall be called Emrakul!"

Then, pointing at the other two, he named them:

"You—Ulamog! And you—Kozilek! From now on, the three of you will serve as the commanders of the Eldrazi. You will oversee all matters of your kind."

Upon hearing their creator's decree, the prostrate Eldrazi let out ecstatic cries:

"As you command! Your will is our only law!"

With their pledge, a flawless crimson light burst forth from Orsaga's form.

Amidst glowing halos of sacred radiance, Orsaga engraved various innate magical talents into the bloodlines and souls of the Eldrazi.

From that moment on, every Eldrazi would be born with a set of core abilities:

Corrupt Matter

Devour and Evolve

Hyper Regeneration

Control Over Space-Time

Pactbinding

Aberration Adaptation

Hive Bloodline

Beyond these standard powers, each Eldrazi would also selectively awaken new abilities as their strength increased—branching into diverse subspecies.

Some examples included:

Radiant-Type Eldrazi

Cultivator-Type Eldrazi

Martial Monk-Type Eldrazi

Techno-Mutant Eldrazi

Half-Mechanical Eldrazi...

More importantly, much like Aeon, the Eldrazi were, in essence, extensions of Orsaga himself—like the roots of a vast tree.

Even if an Eldrazi were to die completely, as long as Orsaga—their source—remained alive, they could be fully resurrected through his will.

Of course, unlike the Aeon, which was effectively equal to avatars of Orsaga, the Eldrazi were of lesser weight in the grand scheme of things.

He would only bother reviving the ones he found useful or likable. As for the disposable ones? Let them stay dead.

Still, that didn't mean they were without options.

Many of the innate abilities Orsaga had granted them came with built-in resurrection mechanisms.

For example:

Flesh Rebirth

blood Revival

With enough power, they could resurrect themselves—cycling through multiple resurrection-type abilities on cooldown, ensuring they stayed alive through sheer redundancy.

And within their inherited memories, Orsaga had stuffed an absurd amount of spellcraft and incantations—including numerous revival spells.

Each Eldrazi had hundreds of potential resurrection chances at their fingertips—it was almost effortless.

After all, Orsaga had always been quite generous with his own troops.

He didn't mind equipping them with trump cards pulled straight from his deepest reserves.

So in truth, having Orsaga personally resurrect one of them would only occur if they were truly beyond saving by other means.

With the establishment of the Crimson Heaven, and the birth of the Eldrazi, the number of calamity-level factions in the Warp ticked up once again.

In just a few short days, countless unfortunate souls had already fallen victim—either devoured or enslaved by the Eldrazi as their first offerings.

It was at this point that the Eldrazi finally began to display the terrifying powers granted to them by Orsaga.

Even the likes of Khorne, Nurgle, and Tzeentch took notice.

Among their many terrifying gifts, one stood out above the rest: Hive Bloodline.

The Eldrazi could consume any matter or energy they deemed edible, using it to reproduce subordinate creatures known as Eldrazi Thralls.

Sometimes, they would directly split off Hives, which in turn would mass-produce more Thralls to support them in battle.

These Eldrazi Thralls came in all shapes and sizes, each boasting impressive power in its own right.

Given the right conditions, the Thralls could even fuse with different energies, substances, or spells, evolving into specialized Eldrazi Variants with unique functions—vastly expanding the tactical diversity of Eldrazi armies.

In a way, every Eldrazi was like a mobile fortress-factory:

They could corrupt terrain, lifeforms, and energy around them—shaping the environment into an arena suited for themselves.

With hyper-regeneration and space-time manipulation, they could enter and exit battlefields at will.

Through constant consumption and assimilation, they could boost their own production limits—unlocking stronger Thralls.

And as long as the conditions were met—

They could spawn entire armies single-handedly!

The information engraved in their blood and soul acted as a complete skill tree—all they had to do was follow it.

This was the exclusive legion Orsaga had forged for himself:

A special race of followers capable of endless expansion, a snowballing force that could grow without limit.
