After listening to all of Apollonia’s plans, Uriel fell silent for a while, but eventually, he broke the silence and asked, “Is that truly what you desire, Your Highness?”
“Yes.”
“Will that… will doing that truly bring you happiness?” he asked once again.
Happiness… wasn’t something that Apollonia really thought about. Survival, victory, revenge—maybe these were the terms in her mind. Still, he wasn’t entirely wrong.
“Yes.”
Upon hearing her response, Uriel nodded slowly.
“Then I’ll follow your orders, but…” He stepped closer to Apollonia, so close that his chin nearly brushed against her forehead, causing his heart to race.
Apollonia attempted to take a step back, but when she gazed into his eyes, she found herself unable to move.
