Chapter 367: Jimmy Makes His Move

In the past, Frank had never worried about what would happen after his death.

Based on what he knew about Walter and Pinkman, neither of them would ever mistreat his kids.

If anything, his real concern had been whether the two of them could hold Heisenberg together—whether the whole operation would collapse the moment he was gone.

But after realizing how much Walter had changed… Frank's thinking changed too.

Once, he and Walter had been kindred spirits—men in the same situation, who understood each other completely. You could even call them close.

But when Frank tried to shut down Heisenberg and asked for the Blue Angel formula, Walter refused without hesitation.

That was when the crack formed between them.

And now, Frank could already see the future.

Once he was gone, a fully matured Walter would take absolute control of Heisenberg.

And in doing so… he would erase Frank's presence.

Including reclaiming the one-third share that rightfully belonged to him.

The empire Frank had built with his own hands—

just handed over, like fruit picked by someone else.

How could he accept that?

So Frank made a decision.

He would place his own person inside Heisenberg.

Logically, that person should be someone he trusted completely.

But after going through everyone around him—Kevin, Sammi, and the rest—none of them were suitable.

Only Jimmy… barely met the criteria.

Jimmy was clever. Street-smart. He understood how things worked in the gray areas of society. He wouldn't be easily taken advantage of.

As for trust—his relationship with Fiona was the anchor.

And truthfully, Frank had already considered bringing Jimmy into Heisenberg before Pinkman ever talked about leaving.

Back then, the goal had been simple:

To keep Heisenberg from collapsing after his death.

But now, the purpose had changed.

Now, Jimmy's role would be to balance Walter—to represent Frank's interests within Heisenberg.

Of course, Frank still hadn't told Jimmy the truth.

What Jimmy knew was no different from what Goodman knew—fragments, surface-level information.

The full truth would only be revealed after Frank's death.

It was already written into his will.

Telling Jimmy everything now would only cause trouble.

Frank had never doubted Jimmy's ability to mess things up.

At one point, Frank had even considered pushing things further—

having Jimmy marry Fiona.

That way, their interests would be truly bound together.

There was a reason powerful families and even nations had relied on marriage alliances for thousands of years.

It worked.

It was the most proven method of binding interests.

Back when Frank had dealt with Nando's situation—forcing Jimmy's divorce and letting Officer Tony step in—this idea had already begun to take shape.

The plan had been simple:

Jimmy joins Heisenberg → keeps the operation running

Jimmy marries Fiona → ties everything together

Jimmy works. Fiona collects.

Jimmy becomes the tool.

That had been Frank's original plan.

But after subtly probing both Jimmy and Fiona, he realized neither of them took marriage seriously.

So he dropped the idea.

No matter the benefits, he wouldn't force his children into it.

Then Pinkman's sudden exit disrupted everything.

But now… after everything that had happened—

the "tool plan" could be put back on the table.

That very night, after Frank spoke with Jimmy, he and Fiona had a massive argument.

Jimmy was thrown out.

The next day, he came back to see her again—but things ended just as badly.

And this time, Jimmy didn't try to apologize again.

By that very afternoon, he was already in New Mexico.

Fiona wasn't going anywhere—he could always come back and smooth things over.

But an opportunity like Heisenberg?

That only came once.

Between Fiona and Heisenberg—

Jimmy chose Heisenberg.

Frank could only shake his head and sigh.

After arriving in New Mexico, Jimmy found… nothing.

No one came to meet him.

Left with no choice, he checked into a motel and called Frank.

"Are you even reliable?" Jimmy complained. "I'm here, and there's not even anyone to pick me up."

"Did you call the number I gave you?" Frank asked.

"I did. They just told me to wait for instructions and hung up."

"Then wait," Frank said simply—and hung up.

"…Damn it!"

Jimmy stared at the dead line, cursing under his breath.

He waited until nightfall.

Then, suddenly—his phone rang.

"Hello?!" Jimmy jolted, crushing his cigarette into an already overflowing ashtray as he hurriedly picked up.

"Come to this address."

The voice on the other end was distorted—hoarse, neither male nor female, clearly altered by a voice changer.

An address was given.

Then the line went dead.

Jimmy followed the instructions. When he arrived, he found a cargo truck sitting alone on a deserted stretch of road.

He didn't approach it immediately.

Instead, he circled the truck once, cautious, scanning the surroundings.

Ring—!

The sudden sound made him jump.

He instinctively reached for his pocket—then realized the ringing wasn't coming from his own phone.

Following the sound, he traced it to the driver's seat.

Inside, a phone buzzed quietly.

Jimmy opened the door and picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Drive," the voice said.

Less than thirty seconds later, the call ended.

Jimmy pulled out the SIM card, tossed it into a nearby drain, snapped the burner phone in half, and threw it into the trash.

"…I'll just take a look. Should be fine…" he muttered, glancing around nervously, half-convinced someone was watching him from the shadows.

He hesitated.

But in the end, curiosity won.

Carefully, he opened the back of the truck.

"…Holy—"

His pupils shrank as he sucked in a sharp breath.

Blue Angel.

Bag after bag after bag.

Jimmy had seen Blue Angel before. On the street, it was rare—worth a fortune—but he had his ways of getting a glimpse.

But this?

He had never seen this much.

Steadying himself, he quickly estimated—just from a glance, there had to be dozens of kilos inside.

Maybe even over a hundred.

He did the math in his head.

The value of this shipment…

Easily in the millions.

No wonder he was stunned.

The translucent bags shimmered faintly, like countless blue gemstones packed together—beautiful, hypnotic…

and dangerously tempting.

For a brief moment, a thought crept into his mind—

If he took it all…

he'd be rich overnight.
