Chapter 76: The Affair
A few days after Frank's initial visit to repair Mrs. Candace's plumbing, he received another call from her, claiming the pipes were broken again and requesting his assistance.
Initially, Frank was hesitant to accept, but Mrs. Candace's persistent charm and generous tips gave him the feeling of being a kept man. Plus, Frank found himself drawn back to her, intrigued by the thrill.
The allure of Mrs. Candace was entirely different from what he felt with Sheila. While Sheila had a voluptuous figure that many men found irresistible, she also had a penchant for adventurous activities, including mild S&M, and she was dominant. This often left Frank on edge, wary of her intentions.
Sheila's collection of "toys" often filled Frank with trepidation.
In contrast, Mrs. Candace's petite frame made her appear much younger, almost like a woman in her thirties. Her skin was exceptionally smooth and flawless, unlike the often coarser texture associated with European women. Her beauty was captivating.
Unlike Sheila, Mrs. Candace had no interest in adventurous exploits, allowing Frank to relax and enjoy their encounters without fear.
Both women, however, shared the same voracious appetite, which might overwhelm most men.
But not Frank—despite being in his fifties, he still had the vigor of a younger man. His stamina and experience made both women eager for more, with Sheila remaining infatuated and Mrs. Candace frequently reaching out.
After much deliberation, Frank succumbed to his desires and returned Mrs. Candace's calls.
He always timed his visits to avoid her son, Jimmy. Mrs. Candace seemed to understand the need for discretion, ensuring Jimmy was out whenever Frank came over.
"Why don't you visit your father at the hospital and check on your brother?" Mrs. Candace suggested to Jimmy.
"Sure. Do you need me to bring anything back?" Jimmy asked, slightly puzzled by his mother's frequent requests for him to leave.
Jimmy found it odd that his mother often sent him out, but he didn't mind. It gave him a chance to see Fiona, without needing to concoct an excuse to leave home.
Watching from his car as Jimmy drove off, Frank donned a cap and assumed the guise of a repairman, knocking on the door.
No sooner had he knocked than the door opened, a delicate hand pulling him inside.
What followed was an intense encounter, a passionate journey from the front hallway to the upstairs bedroom, leaving traces of their activities throughout the house.
Afterward, Mrs. Candace lay languidly in Frank's arms, like a contented cat.
"Are you really a repairman?" she asked, lighting a cigarette.
"What do you think?" Frank replied, taking a drag from her cigarette and exhaling a cloud of smoke.
"I called the repair company. They don't have anyone named Frank, and their repairman was turned away from my house," Mrs. Candace observed.
After Frank's previous visit, she had tried to reach him through the company, only to discover no employee by that name existed and that the real repairman had never shown up.
Thus, Frank's cover was blown, and it was evident he'd intercepted the actual repairman.
However, Mrs. Candace was puzzled about Frank's true intentions.
She had checked her valuables, and nothing was missing—not even a silver spoon. This confirmed Frank wasn't a thief.
Could he have been there for her?
That didn't make sense either, as it was Mrs. Candace who had seduced Frank, not the other way around.
So, she remained uncertain about his motives.
Ordinarily, such circumstances would have prompted Mrs. Candace to distance herself from Frank, if not report him.
Yet, despite knowing he was hiding something, she couldn't resist reaching out to him.
Just as Frank was drawn to her, Mrs. Candace found herself equally entranced and unable to break away.
Similar to Sheila, Mrs. Candace had been without intimacy for a long time. Her husband was often absent and, even when home, showed little interest. Their time in bed was strictly for sleeping, a routine that had persisted for years.
Thus, when Mrs. Candace encountered the rugged Frank, she was compelled to act, and Frank did not disappoint.
Blessed with natural talents and a wealth of experience from the previous "Frank's" life—having seen it all and been with countless women—Frank was more than capable of satisfying Mrs. Candace.
Though the previous "Frank" had left him with numerous messes to clean up, he had also passed on his skills and expertise, one of the few "inheritances" Frank had received.
Frank's prowess and finesse left Mrs. Candace yearning for more. Despite knowing he was trouble, she couldn't help but call him back for "repairs."
Moreover, Mrs. Candace suffered from insomnia and often relied on medication and alcohol to cope. After her encounters with Frank, she found herself falling into the most restful sleep she'd had in years, her symptoms significantly alleviated.
