"Here we are!"
After getting off the suspended magnetic train, the group transferred to two buses and finally reached their destination.
Upon entering the resort area, after glancing at their reserved room and feeling quite satisfied, the group planned to have a meal together.
It wasn't until the afternoon that they officially started to relax.
Yun and Eevee stepped onto the sand, and the soft, comfortable feeling instantly spread through their bodies and minds.
"How do you feel, Eevee?"
Barefoot on the perfectly warm sand, Yun took a deep breath, instantly feeling refreshed...
The sea was deep blue, the sky was clear blue, and the gentle sea breeze brushed past, instantly relaxing Yun. Most importantly, there was a group of big sisters in swimsuits nearby.
"Bui bui~~"
Eevee kept rolling on the sand, because it was its first time at the beach, everything felt especially fresh.
Not just Yun and the others, the beach was filled with many trainers and Pokémon.
Staryu, Seel, Slowpoke, Skiploom, Psyduck, Dratini… all kinds of Pokémon were there.
Wait...
Dratini?
Such luxury.
Besides that, there were many adults and children on the beach. Some kids held small buckets digging for stones, some rolled up their sleeves to splash water at each other in a water fight, some held swim rings preparing to swim, and some were building sandcastles!
When Eevee saw another Eevee building a sandcastle, it immediately imitated it, using its two small paws to stir the sand around. Interestingly, Eevee learned quickly; although it was the first time, the castle it built actually looked quite decent.
"Not bad."
Sitting down beside Eevee, Yun watched it focus. To be honest, Eevee's sandcastle looked much better to Yun than the one the other Eevee was building.
After a while, Yun realized that the sandcastle Eevee built was actually modeled after a building from a movie they watched yesterday... So this little guy actually remembered it.
After finishing, Eevee compared its work with others. This comparison made Eevee very proud. It blinked its eyes looking around, then lowered its head to inspect, raising its chin high, clearly satisfied with its masterpiece.
But when Eevee glanced around again, it accidentally noticed a Pokémon and a girl also playing with sand and showed a hesitant expression.
It was a Sandslash, whose palace it was building was obviously more magnificent and grand. Eevee looked suspiciously at its own castle. Yun followed Eevee's gaze and saw the ground-type Pokémon opposite. In terms of sandcastle building, Eevee was no match — which was understandable.
But what Yun didn't expect was that Eevee, after thinking for a moment, directly pawed down the sandcastle and started rebuilding it, seemingly determined to create something even more spectacular than the one opposite.
"Bui bui!!"
While building, Eevee told Yun to wait a moment. Seeing Eevee's serious expression, Yun grinned. How had he not noticed before that this little guy was so competitive?
Building sandcastles with sand — such a simple game — was the first time Eevee showed such seriousness. Yun was happy to see Eevee focus and didn't rush to do anything else. He quietly stayed beside Eevee, watching it push the sand and perfect the castle.
Meanwhile, the psychology club members regrouped after wandering around and found Yun, saying, "We checked, and the surfing pool isn't crowded. Let's go there first."
"Eh... what are you guys doing? Building sandcastles?"
"Yeah... Eevee seems quite interested. Sorry, why don't you guys go ahead? I'll stay here with it." Yun clasped his hands apologetically.
Lu Jie said, "It's fine. Building sandcastles is fun too. How about a competition to see whose Pokémon builds the best?"
Tang Ying agreed, "Sure."
After Meng Zicheng and Du Ai accepted the suggestion, their Pokémon immediately looked at Eevee eagerly, ready to compete.
With permission granted, their Pokémon moved — Meowth, Gigantamax Onix, Gloom, and Crobat all rushed to the beach...
After a round of competition, Gigantamax Onix and Meng Zicheng's work was the most exquisite, followed by Meowth and Tang Ying's. Little Eevee ranked third, which made Eevee even more upset.
Eevee: Σ(°△°|||)︴, as if it was hit hard.
"Bui..." Little Eevee sadly compared again, then looked at the Sandslash's sand palace. Even now, it was still the most magnificent.
It seemed like Eevee was actually in fourth place...
"Ha ha ha..." Yun rubbed Eevee's head and said, "It's okay. Tomorrow during free time, I'll bring you here again. Let's aim to get better and better."
"Bui..." Little Eevee nodded.
Yun sighed in relief. Luckily, Eevee was sensible.
After this, everyone headed to the water park to play.
However, Yun had already decided to bring Eevee back tomorrow. Since Eevee wanted to seriously do something well, Yun, as its trainer, felt he had no reason not to support it. Just like parents support their children's choices, he wanted to support little Eevee.
Even if it was just building sandcastles, Eevee had to be happy and feel a sense of accomplishment.
Luckily, the group planned to split up for free time tomorrow, which gave Yun and Eevee a chance to be alone.
At the water park, everyone played wildly, and the thrilling rides helped Eevee temporarily divert its mind.
But the crazy fun didn't make Eevee forget about the sandcastle. The next morning, little Eevee woke even earlier than Yun.
The little guy hurriedly patted Yun's face, making a confident expression, calling "Bui bui" as if reminding Yun of their promise.
"All right, all right."
Yun lay in bed and carefully took Eevee off his face, yawning sleepily.
"Don't worry, I'll spend the whole day with you today," Yun said.
A wonderful free day awaited. Although his senior invited him to play elsewhere, Yun politely declined for Eevee's sake.
A senior is precious, but free time is more valuable. For Eevee, both could be set aside!
Since it was still early, the outside temperature wasn't as hot as yesterday, and the sand felt cool underfoot. This didn't affect little Eevee's enthusiasm. After reaching the spot from yesterday, it started building again without a word.
Building those magnificent structures from the movie with sand.
Yun noticed Eevee's memory was really good; the details of those buildings were very clear to it. Yun felt a little inferior.
"Bui bui!" Soon, Eevee finished again. But when it recalled the Sandslash's palace from yesterday, it immediately shook its head in dissatisfaction and pawed it down again.
"Keep it up, take your time," Yun encouraged.
Eevee showed a determined expression.
Time passed slowly.
One hour... two hours... three hours...
Yun was surprised. In the blink of an eye, so much time had passed, and Eevee had been working hard the whole time.
Its sandcastle had improved a lot, but compared to the Sandslash's from yesterday, there was still a gap. Yun felt a bit sorry.
By now, more people had gathered, and the temperature gradually rose. As Yun stretched, he suddenly showed a surprised look because he spotted the two girls and Sandslash group from yesterday again.
