Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 – The Man Beyond Mortality

A hundred years had passed since the world betrayed its savior.

The land above had long forgotten the name Nael. Kings rose and fell, empires crumbled, and new myths were born. But beneath the roots of the world, far below the deepest oceans and hollow earth, a silent realm pulsed with unstable energy.

There, upon a jagged cliff of floating obsidian rock, sat a man.

Shirtless. Still. Unshakable.

The darkness of the sealed dimension bent around his presence.

He was no longer the naive boy dragged into a god's war. He was a being that had surpassed every known limit—refined through endless battle and forged in betrayal.

Nael.

His body was chiseled, a masterpiece sculpted by divine fury and time itself. Eight-pack abs etched like armor. His arms were layered with coiled muscle, veins glowing faintly like molten silver. Scars—some ancient, some still glowing with power—ran down his back and shoulders like battle-born tattoos. His raven-black hair, long and wild, flowed with a faint shimmer as if kissed by stardust. His golden eyes—once filled with warmth—now burned with a quiet rage, sharp as blades.

His aura was suffocating.

The sheer pressure of it made the air ripple. His divine chains no longer looked like restraints—they looked like they were barely holding back something unstoppable.

"Still adapting to me… huh," he muttered, clenching his fist.

The divine seal was smart. Cursed. It evolved with him. Each time he trained, grew, or attempted to force his way out, the seal responded, mutating to match his power.

It was a game of endless catch-up.

Even so—Nael didn't stop. He had abandoned hope of rescue long ago.

Now, he trained not for escape.

But for vengeance.

His breath was calm, but each exhale shattered nearby rocks into dust. His fist, resting on the cliffside, had left a deep crater where he'd absentmindedly clenched it too hard.

"For one hundred years…" he whispered to himself, "I have grown. I have conquered every law in this prison. And yet, they still hold me here."

He looked up at the black sky above his prison. No stars. No moon. Only endless void.

And then…

Light.

A golden beam, unfamiliar in hue, cut through the sky like a sword, blinding and pure. It wasn't divine light—it felt alien. Colder. Older. Deeper.

Nael immediately stood, eyes narrowed.

"No way… again?"

The light slammed into the cliffside in front of him, shaking the realm. But it didn't harm him.

Instead, a small cube floated up from the glow—transparent, flickering with symbols from countless languages.

Then, a chime.[SYSTEM INSTALLATION COMPLETE.]

He knew this trick. The gods had once given him a system—a divine interface to guide him, only to strip it away the moment he outgrew their control.

"Don't mock me," he growled, voice filled with venom. "Is this your new game? Are you going to take this one away too?"[This system is not from the gods.]The interface shimmered, then shifted into a different color—an eerie violet edged with void-black runes.[Origin: BEYOND.]
