"Kaito! Don't talk nonsense!" Hiruzen Sarutobi roared, his expression darkening with fury.
"Heh… You know whether I'm speaking nonsense or not," Kaito sneered. He turned to Danzo, narrowing his eyes. "With the way you're dressed, I have to ask—did you transplant the First Hokage's cells and the Sharingan from the Uchiha clan?"
Danzo's face drained of color. Panic flashed in his eyes. He hadn't grafted Hashirama's cells, but he had indeed taken several Sharingan from fallen Uchiha. How did Kaito know that?
He knew too much—far more than he should. There were no more secrets between them.
"Let Danzo go!" Hiruzen snapped, his voice cold and unwavering. "Or don't blame me for forgetting you're a descendant of the Senju clan!"
"What, just because you evacuated the civilians to the shelters, you think you have the right to talk down to me?" Kaito chuckled darkly. "Let's see what the four of you scheming rats are really made of."
And without another word, he tightened his grip and snapped Danzo's neck—then threw his lifeless body toward Hiruzen like discarded trash.
Hiruzen caught the corpse in shock. His fingers trembled as he checked for a pulse—nothing. His face burned red, fury and disbelief swelling inside him.
"You… You actually killed Danzo! In the name of the Hokage, I won't let this go!"
"You're quite something, Kaito!" Koharu Utatane screamed. "What are you all waiting for? Kill him!"
Kaito's gaze sharpened. "You all better think carefully. This is between my Senju clan and these four old parasites. Are you sure you want to get involved?"
His voice carried a quiet intensity. Every clan leader in the crowd felt it—an oppressive force crashing over them like a tidal wave. Then came the surge of chakra, unfurling like a thunderstorm across all of Konoha.
Buzz!
Buildings, flowers, and trees began crackling and shifting, morphing into black-and-white lightning. In seconds, the entire Hidden Leaf was transformed into a domain of thunder.
"I'm giving you ten minutes," Kaito said calmly. "For ten minutes, this minefield will mimic the original buildings. After that, anyone left will become part of the thunder itself."
His voice echoed through every street and alley of the village.
Inside their homes, terrified villagers watched helplessly as their surroundings disintegrated into lightning.
Among the first to act was Uchiha Fugaku.
"All Uchiha shinobi, evacuate with your families now! Leave Konoha!" he ordered sharply, face grim. He could sense the immense, destructive power behind Kaito's chakra.
Kaito remained unfazed, surveying the gathering crowd with a slight smile. "Come. Show me the strength of the so-called strongest village in the ninja world."
Hiruzen's stomach twisted in dread. He'd known Kaito possessed a large-scale jutsu like this, but not its extent. The thunder zone stretched across all of Konoha—if he couldn't stop this, the entire village could be wiped off the map.
"What do you want?" Hiruzen finally shouted, trying to keep his composure.
"I already told you," Kaito said quietly. "The four of you are the reason the Senju are gone. I want you erased. That's the only way their souls will rest."
"Impossible!" Koharu snapped.
Whoosh!
Kaito moved like a blur, dragging Koharu by the collar before slamming her into the ground. His foot came down on her head, pinning her in place.
"You dare to speak?" he growled. "If the Second Hokage hadn't taken you in as a disciple, do you really think you'd be standing here today?"
He raised his hand, lightning crackling and crawling across the ground toward Koharu.
"This isn't ordinary lightning," Kaito warned. "Try anything, and you'll die where you stand."
"You… you monster!" she whispered in terror, staring at the encroaching electricity.
Suddenly—
"Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet!"
"Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet!"
"Combined Style: Earth Dragon Flame Wave!"
Hiruzen had launched his counterattack. An earth dragon and a fire dragon spiraled through the air, merging mid-flight into a flaming earthen beast that roared toward Kaito.
Simultaneously, over two hundred Anbu broke formation and rushed him.
"You don't get it." Kaito's tone was laced with disdain. With a single wave of his hand, the thunder domain surged.
Thousands of lightning spears arced through the air. Before most of the Anbu could even register what was happening, they were struck—burned to ash in midair.
Others were devoured by gaping maws of energy forming from the thunder domain below, never to be seen again.
As for the fire-earth dragon—before it even reached Kaito, the lightning devoured it completely.
In seconds, over two hundred shinobi were dead.
The battlefield was quiet—eerily so.
Hiruzen stood paralyzed. His heart felt like it had been torn open. So many loyal ninja, gone. Just like that.
Clan leaders who had been hesitating earlier now knew better than to move. None of them dared to challenge Kaito. The cost was far too high.
"This is it?" Kaito said coldly, eyes locked on Hiruzen. "If this is all you've got, I'll make sure your family name is wiped out today."
Then he turned his gaze on the shinobi standing behind the old war hawks. "Unless, of course, you want to try and stop me."
Hiruzen clenched his teeth. "Summoning Jutsu!"
Bang!
A puff of smoke exploded beside him—and from it emerged a monkey in shinobi gear: Enma, the Monkey King.
Enma blinked, stunned by the sight of the ruined village. "Hiruzen, what the hell happened? Are we under attack?"
"No time to explain," Hiruzen barked. "Transform into the Adamantine Staff! He's no ordinary enemy!"
"Understood." Enma nodded, vanishing into a flash of light before becoming a golden staff in Hiruzen's hand.
"All shinobi of Konoha—prepare for battle!" Hiruzen roared.
His aura exploded outward. It was a display of sheer power—this was the presence of a Kage-level combatant, one who had ruled a nation for decades.
But no one stepped forward.
The clan heads looked around in silence. Their warriors stayed rooted to the ground.
No one moved.
They weren't fools. Kaito had made it clear—this battle was personal. A grudge between the Senju and the corrupt leadership of Konoha.
Besides… they'd just seen what happened to those who sided with Hiruzen.
And they weren't about to become corpses too.
