Staring at the pony tailed man before her, Luna's lips curled upwards, forming a sly smile as she chuckled while her eyes were on the tip of Li Sheng's blade.
Murmurs resounded around the two of them as the underlings of the two gang leaders were concerned about the safety of Li Sheng and was also anticipating how strong a knight was.
"Wow, do you practice your lines by looking at the mirror? That was so corny! But...very well."
Luna replied with a joke towards Li Sheng's words, and looked at him as if he was nothing but just a cute puppy. Li Sheng, meanwhile ignored her words and just prepared for combat.
Taking up an unorthodox stance with the sword, Li Sheng circled around Luna to prepare. He had a glare on his eyes while he was circling Luna as he also growled at her.
"Draw your sword, woman."
Li Sheng was pertaining to the other sword hanging by Luna's waist. It was the twin of the sword that Li Sheng was currently holding.
Staring at Li Sheng's face and glancing at the other sword on her waist, Luna chuckled with a shrug.
She shook her head as she then took up a stance but instead of a sword, She just raised her fist which made Li Sheng and the surrounding be astonished at her actions.
"I don't hunt insects with a sword, Come. Fight me"
Luna taunted him with a chuckle which made Li Sheng turn red in fury as he lashed out at her while wielding the sword.
This was Li Sheng's first time holding a sword or wielding one, that is why when he lashed out at her...his movements were so big that Luna could see a lot of opening.
When he hacked his sword at her, Luna just zoomed closer and deliver a palm strike towards Li Sheng unguarded torso and sent him flying a few meters back.
Li Sheng crashed onto a pile of scraps as he was sent flying, and Luna who did that to him just smiled as she watch him struggle to get up.
"Wow~ you endured that blow~ I thought insects die with a single blow. Alright! Your status has been upgraded to Tough Insect!"
She chuckled as Li Sheng stumbled while he was getting up. He felt very dizzy and wondered what just happened, but he did not lose sight of his goal. Beat the arrogant woman infront of him.
Taking up a stance again once he regained his stability, Li Sheng tried to rush forward towards Luna again. He tried to cut her down from the bottom with a rising slash but the movement was once again way too big that there are so many openings.
Luna just smiled at Li Sheng's determination as she once again strike Li Sheng's unguarded face with a roundhouse kick which made him stumble and have concussion.
Whistling, Luna just chuckled at the sight of Li Sheng being beaten up while the surrounding people were terrified of her. They thought of Li Sheng as a very formidable person worthy to become the King of the Slums with Levin, but oh boy they were a frog in the well. Turns out a trained knight is better than a gangster.
Once again, Li Sheng got up despite receiving that damage from Luna as he once again tried to lash out. The same thing happened over and over again, Li Sheng will lash out with a big opening and Luna will just subdue him with one single attack and he will suffer concussion.
His bruises from the fight with Levin worsened, his face has started to swell as blood started coming out of his nose. His vision had also started becoming blurry, but he still stood and glared at Luna with embers on his eyes.
Staring at that beaten up face, Luna stopped chuckling and smiling. She stared at Li Sheng very seriously and after a moment, she smiled again.
"You are brave, I admire that. But it is almost time for The Selection Ceremony to start. I must put an end to this and bring those who are of certain age to the temple"
She chuckled as Li Sheng once again lashed out towards her with the same big move once again.
'Same thing again. Too bad, that Fiery will was given to someone this weak and untalented'
Luna sighed inwardly as she prepared to strike Li Sheng's unguarded torso once again with a punch. But before her fist could connect to his stomach, Li Sheng halted his swing towards her and used the momentum of the sword swing to twist his body and deliver a spinning heel kick towards Luna's face, the same move that she had used against him in the second exchange.
Seeing that, she was surprised. She wanted to stop that attack by guarding herself but she was too late because of her extended fist, and so the heel kick connected to her face which made her look away for a moment and feel the pain.
He had intentionally gave her an opening to exploit right after exchanging blows with her for a while and then once she took the bite, he then counterattacked. He was learning.
Once the attack was done, Li Sheng chuckled while staring at Luna's face which had the mark of his dirty boots.
But it wasn't enough to put her down.
"What? Turns out you nobilities are human too, you can get hit and get dirty. Hear this, I will soon reach the top and beat you."
Li Sheng uttered towards her with a smile before she chuckled at his words and deliver the finishing blow.
"Sure, I will wait then. I will give you my name once you are worthy to stand infront of me"
Luna replied as her fist finally connected to Li Sheng's stomach and rendered him unconscious.
Smiling, Luna looked at the bunch of thugs who have gathered around them and then she ordered them while she retrieved her weapon from Li Sheng's hands.
"Proceed to the temple, take that man with you also."
She took one last look at Li Sheng's unconscious body once again which was being held by Levin as she turned and walked out of the slums.
