Raquel sat at the edge of the bed, crossing her legs and staring out the window. She had barely touched the sofa can on her bedside table, while Liam leaned against the window, folding his arms tightly across his chest. The tension in the room was stretching widely.
"I can't sleep," Raquel said, still staring out the window.
Liam didn't answer right away. He watched his own reflection in the mirror. Then he said, "Yeah. Me neither."

"Liam... don't you think this is all a bit much?" she asked finally.
He moved over to sit beside her on the bed. "She's acting weird, right? Like, it's not just me?"
