Out of happiness, I started doing a little victory dance in her room, with the biggest smile on my face.

"I got the job at the hospital! As the "admitting clerk!" Can you believe it? I'm going to be working alongside you guys "I gushed.

Working in a Los Angeles hospital was fun, the rest of the workers treated me nicely maybe because I was the youngest.

"Well, A major water pipe burst, flooding some patient areas!" "Oh no, that sounds terrible! Were the patients okay?" I felt concerned for them.
"Thankfully, everyone was quickly relocated to safer areas. But it was messy! The management called for a staff meeting to know the cause, I think they suspected someone." she started.
"I can only imagine how hectic that must have been. I hope they can fix this issue permanently to avoid it happening again." I expressed.
"Absolutely! It was a wake-up call for all of us, especially the people in the plumbing department. They need to do better."
"Where's Alex? I asked. I haven't seen him since yesterday.
Alex went to his girlfriend's house. She said "Woah! I exclaimed. "He's enjoying himself" Haha… we both laughed.
"Please don't be late, okay?" "Yes, ma! I answered her. "Bye". She ended the call.
We got to the conference room, nurses and doctors and the technical staff were all settling down.
"Hey, guys. I beckoned to my friend to come sit close to me. so we sat in the back seat and began to chat.
"Alex, tell me everything, did you do it? I asked jokingly.
"Do what? He asked innocently. "Tell us about your girlfriend, how did it happen? Khloe chipped in. Well, nothing happened Alex said, smiling sheepishly.
"No way!! I almost shouted. Then, I heard my name.
"Miss jefferson?" "Ella Jefferson! She repeated this time much louder.
The sound of my name rolling angrily off Mrs. Benita's mouth "the senior doctor" gave me a warning call. Making everyone look in my direction.
I removed my hand from Alex's shoulder before looking down. Her scowl was obvious as her eyebrows furrowed, obviously disappointed at my lack of concentration.
Thankfully, a male senior doctor walked in, to talk over her. She glanced at me before walking back to her Seat.
After the meeting, we decided to head straight to the canteen, my stomach rumbling from hunger.
We got to the hospital canteen and placed our orders. While we were eating, we noticed two human girls sitting behind us.
Talking about a particular hot famous billionaire who just came into town to visit his parents and also to celebrate his birthday in a few weeks' time.
I looked at Khloe and said "This news seemed like the hottest topic of discussion lately. "Yeah,' Alex agrees.

So, we have a party to attend, let's go shopping! I said. As we all stood up to leave.

a half hour drive from home. Khole was meeting us there, after dressing the injury on her mom's leg Mrs. Gabriel.
The ride to the mall was just all about Alex nagging over his human girl who seemed to have gotten so attached to him, I laughed so hard listening to him explain how irritated he felt by her romantic gestures.
"Please leave someone's daughter alone. I jokingly said. You obviously led her on with all your charms and sweetness. I teased him.
``she literally threw herself at me' Alex defended himself. "You've been with her like three times, what do you expect?"
He grunted at my response, not enjoying my unhelpful comments. "But I informed her that I didn't want anything serious".
I'm going to have to meet up with her and probably make it clear again that it's just a game. So she can move on happily" How about that? "Really? Alex? "Just admit it, "admit what? Alex asked.

We got to the Mall, pulled the car into the garage and headed towards the main entrance. Suddenly, Khloe mind-linked me trying to where we were; "Alex? Khloe is almost here. " Let's wait for her here. so we can go in together, right? He nodded.
"Hey, guys. We turned to see Khloe running towards us. "How did you get here so fast? Alex asked.. "Well, I shifted.." she said giggling. Hmmm, I exclaimed looking at her suspiciously.
"Well… "Well, nothing! Khloe fired back. We looked at her and burst into laughter and we all walked in together.
Please guys! I'm craving ice cream, please can we get it before shopping? I asked, making puppy eyes. "Stop blackmailing us with those cute eyes of yours' Khloe stated. Well, it worked. Let's go, Alex said, holding my hands. As we walked over to the ice cream section.
I ordered mint Chocolate chips while both Alex and Khloe went for Strawberry and Vanilla flavours; Within a few minutes, our server brought out our orders.
"So, what's the party going to be like? Are we all
going to the party together or meeting each other
there?" I questioned, both of them shrugged their shoulders.
"We're all meeting at my den; so we are all going together,
" Alex started.
I work more than socialise, and this party is just the perfect opportunity to mingle or maybe find my mate.
