Chapter 186 - Chapter 186: The Alien Invasion

"System, use 100,000 Abstract Points to strengthen the Return to Origin Art. Take the remaining 10,000 points for the advanced lottery."

[Ding! Abstract Points deducted. Strengthening in progress...]

[Ding! Strengthening successful!]

[Return to Origin Art: A high-level cultivation technique from a top-tier cultivation world. Can be cultivated up to the Golden Immortal Realm!]

[Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining the Main God Godhead!]

As the notification faded, Victor watched his hard-earned points vanish in an instant.

One hundred thousand Abstract Points had only raised the cultivation ceiling by a single realm, somewhat disappointing, but not unexpected. He pulled up the strengthening panel, curious about the cost of the next upgrade.

Just as he'd suspected. Two hundred thousand points.

The same astronomical amount required to enhance his abstract abilities.

Next, Victor examined the description of the Main God Godhead he'd just received.

[Main God Godhead: Upon use, immediately obtain one of the twelve Main God Godheads. Those who possess a Main God Godhead can be directly promoted to Main God status!]

"Use it. Let's see how powerful this Main God really is."

The moment the words left his mouth, the Godhead began to transform. Its originally pristine white surface shifted to a deep aqua blue, radiating with the unmistakable essence of water elements.

[Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining the Godhead of Poseidon! Do you wish to merge?]

So it was Poseidon, the God of the Sea.

"What a waste. It's useless to me. Don't merge."

From the divine power emanating from the Godhead, Victor could gauge that a Main God's strength hovered around the early Golden Core Realm, respectable, but nowhere near his current level.

Moreover, the Main God's power was fixed. Unlike immortal cultivators who could grow stronger through practice, this was a dead end. There was no way Victor would shackle himself to such limitations.

He'd save it for later. Maybe someone else could use it.

Looked like his luck wasn't great today. Everything he'd pulled was completely useless to him.

Was it because he hadn't... because of the lack of lucky energy?

"Seems like I'll need to find Stelle for the next lottery draw."

Time passed swiftly, and five days slipped by in what felt like moments.

Early morning light filtered through the windows as Victor finished his morning exercises with the girls. He stretched, preparing to step outside for some fresh air, when the chat group's notification chimed with an urgent ping.

[Shinoa: @Victor Stone, Brother Victor, help me! Please help me!]

[Victor: What's wrong, Shinoa?]

[Shinoa: An invading army from another dimension has been discovered in my world! There are so many of them, 70% of the world's territory has already fallen!]

[Victor: What?! You're only telling me this after 70% of the world has been conquered?]

[Victor: What did I tell you before? If you encounter any kind of alien invasion, you have to notify me immediately!]

[Shinoa: Um... Victor, you've got it wrong. I just returned home today. I've been staying with Stelle this whole time.]

[Stelle: I can vouch for that.]

[Victor: ...]

Well, there was no need for Stelle to testify, Victor knew Shinoa had been with her the entire time. He'd simply forgotten in his post-exercise haze.

[Victor: Hold on. I'll be right there.]

After closing the chat interface, Victor patted Krul's tender, sun-kissed backside.

"Stop sleeping. Get up. We're going back to your homeland."

Krul rolled over, yawning sleepily. "Why the sudden trip?"

"Your old home got robbed."

Victor grabbed his clothes and tossed Krul's over to her.

"What do you mean?"

"An army from another world has invaded your original world. More than half of the territory has already fallen."

The sleepiness vanished from Krul's eyes in an instant. She shot upright in bed. "What about my brother? Is he okay?"

"Not clear yet. We'll find out when we get there."

Krul threw on her clothes with practiced speed.

Moments later, the two of them stepped through a dimensional gate, returning to the world of Seraph of the End.

The moment they emerged, Victor's expression darkened. An ominous dark red aura hung heavy in the air, and the entire sky had dimmed under the influence of this malevolent force.

He extended his spiritual sense, instantly covering the entire planet. What he discovered made his jaw tighten.

The situation was far worse than Shinoa had described. At least 80% of the world's territory had fallen.

All occupied territories had been corrupted by the invaders' evil techniques. The once-lush jungles had disappeared, replaced by grotesque flesh-and-blood vegetation that didn't belong to this world. Even the reinforced concrete structures had been transformed into writhing caves of organic matter.

This wasn't Earth anymore. This was hell.

"You're here."

Shinoa and Mahiru jogged over, their expressions grim.

"How long have you been back?" Victor asked.

"Less than ten minutes," Shinoa replied.

"Have you encountered any enemies yet?"

"Not yet."

Not enemies, not vampires, not humans, not even the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse that once ravaged this world. Nothing.

"Let's head to the nearest survivor base first. We need to understand the situation."

"Right!"

The group transformed into streams of light, shooting across the sky toward the closest stronghold.

When they arrived at the survivors' base, they were greeted by a sight that left them momentarily stunned.

Both humans and vampires were living together inside the stronghold. And stranger still, they seemed to be getting along remarkably well.

"Lady Krul? Is that you?"

A tall, blond vampire passing by recognized Krul immediately. His face lit up with joy, only for his expression to freeze when he noticed Victor standing beside her. Terror flashed across his features.

"Von Skruud?" Krul's eyes narrowed as she identified the seventeenth progenitor vampire. He was one of Crowley Eusford's servants, that traitorous bastard.

Before, Krul had never thought highly of Von Skruud, given his master's betrayal. But that was ancient history now. Both Crowley Eusford and Ferid Bathory were dead.

"Have you seen my brother? Ashera Tepes?"

Von Skruud glanced nervously at Victor, only relaxing slightly when it became clear the terrifying man wasn't about to force him to his knees.

"Reporting to Lady Krul, Lord Ashera is inside, commanding the defense."

"Good. At least my brother's become a commander." Victor's lips quirked into an amused smile.

Krul let out a breath of relief. As long as her brother was safe, everything else could be handled.

Von Skruud led them to the command center.

As soon as they entered, they were greeted by the sound of two men in a heated argument, one vampire, one human.

Surprisingly, the human was someone Victor recognized: Guren Ichinose.

"I am the commander-in-chief here! You will obey my orders! If you refuse, you're not leaving this place!"

"Damn it! Are you seriously going to make me stand here while my men die out there?"

The confrontation was clearly reaching a boiling point.
