"Wait, didn't Gu Yuena say she'd only send one maid? Where'd these two come from?"
Back at the manor, Victor faced the familiar question from his gathered companions. Their curious gazes swept over the two newcomers standing beside him. He gave the same answer he'd been giving all evening.
"She offered one, I picked up two. Simple math."
Qian Renxue and Ah Rou had already gotten used to Victor's tendency to attract women. They didn't even blush anymore, just regarded the girls before them with genuine curiosity. So many beautiful faces under one roof. Their master certainly had a gift for finding them.
It made sense, though. Victor wasn't just devastatingly handsome, he possessed overwhelming power. The perfect package that existed only in fantasies. Any woman would be drawn to that combination.
Victor spent the next few minutes introducing everyone, letting the girls get acquainted. Once the introductions wrapped up, he turned to Kurumi.
"I'm putting these three in your care. You're my head maid now, and my wife."
Kurumi's eyes lit up as she puffed out her modest chest with pride. "Leave it to me!"
She beckoned the newcomers with an elegant gesture. "Follow me. I'll show you around the manor."
"Yes, Miss Kurumi," the three chorused in unison.
After delegating the tour, Victor headed back to his room. He'd barely settled in when a notification chimed from the chat group.
[Lumine: @Victor, you around?]
Victor raised an eyebrow as he checked the message.
[Victor: Let me guess, you want another date?]
[Lumine: I do, actually. But that'll have to wait until I reach Sumeru.]
[Victor: Finally heading to Sumeru?]
[Lumine: Yeah, we're leaving tomorrow. That's why I wanted to ask you about anything I should watch out for once we get there.]
[Victor: With your current strength? Just steamroll everything.]
[Lumine: Could you be a bit more specific?]
[Victor: Sure. Teleport straight to Sumeru City, beat up the Grand Sage and Scaramouche, free Nahida, take her to the World Tree's roots, and then... actually, skip that last part. I have a better plan.]
[Lumine: Wait, what? What's the last part? And what's this better plan you mentioned?]
[Victor: Don't worry about it. I'll come with you when you arrive in Sumeru.]
If there was one thing about Genshin Impact that haunted players, it was watching the Greater Lord Rukkhadevata delete herself from existence, or witnessing Furina's self-sacrifice. Standing powerless while these moments unfolded left a bitter taste. But Victor wasn't powerless anymore. He had the strength and the plan to change things. He wouldn't let that regret play out again.
[Lumine: Alright then.]
[Victor: Remember, tag me the second you arrive. Oh, and if you run into a female NPC getting attacked by monsters on the way, save her and leave immediately. Don't linger.]
[Lumine: NPC?]
[Victor: Game character. Anyway, just call me as soon as you reach Sumeru.]
[Lumine: Got it!]
[Rin: Lumine, you're a girl. How can you talk like that?]
[Lumine: Can't help it. I've picked up bad habits from this rough-around-the-edges idiot.]
[Victor: If you've learned bad habits, maybe look in a mirror instead of blaming me. Answer me! Look in my eyes!]
[Lumine: Hmph! I refuse to listen! It's your fault no matter what!]
[Shinoa: Victor, your Star Destroyer has arrived.]
[Shinoa: Photo attached]
[Victor: That was fast!]
Victor immediately opened the image. The photo showed a massive space battleship docked outside the Herta Space Station. The vessel had a sleek, angular hull with a distinctly technological aesthetic. Weapons bristled across its upper and lower decks, radiating a beautiful, violent elegance.
"Damn, that's gorgeous! Perfect match for a handsome guy like me!"
Station Master Esta's taste aligned perfectly with his own. Though the photo couldn't convey the ship's true scale, it was clearly larger than the space station itself.
[Victor: Send it over!]
He couldn't wait to take it for a spin.
[Ding! Shinoa sent an exclusive red envelope to Victor!]
[Ding! Victor received the red envelope!]
[Kiana: Where's my Hyperion? Is the retrofit done yet?]
[Shinoa: The Hyperion needs more time.]
[Kiana: Why? It's just modifying a ship that's less than three hundred meters long. How is that slower?]
[Shinoa: Don't ask me. I have no idea why either.]
[Stelle: It makes sense. The Star Destroyer was a ready-made purchase from Station Master Esta. The Hyperion had to be shipped out for modifications, then shipped back. Obviously takes longer.]
[Kiana: Oh, I see.]
[Stelle: Speaking of Esta... this rich woman is on another level. She apparently spent half a year's allowance on that Star Destroyer!]
[Tsunade: Is half a year's allowance that much? My half-year salary wouldn't last me half a day of gambling... I mean, half a day.]
[Stelle: Don't compare your pocket change to this woman's wallet. She's universe-class rich!]
[Stelle: The money she spends shopping online in a single day could buy your entire planet!]
[Gu Yuena: !!!]
[Pokémon: !!!]
[Tsunade: !!!]
[Kurumi: Isn't that a bit excessive?]
[Stelle: That's what a cosmic-level rich woman means!]
[Victor: Stelle's right. Esta built the entire Herta Space Station with her allowance.]
[Lumine: I'm so jealous! I'd love to meet a rich woman like that.]
By this point, Victor had already traveled far from Earth, a full light-year away, in fact. His new toy was too massive to safely materialize near the planet. Out here in deep space, he wouldn't accidentally cause any disasters.
He withdrew the battleship from his system storage.
Instantly, a colossal vessel materialized before him, blotting out the stars. The ship looked exactly like it did in the photo, but the sense of oppression it radiated in person was incomparable. The sheer scale was overwhelming.
Victor extended his spiritual sense to scan the warship, confirming its basic parameters: over five thousand meters long, more than a thousand meters wide, and eight hundred meters tall.
He circled the battleship several times, admiring its handsome profile from every angle before finally entering through the main bay. The bridge was his first destination. As he approached, motion sensors detected his presence. Lights flickered on automatically, illuminating the previously dark command center. The terminal booted up on its own.
Before the bridge stretched a cliff-like drop of fifty or sixty meters. As he stepped forward, a massive holographic projection materialized above the chasm.
"Beautiful."
Victor couldn't contain his appreciation. He genuinely loved this ship. After a brief tour of the bridge, he approached the terminal and attempted to control the battleship.
The result? He couldn't manage it at all.
"Well, this is embarrassing. I forgot to ask Esta to install a control AI."
A vessel this enormous required AI assistance. He couldn't possibly handle it alone. Then a familiar voice chimed from his pocket, F-Bao, speaking through his phone.
"A certain obedient, adorable, hardworking, capable, and super-intelligent AI just happens to be passing by."
"Oh!" Victor's face lit up as he pulled out his phone. "How could I forget about you?"
He quickly connected F-Bao to the terminal.
"Can you pilot this ship?"
F-Bao's holographic projection appeared above the bridge. "Absolutely. Just give me a little time to access the ship's control systems, and I'll have complete command."
"Then I'll leave it to you!"
