"Isn't this the Sword of the Lake?" Asher picked up the Sword of the Lake that Morgan was holding and observed it for a while. He looked up at Vivian and asked, puzzled,
"I remember seeing this sword in the junk pile when I was in Avalon. Could it be that even then..." Asher remembered clearly seeing Excalibur in the castle at the bottom of the lake before. It was just discarded in a corner like junk, and he had even considered taking it back.
"I don't need to answer you." Vivian turned her face away, her expression cold, showing her disdain for Asher.
"Is that so? That's a shame... Then I'll just have to continue..." Asher said, taking out his noble phantasm against the Lady of the Lake a white feather.
Vivian's expression subtly changed. She subconsciously took half a step back, her voice quickening considerably: "The sword you saw at the bottom of the lake before was one I forged, but it does have a little bit of the Sword of the Lake's effect, which is the one you're holding now!"
It needs to be stated that as the incredibly high-status Lady of the Lake, she, Vivian, absolutely did not answer Asher because she was ticklish. She merely answered him begrudgingly out of consideration for Morgan. It was truly just that. If anyone questioned this, even people from different worlds, she would appear before them and grind them underfoot until they believed her.
"Has a little bit of the Sword of the Lake's effect?" Asher half-believed, half-doubted as he infused magic into this Sword of the Lake.
Swish! A dazzling golden light shone, and a terrifying aura enveloped the room. Asher couldn't help but widen his eyes. Oh! This is really something, my friend!
Artoria's eyes also widened a bit. She had seen the light cannon emitted by the Caliburn before, and now the light emitted by this Sword of the Lake was even brighter than the previous Caliburn, and its terrifying aura was also much stronger than the Caliburn to date. It was simply an enhanced version of the Caliburn. And most importantly, this weapon was not the real Sword of the Lake, but one forged by Vivian!
"Should I say, as expected of the Lady of the Lake?"
Asher couldn't help but praise, and a hint of admiration appeared in his eyes as he looked at Vivian. To think a forged sword would have such an effect?
"It's just this level, nothing special," Vivian said flatly, noticing Asher's admiring gaze, she spread her hands, though she couldn't help but feel a little proud in her heart. Hmm... this child is quite honest, after all. Vivian thought to herself. No, no... I absolutely cannot be deceived by his facade. Morgan must have been fooled by this very facade and become infatuated. Asher, that fellow, is very dangerous! He actually tried to increase her favorability. Sure enough, he has ulterior motives for her. Vivian quickly shook her head, her gaze towards Asher instantly becoming much more wary.
Just as Asher was about to stop infusing magic into the Sword of the Lake, Morgan looked at the Sword of the Lake with a thoughtful expression and suddenly said,
"Ash, try attacking me with the Sword of the Lake. Infuse magic into the sword."
Asher was startled and looked at Morgan Le Fay.
"Really?"
"Just try it," Morgan said flatly, seemingly seeing the worry in Asher's eyes. "Don't worry about hurting me.
Feel free to attack me." Scathach looked at the Sword of the Lake in Asher's hand, a hint of playfulness in her eyes. She probably knew why Morgan had said that to Asher.
Asher no longer hesitated. He raised this pseudo-Sword of the Lake. A brilliant golden light shone from the blade.
He raised the Caliburn and blasted it towards Morgan. In that instant, magic surged, strong winds arose, and a terrifying light seemed to pierce through heaven and earth.
Asher's expression couldn't help but change. Perhaps the true Sword of the Lake's power is no more than this?
Sister Morgan will be alright, right? After the light faded, Asher quickly looked forward. Morgan Le Fay was still standing in place, her face showing a calm expression of "as expected, just as I thought." Not just Morgan Le Fay, but everything in the room was unharmed. Asher was stunned for a long time. "What's going on?" Artoria was also stunned. She had clearly seen it from the side. The terrifying light cannon from the Sword of the Lake had been blasted directly at Morgan, but the light cannon had actually passed through Morgan's body and disappeared without even breaking through the wall.
"Don't you understand yet?" Morgan pointed to the pseudo-Sword of the Lake in Asher's hand. "This is just something with a superficial appearance. The attacks it emits are also illusory, like sunlight without warmth."
"Can't you understand? In short, this thing is as useless as Merlin's illusion. Simply put, it looks like it has great destructive power, but it actually has no destructive power at all. It's just a toy sword used to fool people."
Stare. Asher turned his head and stared intently at Vivian, his eyes deep.
Vivian snorted, saying faintly, "What does it matter?
What you want is a sword that represents royalty. This
sword is very successfully forged, ordinary people won't be able to tell. As long as you don't use it to attack others, no one will recognize it. That's enough, isn't it?"
Stare. Asher still stared intently at the somewhat sickly-looking girl.
"Wh-what do you want? Do you have an opinion?" Vivian asked, her face slightly red, gently shaking her twin tails.
"All talk and no show," Asher said. He had really been fooled earlier. Because it looked like a truly destructive attack, but it was utterly useless. Hmm... in terms of game data, this forged sword looks beautiful, but its attack power is zero. It can emit light much brighter than a flashlight, and it looks very intimidating. But it's useless.
"It's already very strong, okay? Ordinary people absolutely cannot forge a weapon that looks so much like the Sword of the Lake!" Vivian's tone was cold, but a blush of embarrassment had already appeared on her cold face. Vivian was a little embarrassed by what she herself was saying. Earlier, she was accepting Asher's praise, but now being exposed immediately made her feel a bit awkward.
"Where is the real Sword of the Lake?" Asher asked.
"If I knew, I would have severely beaten the thief, then tied them to a pillar and thrown them into the lake to drown," Vivian said, her voice filled with hatred. She could be considered the guardian fairy of the Sword of the Lake. Yet the Sword of the Lake was actually stolen.
If she really caught the thief, she swore she would teach them a severe lesson. Killing the thief would be too easy for them.
"You know, I'm thinking of tying you to a pillar and throwing you into the lake to drown right now," Morgan said with a smile. Vivian was startled, staring blankly at Morgan's smiling face. Hmm... Morgan is so beautiful even when she's angry.
