That afternoon, Asher sat before the throne, feeling an inexplicable sense of strangeness.

"Why aren't Lord Agravain and Lord Gawain here today? How odd," he murmured to himself. Normally, Agravain would arrive around this time each day to report on the day's work, but today he was late. Could something have delayed them? Asher couldn't help but wonder.

"Perhaps they think they can handle those matters themselves, so they didn't come to bother you," Morgan said with a smile, feeling very pleased. Agravain, though stubborn, still understood reason. As for Gawain — she was quite relieved; that child was rather intelligent. Now, finally, no one would disturb them.

"Is that so?" Asher frowned, still feeling that something wasn't quite right. Morgan le Fay sat close beside him, crossing her legs, and continued with a smile, "Of course. If it were something very important, how could they not come to you?"

"That's true," Asher nodded slightly upon hearing this, then glanced at the woman beside him. He subconsciously looked down and saw Morgan le Fay was wearing a dress, her full, slender legs completely visible.

"Sister Morgan, it might be better not to cross your legs. It wouldn't be good if someone came in and saw," Asher kindly reminded her.

"It's fine, no one will be coming for a while," Morgan said casually, slowly swinging her crossed foot. The nail on her toe in the sandal was painted a seductive red, drawing extra attention.

"Perhaps someone will come to report something soon?" Asher shook his head helplessly. "You can never tell."

"Don't worry, no one will come," Morgan simply smiled faintly, her smile full of confidence.

"That confident?" Asher frowned, then his gaze subconsciously fell on Morgan's constantly swinging foot.

"Because everyone knows you usually work hard, so if there's anything, they'll try to handle it themselves and won't bother you," Morgan noticed Asher's gaze, and a hint of pleasure appeared in her eyes, but she pretended not to notice, and continued slowly: "Besides, they have their own things to be busy with."

"I see." Asher nodded gently in agreement, forcing his gaze away from Morgan. Thinking about it, it was true. Whether it was Agravain, Gawain, or anyone else, they needed their own free time. As expected, Sister Morgan thought things through thoroughly.

Morgan stopped speaking. She remained seated with her legs crossed, turning her head to casually glance at Asher. She couldn't help but narrow her eyes, her body naturally relaxing as she leaned against Asher, enjoying the beautiful moment.

Asher didn't say anything either; he was already used to Morgan's intimate gestures.

"By the way, why haven't I seen Lily these past two days?" Morgan suddenly asked. Logically, as Asher's court steward, she should be by Asher's side during the day, but for two days, Lily had basically not been seen, which was indeed a bit strange.

"Lily has been teaching Princess Guinevere martial arts these past two days," Asher said. He had previously promised Guinevere that he would teach her martial arts, but often had people coming to him for other things after teaching for only a short while. So, Asher had no choice but to let Artoria take his place. After all, he had made a promise, and it wouldn't be good to back out now. Moreover, Lily's martial arts wouldn't be any worse than his.

"Is that so... Then let's go find them now," Morgan said after a moment of contemplation. "Anyway, there's nothing to do just sitting here."

Asher thought about it carefully; it was indeed true. No one had come to find him so late today, so there was probably nothing that needed his attention. It would be a good opportunity to see how Lily was teaching Guinevere. For some reason, he found the thought quite amusing.

"Give me a hand, my leg's a bit numb from sitting for so long," Morgan said, looking at Asher as he stood up.

"Leg numb...?" Asher wondered if his ears were playing tricks on him. The Goddess of Death saying her leg was numb from sitting too long?

"You might as well say you can't walk," Asher retorted, but still extended his hand to help Morgan le Fay up.

Morgan blinked, looking at Asher, who was about to step forward. Her eyes flickered, and she suddenly squatted down.

"What's wrong, Sister Morgan?" Asher found his hand grasped by Morgan, unable to move. He turned to look and saw her squatting on the ground. He quickly asked with concern.

"My leg's numb from sitting for too long, I can't walk," Morgan looked up. "Carry me."

"...Can't you make up a more believable lie?" Asher muttered helplessly. But he still squatted down. "Come on up."

Morgan looked at Asher with a slight surprise, her eyes soft. He knows it's a lie, but he still agreed to my request? This child is truly kind.

Morgan le Fay wrapped her arms around Asher's neck. She suddenly thought of something and added, "Let me tell you first, if you can't carry me now or if you dare to complain that I'm heavy, you're dead."

"Got it, got it. You're not that heavy," Asher placed his hands on Morgan's full, smooth thighs, leaned slightly forward, and stood up.

"You have good stamina," Morgan said in surprise.

"I am the White Dragon's body, after all. Carrying a person is no problem," Asher's voice grew a bit prouder at the end.

"But you're not tall enough," Morgan said with a smile.

"Sister!"

Hearing Asher's somewhat annoyed voice, Morgan laughed even more happily, gently patting his head, "Just kidding, you're great, hurry up."

Morgan felt much better by the time she finished speaking. This had never happened before; she had only truly felt this happy since meeting Asher.

Asher was about to leave the hall with Morgan le Fay on his back, but before he could take two steps, a voice suddenly came from the doorway.

"Princess Morgan, King Arthur."

Morgan: "..."

Upon hearing that voice, Morgan le Fay's smile gradually solidified. After feeling Asher put her down, she watched Agravain stride into the hall, her slender fingers pinching her palm so hard it left bruises.

"Sister Morgan, I told you Lord Agravain would definitely have something, but you didn't believe me," Asher said, smiling at Morgan.

Morgan le Fay forced herself to display what she believed was a beautiful smile, turning her head to look at Agravain, her eyes seemingly burning with angry flames.

"Agravain, you're truly dedicated~"

Upon hearing Morgan's gentle voice, even Agravain, known as the Iron Knight, couldn't help but feel a shudder run through him. He finally managed to compose himself and pulled out a letter.

"A letter from King Leodegrace!" Agravain said.

He then secretly glanced at his mother. Although he didn't speak, his meaning was clear: I didn't deliberately come to bother King Arthur; it's King Leodegrace's issue.

"A letter from Guinevere's father? Is it related to the territory we recaptured recently?"

Asher's eyes held a hint of doubt. He took the letter, opened it, and quickly read through it.

The letter roughly described King Leodegrace and his wife's situation. After that, he mentioned Guinevere's birthday, essentially wanting Asher to send someone to bring Guinevere back for a birthday banquet, and he solemnly invited Asher to attend.

Morgan le Fay leaned closer and glanced at it, muttering to herself, "What is that old man up to?"

Guinevere's birthday, so having Asher send someone to bring Guinevere back was understandable, but why invite Asher to attend as well?

"The date is two days from now... I'll go then," Asher folded the letter back up and put it away, looking at Agravain. "Thank you for your hard work, Lord Agravain."

"No, it's nothing," Agravain shook his head. "Just doing my duty."

"I'll go with you two days later," Morgan le Fay said.

Asher thought for a moment, then nodded. He wasn't very familiar with the etiquette between these nobles. Having Morgan there would make him feel more at ease. And since he wanted to change Morgan le Fay's "witch" image in others' minds, it would be better to have her accompany him to such social events.

Of course, provided that Morgan didn't do anything terrifying at such social gatherings.

But thinking about it, that shouldn't happen. After all, Sister Morgan had such a good temper; she wouldn't usually get angry, and it was even less likely that she would do anything scary.

As Asher thought of this, Morgan le Fay beside him raised her hand and stretched her limbs. Her full bosom seemed almost to burst forth, her perfect figure making Asher unable to resist glancing at her twice. Agravain, however, kept his head down, never daring to look up at the woman. He wondered if it was his imagination, but he felt as if his mother had been intentionally or unintentionally looking at him the whole time.

Morgan maintained her usual smile and gently patted Asher's shoulder. "You can go to the training ground to find Lily and them first. I'll be there in a while."

Asher was slightly surprised. "Do you have something else, Sister Morgan?"

"Mhm, I have some other matters to handle."

Morgan le Fay gave Agravain a deep look, smiling. "Let's talk privately. It's been a while since we caught up."

Agravain's expression stiffened slightly. Under Morgan's gentle, smiling gaze, he bravely nodded and followed her out of the hall.

They seemed to have quite an intimate relationship. As expected, Sister Morgan's temper was slowly getting better, and she was now very gentle with her adopted son.

Asher watched the two leave, sighing inwardly.

He should go see Lily first...

Asher stepped out of the hall and headed towards the training ground.
