"Is the matter I told you about handled?"
That evening, Asher sat in the palace, asking Artoria.
"I've already sent people to prepare," Artoria replied, a hint of confusion in her eyes. "Will this really work?"
"Whether it works for the tribes or not, it will at least be useful for our people," Asher said, gently tapping his fingers on the armrest. "So just do as I say."
Artoria nodded, then glanced around the hall. "I heard an envoy came to see Princess Guinevere today. Where is she now?"
"Sister Uathach came by earlier. I'm not sure what they talked about, but they seemed to be getting along. Then they left together," Asher replied, somewhat helplessly.
Uathach had always been the energetic type, and her bubbly personality was charming—he just didn't expect her to kidnap Guinevere after a brief chat.
"Oh, by the way—my Shishou should still be here, right?" Asher suddenly asked.
"Mhm." Artoria nodded. "Imperial Sister said she wanted to chat with your teacher, so I took her there after I finished handling your task."
Asher's expression froze. He turned slowly toward the ever-calm Artoria.
"You... you brought Sister Morgan to my Shishou?"
Artoria nodded, then noticed Asher's uneasy face. "What's wrong?" she asked, confused.
"Nothing... take me to them now."
Asher thought bitterly to himself: Are you trying to get them to tear down the royal castle? Why would you bring Morgan to my Shishou!?
Still, the situation had already unfolded—no point in blaming Lily now. Better to hurry and find them.
With that, Asher stood up quickly and urged Artoria to lead the way to Scathach and Morgan le Fay.
---
"Sure enough, it's here..."
When they reached the empty dueling ground, Asher wiped away the cold sweat on his forehead. His eyes scanned the area until he spotted Morgan and Scathach beneath a stairway.
Morgan looked at the anxious Asher and smiled faintly. "Did Lily tell you your Shishou and I were together, so you rushed over?"
Asher's face turned awkward. "Sister, what were you talking about with my Shishou?"
"Just giving this woman a little lecture," Morgan replied, glancing at Scathach beside her.
Scathach understood Morgan's irritation. She had known Morgan would take over Asher's magic training after her. That had always been the deal—as payment for helping Asher draw the Caliburn.
Scathach had agreed to this from the beginning but now acted like the victim. And then, Morgan remembered Asher had even kissed Scathach last night...
The more she thought about it, the more upset Morgan became, so she had come to confront her.
Always pretending to be a noble, aloof Shishou... but in truth, she was as crafty as they came. That was Morgan's view of Scathach.
"You don't really understand your Shishou at all, Ash," Morgan said, smiling.
"Huh?" Asher blinked, clearly lost.
"I won't go into details." Morgan gave Scathach a sidelong glance. "Just know she's very cunning."
Cunning...? Shishou...?
Asher was still confused.
Scathach stood up, looking straight at him. "It's been a while since we trained, hasn't it? How about a match?"
Asher immediately snapped out of his thoughts and nodded. He hadn't sparred with his Shishou in some time and wanted to show her how far he'd come.
---
After a fierce bout, Asher was breathing lightly, staring up at Scathach, who nodded at him.
"Very good. You've improved a lot. But your focus was a little off."
Before Asher could reply, Morgan—who had appeared beside them at some point—chuckled.
"Of course his focus was off. Look at you, dressed like that—how do you expect a proper young man to concentrate?"
Scathach might not have noticed, but Morgan, watching from the side, had seen everything. The tight-fitting outfit, the chest that bounced with every move—it was enough to make anyone lose composure. Even Morgan had glanced at it more than once.
Asher looked embarrassed, unsure what to say.
No explanation would help—Morgan had witnessed everything. He really had been a bit distracted...
"Alright, alright, let's not dwell on that." Morgan suddenly grinned. "Let's have a match too, Ash~"
She leaned in. "Don't worry, older sister is very gentle. I won't treat you like that woman did."
Scathach's earlier sparring had been brutal. If not for his stamina overload, Asher would've collapsed long ago.
"Another match...?" Asher hesitated. It wasn't that he didn't want to, but he was still exhausted.
"You only want to train with your Shishou? You don't want to play with your big sister?" Morgan smiled with teasing eyes.
Asher: "..."
From her tone, it was clear—if he refused, she'd be upset.
"...Then I'll trouble Sister Morgan to train me again," Asher said after a moment.
Scathach didn't object. She was curious to see Morgan's fighting style. Their relationship might be tense, but Morgan was certainly skilled.
"Mhm, that's more like it." Morgan smiled in satisfaction. "Older sister will train you well—body and mind."
She wagged her finger playfully, clearly referring to their past intimate moment.
Asher understood instantly and glanced nervously at Scathach. Seeing she remained unaware, he sighed in relief and looked back at Morgan. "Please instruct me, Sister Morgan."
"Mhm."
Morgan nodded, then leaned in and whispered with a smile, "How exciting, isn't it? Talking about this in front of your Shishou~"
"Please don't do this again, Sister Morgan," Asher pleaded weakly.
"Mhm~ next time, right in front of her," she teased, stepping back.
"Come now, it's been a while since I've trained you."
She raised her hand, a black light forming.
"This time, I'm going to really enjoy myself."
---
After the second match, Asher collapsed on the training ground, gasping for breath. His crown had rolled to the side.
Are those two women in cahoots or what? And Sister Morgan... what happened to 'being gentle'?!
Women...
Just then, he heard footsteps. Opening his eyes, he saw Artoria approaching, gently placing his crown back on his head.
"Thank you..." he said between breaths.
Lily really was the best—quiet, dependable, and... well, not exactly virtuous, but straightforward.
"It's nothing," she replied, then paused.
"...Shall we have a match too?" Her eyes sparkled with excitement. "It's been a few days since we sparred."
Asher: "???"
Lily, can't you see I can barely stand right now?
Her face turned slightly downcast. "...No?"
Asher: "..."
"Then let's have another one."
