Georgia's POV
The day of Wendy's hospital discharge finally came, and both Katie and I were so excited that neither of us got much sleep. Katie, in fact, woke up early on her own for the very first time—which, if you know her, says a lot about how thrilled she was.
Since it was a workday, I insisted that Nick didn't need to come with us. The driver and bodyguards were enough, and I didn't want him missing another day at work. He's been skipping too often just to be with me, and as much as I adore him for that, I know he had a major project that needed his attention. So, after a little pouting and hesitation, he finally left for the office.
When Katie and I stepped into Wendy's VIP hospital room, she was already standing by the bed, neatly packing her things.
"Nanna!" Katie squealed, ready to run straight into her arms.
But I quickly caught her hand. "Katie, sweetheart, don't jump on Nanna Wendy. She's still healing, remember? Be gentle, okay?"
