Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: I Laughed When I Met You

N/A: Thanks for the feedback, though I feel like some of the filler in this chapter is a bit ass.

Days passed as the Uruk residents soon slowly forgot the seer who used to live in that house. Tianzun had requested for Siduri to help him move.

He had switched to a new identity an identity that, surprisingly, the king himself had helped out.

"Never thought I'd be working as the court clown."

Yes a clown not a jester.

Gilgamesh grinned as Tianzun appeared before him.

"We meet again clown." Gilgamesh's condescending look grinned at him in amusement. "Yes, very good. Just looking at your pitiful self is enough to bring me amusement. Your very existence is laughable."

Tianzun tilted his head as he asked, "Are you still hung up about my prophecy?" Gilgamesh grinned in response before he frowned just as fast.

A golden ripple in space appeared behind Tianzun's neck. "Be careful what you say fool. One more misstep and your mongrel existence will cease to exist."

Tianzun grinned as the coin he flipped finally landed on heads. The question he had been asking every day in order to fulfill his deal with Siduri. Fate had begun to move and he nodded at Siduri before he faced the king.

"Your majesty, I'll take my leave." Tainzun bowed before leaving as he turned to Siduri and whispered, "Good luck Miss Siduri."

The clown mask donned once again as he exited the ziggurat as the he gazed at the people. Many were productive, but it was clear that the tyrannical rule of Gilgamesh had taken its toll on the people.

Tianzun simply returned to his new place at the edge of the city as he took in the sight of the common people.

"Wait! Please-" A voice rang out as Tianzun turned around to see another child. The clown mask gave no hint of emotion as he simply stared before asking in a light voice, "What can I do for you?"

The child stared before handing Tianzun a bronze coin, "I heard that you were a seer? Please tell me my future and the future of Uruk."

Tianzun took the bronze coin before he smirked within the mask, "No need to ask. The one who is destined to stop the king has arrived. Isn't that right? Chain of heaven... Enkidu."

The child morphed into a beautiful doll like human with lush green hair. "Your abilities were not exaggerated."

Tianzun raised an eyebrow, "So why look for me?" He had no idea why Enkidu had to shift into the form of a child and ask him these questions.

Enkidu smiled, "Shamhat told me of a seer, one that was not blessed by the gods but held a very special gift. The king is powerful and seeing the nature of the citizens and his tyranny I had to ask about my chance of success."

Enkidu looked increasingly intrigued about his "curtain" as he asked, "That cloak, it's not normal. Not of this world... What is it?"

As a being most in-tune with nature, Enkidu could clearly feel that the cloak was nothing from this world.

Tianzun shrugged, "I'm not entirely aware, however if you wish to know your future... Knowing is not enough. All I can say is that you'll succeed, but not in the way you think. The wheel of fate has turned, there's no stopping it now."

Enkidu bowed at the confirmation, "Thank you. I assure you I will defeat the king."

Tianzun shook his head, "No, I'm only telling the truth. Go forth beautiful one of green. Be more mindful of your actions when it comes to the bull of heaven." Tianzun soon walked away as he soon burst out into laughter. Despite his interferences, nothing had changed.

"I've just met you... but I've already seen your grave."

He was still a fool trying to make his own mark on fate only to be left with nothing. Tianzun soon made his way to the game square.

A square in the city where people would gamble. Now that was something he could get on. If there was something Tianzun loved, it would be money.

The shiny gold coins just felt so wonderful.

Everyone in the square soon stilled as they glared at him in anger. Tianzun couldn't give less of a crap.

He sat down and placed a single gold coin on the table. "I'd like to bet on that fat rat." He grinned as he waited for the rat racing to begin.

Everyone looked shocked thinking that the clown would finally lose. Betting on the fattest rat was pure stupidity.

Everyone quickly bet on the other rats as they waited for the rat race to begin.

"Ready?"

"Begin!"

The cages opened as the rats sprung out. Tianzun grinned as he already knew that the fat rat would never reach the finish line.

In an instant burst of energy, the fat rat set upon the skinnier rat as he began to consume it. In a panic, the other rats attempted to flee out of fear, completely forgetting their mission to reach the finish line.

In an instant the fat rat continued to chase after the other rats. The thin rats had speed but not enough as they soon too were consumed.

Tianzun could only snicker, "Such levels of greed."

Everyone stared at the clown rubbing his hands together. Sure the fat rat would have never won the long race, but he didn't need to win the race if he could just get rid of the other competitors.

In an instant the danger sense kicked in as the rat began to mutate and bulge. In an instant a demonic feral look overtook the rat as it snarled and began to set it's eyes on the other people instead.

Tianzun immediately took out a bunch of floppy leaves as he threw them instantly. The leaves became stiff as they soared out and punctured the rat.

The rat lunged at the clown only to miss as the clown exhibited inhuman flexibility. Confusion overtook the rat, never could it have thought such movements would be possible in a human.

The people soon stopped running as they watched the clown dance gracefully while battling the rat.

The graceful movements and balance brought about a sense of amazement. It was perhaps better than watching a prostitute.

Prostitutes could never be that cool.

A final shower of razor leaves rained down as the rat collapsed on the floor.

Tianzun looked at the applauding audience before his intuition kicked in as naturally bent down with a bow.

In that instant the guards had arrived and the clown had vanished.
