Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Make The Shots Count

When I looked at the signature on the confidential document created by whoever created it, I took a photo and saved it on my cell phone.

Putting the documents back in their proper place, I showed the signature of the creator below... while I slowly walked to the exit door with the victim's blood on my hands.

[Sincerely: MODOK]

[At Tengu University (Classroom) (In the back seat) - 11:21 AM]

"I want you to understand one thing, you can't let this stage of the food exceed twenty minutes in the oven... the taste changes dramatically and the food would not be as palatable as it should be."

While the teacher explained the Ratatouille recipe, I was keeping my mind focused on what happened yesterday.

How do they have so much power that they can use other companies' names to camouflage their own? Kind of like all regional and international heroes know the I.M.A... But a hero whose name was Tony Stark was the main target of this.

"What if..." An idea came to mind, and with a pencil, I wrote it down in my notebook, jotting down what I had thought.

Most likely, I.M.A. does not have a single owner... Modok may be the main figure, but there is something secondary that can achieve a force that can replace his command if something happens.

Tony Stark only destroyed Aldrich Killian, who was one of the leaders at the time... since I.M.A. never acted solely on the orders of its leader, it was always the unique work of each person who shared the same ideology of dominating all world governments.

This was written in the documents, every event related to the threat to I.M.A.'s image was encrypted in all documents in each sector as a way to motivate those who want to achieve a greater goal for world domination.

It's funny that it's only in this classroom that ideas flow better... at home I always end up relaxing too much, maybe my mind works better in places that require mental work.

Wait, but... that doctor yesterday made me realize something.

[POV: Memories from yesterday]

"Surrendering to this fate is complicated... Robert Forson."

I threw his body into a dumpster while I read his name tag.

"He had recently left Skinner's box to become an independent person who worked only in this place... a prisoner who freed himself from an illusory box, how crazy."

I read Robert's personal documents while searching for the confidential document on the I.M.A.'s camouflage plan.

Not everything is rosy for those who surrender to the dark side... this has been my fate since I killed all the Uchihas and begged for Sasuke's life to be spared.

If Robert wanted to stay in this organization, that's not my problem.

[POV: Memories over]

"I hope you all understood this final recipe. We'll have a test in the kitchen next week." The teacher said goodbye to everyone in the classroom, and I ended up taking my notebook to go to Hashirama's room.

"Hmm... is class over already? I'm so sleepy." A girl muttered, wondering if class was over while lying with her head on the table.

Her yellow right eye, which looked like a clock, crossed my back as I was closing the classroom door.

"Hmm, what a familiar man..." She murmured in a tone of interest, but her head couldn't stay up and she ended up sleeping on the desk again.

[At Tengu University (In Hashirama's classroom) (Sitting in the same chair near the door) - 11:50 AM]

"Hmm..." I muttered with my head down, thinking about various possibilities... but there was one thing that seemed almost certain, but without exact confirmation.

"Do you like chocolate milk, Itachi?" Hashirama asked as he handed me a box of liquid chocolate milk to drink.

My expression remained neutral when I saw him offering me that box of chocolate milk; he doesn't really seem like an old adult to me.

"I can try it if you want." I end up taking the box and pulling out the small straw stuck to the side and piercing the hole to drink.

Hashirama sat back down in his chair with a feeling of momentary fulfillment. Since yesterday, he had felt more relieved than usual.

"What is this relief? Shouldn't you be worried about the mission?" I asked as I pointed to the juice box in front of him.

"No, I'm just... relieved that I can count on you." Hashirama admits his relief, citing my presence as the main reason.

I get up from the chair and throw the chocolate milk box into the small trash can next to it.

"So, what will the next mission be?"

Hashirama, with a downcast look, placed the wooden block on the table that represented the main objective of the mission and, above all, my reward.

"We won't have much time... soon they will hunt you down for killing that doctor." He states as he throws a bandana from the Leaf Village into my hands. "Find out who the current leader of the I.M.A. is and destroy Kakuzu with your own hands using this bandana."

My eyes looked at that bandana, even though it wasn't a Konohagakure bandana produced in our other world where we died... I understood a little of the message he wanted to convey.

"Without any cuts in the bandana, a new beginning." I tied the bandana around my head and opened the door to leave the room.

"Itachi." Hashirama suddenly calls me.

I paid attention to his last words, and when I least expected it... he gets up and slowly walks over to me to hug me.

"Make the shots count, good luck." He let go of me as he placed his right hand on my shoulder.

"You can count on me, there will be no failure in my mission." I say goodbye to Hashirama, leaving that room and locking the door behind me to continue my mission to invade the large base and annihilate Kakuzu.
