Chapter 8 - ATTITUDE

Adrien's POV

Oh God it's morning already. I was too lazy to get up but I had to get up, I definitely had no other choice than to make breakfast for the house....but telling Collins to give... forget... forget I don't have enough evidence to conclude but....my thoughts were cut off by Kelvin who left a heavy knock at my door...I knew for sure he was hungry I hurried out of the room seeing Kelvin like he was going to die, made me laugh. "Guy guess what" Kelvin I'm not in the mood for your stupid guess I definitely knew it would be something stupid. "but I'm definitely going to be serious now ok, I had a dream I was going to eat a full chicken pot but you told me you made my favourite and come to think of it, I had wash lettuce and other vegetables" I laughed so hard as I told Kelvin "brooo do you realise it's coming through now and here" he seem confused but immediately understood the whole situation and was about running, too bad I held his shirt and we had to deal with the Cooking today.

While we were in the kitchen in silence doing the dishes first, Kelvin broke the silence "Have you noticed anything?" "With who?" I tried to play along but he blunted out and I smiled.... "Bro why are you smiling it's a serious question though" "nahhh I haven't it's not my business so that's why I'm not concerned....well the lettuce is inside the sink wash it and also with the remaining vegetables in the bowl" "Aswear I shouldn't have woken you up that I was hungry rather had cereals honestly" "but when I call you to eat you'd open your big lips to eat" I teased him.

"Morning Guys" Collins greeted "so what do we have on the table this morning?" I smiled at him till he was about leaving, "a construction today bro" "what?? A construction?" Yes nigga Kelvin said but he was caution about his language. "Hey C you free?" "Yeah" Collins answered, "can we have a talk?" "sure call me when you're ready" aight Collins left as Kelvin was ready to bug his face in Adrien's mouth trying to figure out why he wanted to talk to Collins privately.

The morning rain drizzled steadily, casting a misty veil over the balcony where Adrien stood, arms crossed. Collins joined him moments later, stepping into the damp air despite the cold.

"You noticed anything different about Ty lately?" Adrien asked, his voice cutting through the quiet.

Collins exhaled, glancing at the wet railing. "Yeah… always indoors, says less than usual. But—"

Adrien interrupted, his tone more curious than impatient. "What's your relationship with Zoey?"

Collins smirked. "Zoey? She's my puffer fish. More like a sister to me. Since I've got none, you know."

Adrien nodded in understanding but didn't drop the subject. "I feel like Ty… well, I think he likes Zoey."

A flicker of amusement crossed Collins' face. "I think so too."

They exchanged a knowing glance before setting a subtle plan in motion—a way to confirm their suspicions about Ty's feelings.

Just as their conversation wrapped up, Kelvin walked in, catching the end of their discussion. But before he could ask, Collins excused himself. Adrien lingered just long enough to instruct Kelvin, "Move the chairs aside. Don't want them drenched."

Kelvin did as he was told.

Collins told Ty, "Why don't we talk outside."

Ty, not even looking up, muttered, "Better indoors."

Collins found Ty in his room, lying back on his bed, scrolling through his phone.

"Sooo… what's with the talk?" Ty asked without looking up.

Collins cleared his throat, shifting awkwardly. Ty narrowed his eyes—that was unusual.

"Why the look, bro?" Collins asked, sensing the scrutiny.

Ty smirked. "Just waiting for you to spit it out."

Collins hesitated before diving in. "I've been wanting to tell you… You should make a move. Stop expecting what you want to come to you."

Ty's brows furrowed. "Make a move? On what exactly?"

Collins gave him a knowing look. "Zoey."

Ty stiffened, his casual demeanor cracking. "What about Zoey?" His voice was sharper than necessary.

Collins smirked. "See? You're already getting defensive. You can't lie to me. I know you, bro. You hate when people notice you have feelings because you always put on that 'I don't care' act."

Ty scoffed, waving him off. "Bro, it's not that—"

"No, it's obvious." Collins cut him off. "This is exactly how it was with you and Chl—"

Ty sat up fast, his eyes flashing with anger. "Don't." His voice was dangerously low.

Collins raised his hands in surrender. "Alright, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring that up."

Ty exhaled sharply, trying to rein in his emotions. "It's not that I don't get you, but what's with your sudden attitude?"

"From who? Me?"

"Of course, you."

Collins shook his head. "No, it's not me. It's you. You act cool with the guys but get overly sensitive and angry around Zoey. Or what? Is she disgusting to you? Is that your excuse?"

Ty's jaw clenched, but he said nothing.

Collins pressed on. "She's pure human now, or are you still stuck on those old memories of her?" He softened his tone. "Look, I just want you to think about everything I've said. You might not realize it, but this could turn into an obsession. And trust me, obsession is just accumulated love, twisted into something uncontrollable."

Ty chuckled dryly. "Bro, love doesn't always lead to obsession." He paused, then smirked. "But what if she's into you instead?"

Collins snorted. "Nah, she can't be. She's like a younger sister to me."

Ty leaned back, arms crossed. "If you say so."

Collins stood up, grinning. "I understand you, though. Thanks, Mr. Obsession."

They both burst into laughter.

"I'm glad." Collins patted Ty's shoulder before heading out, leaving Ty alone with his thoughts.

And for the first time in a long while, Ty wondered—
